I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who wasn’t able to be there for the premiere. It was our full intention to release the film immediately following the livestream- however in our excitement we forgot to account for the possibility of it being flagged by TH-cam’s algorithm. Releasing the film on April Fools was a huge risk- but we knew after waiting a week thinking the film wouldn’t come out that refreshing the page to see it waiting for you to watch would be extremely rewarding. Unfortunately our plan got deflated a bit- we know you guys have waited a long time for this and we really hope our blunder hasn’t put a damper on your ability to enjoy the film. With all that said, BioCraft is finally here! We’re so happy to finally deliver on the promise we made so many years ago. So let’s stay united and join our Toa brothers and sister on yet another adventure to battle evil!
I wasn't able to watch the premiere for very long due to commitments and the fact that it was 5 AM in Western Australia, but I loved every minute of it. You've achieved something incredible, the likes of which the community has never seen.
The fact that the movie doesn't take itself completely seriously is honestly one of it's greatest strengths Also, it's obvious how much care went into this
This was definitely worth the waiting. It was such an honor and joy of seeing almost 300 fans come together from all over the world, laugh, enjoy, and maybe shed a tear, as our childhood heroes once again embarked on the iconic quest. Than you so much, TTV crew for making this possible. And thank you to the fellow fans who support them. I personally honor you. May Bionicle live on forever
That’s right. Bionicle may be irrelevant now, thanks in part due to Bionicle G2’s cancellation, and the fact that it’s an original LEGO theme, but it’s originality is what gave it a cult following.
This is incredible. The parody reaches peak dankness levels, and the craftsmanship of the island is impeccable. The opening tahu scene directly out of the Mata nui online game was so breathtakingly nostalgic. Truly a masterpiece
WHAT?? ... WH... JUST.... WHAT?!?! This is incredible. I remember being here when it was announced, my gosh it seems like years ago... Which is probably because is was. Damn. This was totally unexpected. And on April fool's day, too! Thank you, so so much, to everyone who put their heart and soul into this. Now I'm gonna sit back and thoroughly enjoy the fruit of your labour.
This... is incredible. Maybe not the all time greatest fan film... but there's a certain point where it's so good I don't care anymore. To see people who faced set backs, gone through the ups and downs of Bionicle's return and end, people who made a vision a reality... is truely incredible. Thank you. Thank you to every single person that made this movie possible, thank you to every person who spent days working on a video that would be given away for free simply for what it ment to all of us fans, thank you for not taking things too seriously yet putting the effort in anyway. Thank you.
Wow, I remember submitting voice work for this back in 2011!... Can’t believe it was finally finished. The retooling as a parody was a good touch. Congrats! :)
At long last, Biocraft: Chronicles actually happened, and it was amazing. You managed to tell both the Toa and Takua sides of the 2001 story but with a tongue-in-cheek Minecraft twist. There were tons of clever jokes and references to various things in the Bionicle community, including the history of this project itself, and I'm sure I didn't catch them all. And that false start during the premiere... for a moment I worried that the Roblox thing might be it... (speaking of which, I hope that bit gets reuploaded at some point) ...and then the screen went black. Was that it? Had we all been pranked? But I held out hope for a little longer, and sure enough, the film started up for real. And woah, it was great. Having seen several of the old teasers and related videos from the original attempt of the project, it was nice to see how you made use of several of the more recent Minecraft features like swimming and the off-hand, and also how certain scenes had changed from the original (Gali vs. Tarakava). I get the feeling that this was more tongue-in-cheek than the original attempt at the project, but I think that was probably a change for the better, and is fitting for a project that for so long has been the Half Life 3 of TTV. Speaking of which, I recall a supposed trailer for Biocraft from several years ago that was actually an official cancellation announcement. I haven't been able to find it since... does that still exist somewhere? Was it shown during Makutafest or was it a past April Fools' Day joke or something? It's even funnier now in hindsight since the project apparently got un-cancelled and actually completed. Biocraft: Chronicles is the greatest piece of Bionicle media that I've seen since Reviving Bionicle: Anonymous. A huge thanks to everyone involved with this project. As of right now, this was THE Bionicle event of 2019, and it will be hard for anything to top it.
The time travelling milwaka(I think that's what it's called) was my favorite. The way Matoro said "oh no. the time travelling milwaka." and then the"RUN!" was great.
It's been years waiting for this. I thought I'd lost hope on these projects you made and yet you never forget to finish this whole thing. I'm glad to see this whole thing. It was worth the wait.
Incredible work you guys! I only really became a Bionicle fan recently - watching Mask of Light and playing through MNOG only 6-7 months ago (quite coincidentally around the same time Hayley was getting into Bionicle xD) - because of you guys! It was your love and passion for the series that made me look further into it, and while I haven't seen everything yet, I can now truly appreciate the marvelling universe that Bionicle is. Although I am clearly not the target audience for this film, I still thoroughly enjoyed this. The shear effort put into this leaves me awestruck. I'm disappointed that's taken me this long to watch it... xD Great Job!
This was way better than I expected. Great work, guys. You had me laughing at jokes I simultaneously loved and hated the whole time. 11/10 Best isekai of 2019.
This is incredible. I laughed throughout the entire thing. Hearing the songs during the credits brought memories flooding back. I've been with Bionicle since the beginning when I was only 4. So thank you for making this masterpiece. This immediately got put on my favorites.
