  • Mud, Rocks, and River crossings challenge us as we explore the Lal Lal area.
    Our camera car struggled in places which laid down the gauntlet. Mike with his Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tyres gripped and propelled him up the hill.
    We check out the new Trek Hardware touring setup with his new Boss Aluminium M-Spec tray and canopy. It features a myCOOLMAN Fridge, two travel buddy ovens, a coffee machine, and so much more!
    Gerry explains the benefits of the Ridepro 4X4 suspension ROX Shocks.
    The Roadsafe 4WD Firesticks come in handy for cooking dinner.
    And, Tony from Donaldson explains filtration.
    We're joined by:
    Mike from Trek Hardware in his Boss Aluminium equipped Ford Ranger
    Peter from Roadsafe 4WD in his newly wrapped Isuzu DMAX
    Gerry from VRS/Ridepro 4X4 Suspension in his surprisingly capable LDV T60
    Tony from Donaldson who is riding with Simon in the Holden C7

    Great channel just started watching and clicked on this to look at the ldv go and it was in my neck of the woods great to see you showing what's in VIC as there's not enough promotion like the Lal Lal falls and other small places to see I watched the Otways one as well was good I grew up down there great there to and great you spend in small local towns halps out a lot hope to see heaps more to come the ldv looks very capable but it's of the books for me for know. But been inspired to get the old xj back on the road and get back out there may see you all out there

    Its not a bad spot at all. A couple of nice quiet camp spots. Were the falls running out at Lal Lal?

    • @4WDTV

      Yes falls were awesome but didn't have time to film them or squeeze them into the episode. We will be going back though, plenty more to see and do there.

      It seems to follow every where the others go. Just a bit short on accessories and they need to sort the limited tyre size issue, but otherwise it is decent.

    How come you go to these places but you don't say any track names or where you enter from??

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jayson, thank you for asking. There are a variety of reasons and often it is just that we don't have the time to squeeze all the information in. We do though enjoy it when viewers ask. In this case, the three tracks were all on the left (east) side of the track that goes past the Blast Furnace Campsite. It's very easy to find to the east of Lal Lal. All three tracks are un-named...so there are no sign posts (which we frequently show) or names to mention.

  • @ethannewnham74
    @ethannewnham74 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What are the names of the tracks that you were driving

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      no names mate but if you drive past the Blast Furnace camp site and continue south, they are all in a row on the left (to the east), one after another. All very easy to find and close together. Plus plenty more in the area to explore.

      oh, our format hasn't changed in 17 years but yeah it's a tough balance when we have to totally pay for everything ourselves but we have stuck to our ethos of researching and selecting brands and products before we work with anyone, so our viewers know we are representing the things that we have already tested and chosen.
