Love your video. We have visited O'ahu for 40 years and have only rented a car twice. We hate the traffic by car. The Bus for us, as seniors, has been a godsend. We pay $10 for our senior bus pass every 3 years and when we come into town we go to Ala Moana to the satellite city hall there (near Barnes & Noble) and pick up a monthly sticker for another $5. Since we usually only go once a year, that is a super good deal and I haven't looked into it for this year. I know all the prices are changing. But it is the best deal. You show your pass with it's sticker and that's it. No dealing with parking charges, rental car charges & traffic. No need to buy a transfer. We've been all over the Island many times & used to go snorkeling at Hanauma Bay on the bus every other day. We have met some wonderful people and whenever we are all on O'ahu at the same time we meet and remember why we liked them. One time, coming back from the Bishop Museum, we met the NZ boys who were on the canoe team with the Hawaiians for the Moloka'i Ho'i race (big deal in Hawaii). They looked scary. All were heavily tattooed but they turned out to be so friendly and they told us one of them was the nephew of the woman who's little house they used to film "Whale Rider" and they were all extras in the movie.
You will make friends on the Bus which you won't do in a rental car. The App sounds like I need to download it.

I have a medium size backpack that meets the size specs on their website but I'd prefer to bring my cabin sized hard case that is about the same size. Anyone know if I will have any probs taking a wheeled hard case on if's it a tiny cabin sized one - it just fits more than the backpack & I have a ton of photography gear & would like to actually bring some clothes too! Mahalo!

Is it easy to use to get from the Ala Moana Centre to the Dole Plantation?

It takes a while, but you can do it. On the other hand, why would you? Star girl's reply says it all. Dole and the like are examples of how the descendants of the missionaries came to do good and would up doing very very well. Lots of the problems Hawaii has stem from the descendants of missionaries and whalers and Dole, the Governor at one point, was a traitor. Read up on the history of Hawaii and take a tour through the Iolani Palace. You'll learn a lot.

Hi bro!!! Do you know if it’s allowed to get inside the bus with luggage?? It’s because I want to go from the airport to Waikiki 😅😅😅thanks bro keep that way 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🤘🏻

We always take the bus from airport to Waikiki and the return as well. BUT don't try to bring luggage. Carry-on is fine, stow it under your seat. No letting it hang out int the aisles or putting on this shelf-like thing at the front. With standard checked luggage, they WILL kick you off the bus.
