    • @MiaogisTeas
      @MiaogisTeas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, the software sucks. My current workflow for DNG8 is to run it through Raw+ first to stack the DNG, then colour grade - output as TIFF, then to Kandao Studio for stitching. Send that equirectangular image to CaptureOne for noise reduction and sharpening and finally to my phone if I want to make it into a tiny planets or reframed image. Ugh. The jpegs out of the camera are still sharper than from the DNG8 stack, but are really poor in other respects.
      Some people have suggested using Mistika VR but honestly the thought of paying an exorbitant price just to fix Kandao's problems pisses me off. Tried with PTgui but it still doesn't work quite right.
      Keep the camera. The hardware is as good as they'll make it.

    @benclaremont i go riding my utv on trails and recently decided to switch from a gopro set up to an insta360 one x set up. its great that the one x can capture multiple angles but what happens if i want to use two or three in a dedicated type set up. how can i control them all at one and how can we speed up the editing process?

    Thanks for the video, it partially influenced me to buy this camera. But I'm still not clear on your workflow. I'm also shooting bracketed DNG8s but I don't know how to stitch them reliably. I can use the KanDao Raw+ to merge the DNG8 files and then I can do the HDR merge in LR or whatever. I'm stuck at the stitching step. KanDao Raw+ does not convert to other formats and KanDao Studio does not support KanDao raw files or tiffs/jpegs from other software. It's a bit of a catch 22. At the moment I'm using PTGui for stitching but it is not reliable.

    Hi,
    I have an issue with the equirectangular outputs stitched in-camera and I wonder if anyone has encountered it too. They're all slightly different, like if they've been processed with different pitch, roll and yaw parameters. Dual fisheye originals look ok when processed with Qoocam Studio.
    Has anyone encountered the same problem?

    I got the qoocam 8k and the lens is decentered or simply not aligned with the sensor or something. I get huge softness in the dead center oddly. The edge of one lens is amazingly sharp. I notice the soft areas really want to focus extremely close up, like 12 inches, but if you have a horizon, its very soft. I hope I can get an exchange that just has the lenses aligned right because this thing does shoot details sharper than the One X I have, but only on one edge of one lens. If I get one where the lenses are right, its a clear step up from the One X. Its exactly what I was afraid of - something you cannot fix with a firmware update.