Omg, this looks great. I'm always tirelessly searching through search results trying to find new minecraft machinima movies to watch with hardly ever finding any. So it was a pleasant surprise to come across this one. And after skimming thru it was an even bigger surprise to see that the entire film was in shot in machinima and didn't immediately go back to first person, which I can't stand lol. Looks like u guys did a great job! Can't wait to give this a watch
Amazing work bringing a comedic spin to the already-compelling BIONICLE 2001 story; it's really cool how the story is told through Minecraft machinima too. I especially liked the musical throwbacks to BIONICLE-related themes and tracks. Well done!
who let ven use the turd in the wind line This was a lot of fun, 10/10 throwback. Even though you guys abridged some parts, especially with the Chronicler's Company characters (I mean, it's a huge story), you more than made up for it with the humor and those creative workarounds with the Kaita and stuff. And we all know what happens anyway. Great sound quality throughout, nice soundtrack, FANTASTIC credits - dude I can't wait for the Bohrok Saga in 2024.
Congratulations on finally releasing this. While it is too bad to have lost the side chat and the lyrics to Move Along, it doesn't hurt your achievement.
I'm amazed by how well done this was. Everything you'd expect to be ameteurish from a fan film was anything but. Not a single voice actor let it down, the jokes hit hard but weren't obnoxious. I loved it.
I love everything about this. It's a perfect fusion of Minecraft memes and LEGO's style of humor, with plenty of jokes that only a Bionicle fan will get. Don't even get me started on the level of attention to detail with the backgrounds. Holy crap they are good, especially if you're looking for things that you wouldn't see at a glance.
Y’know, a sequel for the Bohrok saga would be intriguing... perhaps not as mobs but as some sort of hermit tribe from the nether that literally terraform the over world into the nether wherever they go
Beautiful. Not what I was expecting but probably better because of it. This is proof that the bionicle community is still alive and sort of breathing. Thanks guys.
I had the same reaction. Up till now I was convinced that Bionicle fans were a dying breed. One of my favorite series of all time and I still take inspiration from it was a writer to this day.
This is indefinitely my new favorite short-film of all time. This is literally mixing my two favorite things of all time in a hilarious rendition of the Bionicle story. I wish the view count was in the millions
i dont know where to begin. this will be a long one so sorry for that. how can i put into words how this is for me as a fan. almost 8 years ago i found ttv while watching mine craft videos. found they liked lego as well. and began watching them loyally. i remember how it was when bio craft was hyped up the first time around. i remember when it was cancelled. all of this leading up to the week or so before hand. when this was teased and shown as a prank. and even as someone who was around from when this was early on announced. i found the joke funny. enough time had pasted. then i saw the twitter banners. and more images. and fort this was a big prank. then it came out. i have sadly been unable to watch until now due to my over amount of college work for my degree so having to wait another 10 days. knowing this thing was out. all it did was raise my expectations and when i finally was able to finish watching just now i can tell you they where more than met. and ive been looking forward for this for almost 8 years. i called out as the credits started to roll "BRAVO BRAVO, MAY YOU RECEIVE ALL THE OSCARS." to my dog looking at me like i was some mad man. where do i begin with what i loved about this. The map. this map is amazing. not to big but not to small. enough for it to feel like an island begin enough to support the 6 villages without being over crowded. i remember playing on this map on the game sessions you guys did. the tour one. then the free roam one. i remember meeting some friends i still have today on there. such as the amazing Wolksite who was lucky enough to be part of this amazing project. i remember setting up the ko koro community. when Kini Nui burnt bringing everyone in. and even in the dawn of the final day when meso came in to flatten like the moon from that one zelda game. it survived. being able to be part of the community past that. using this map and living on it and building it up. so to see it on this movie is amazing. whats next. the camera work. amazing. top notch some of the best ive seen in not just on you tube but in movies as well. some of the shots show how beautiful this game can be. very well done to those guys who did that. the script. how can you get a script that good from you tube jokes, an almost 20 year old theme. and internet jokes. and for it to work so well. it dosent seem possible but somehow you guys did it. the acting and voice work is what i want to touch on next. fantastic. from everyone involved. from the major parts to minor everyone brought there A game to this and did a fantastic job. the jokes. the dialog. the delivery. all of it made this world fill real. like a server you could join and jump right into the adventure. the work of everyone as an actor. to bring together an amazing movie. this is just. there are no words to describe how amazing this is.i love the jokes. getting in old ones of the time travelling muaka. and new ones like the murder of the takaura and his family. all of them had me from giggling to full on laughing out loud. so thank you to Eljay, Var, Ven, Meso, Kini, Plefhhiwe, tukma, tenebane avohkan, Leena, orion/rye, Muricat, serpyra, MGH, caz/ukadier,swert,justin, Potu, Dark takanuva, theMOCingbird, khrazix, magicninja, robert G, solipsist, starbreaker, underscorechronix, peelacar, Leo, my buddy Wolk, Whaddon, Spyaany, crunchbitenuva, xeros, pseudonym and shadow huntr. think that is everyone. is not sorry. i checked threw the credits. but you should be here to. you all did an amazing job on this. it may have taken 8 years but it was worth it. maybe another one at some point? in maybe 7 years this time so nuju can murder matoto? :P joking but yeah. this was amazing and everyone should be proud they where part of it. even if i dont get time to watch a video when it first comes out. i will always make sure to try and watch it. i look forward to watching the rest of the content im behind on. and just well done to everyone who did this project. you cant put into words how amazing this is just well done to everyone involved.
Finally got around to watching this 9 months later. That was a hell of a trip. I laughed, I cried, the Time Travelling Muaka made an appearance, everything was wonderful. And those establishing shots of each Koro really hammered home how much incredible effort you guys put into this. Well done, each and every one of you. Thanks for the memories.
This was better than I ever could have expected, better than if I'd known it wasn't going to be an April fools, even! It also gave me the weirdest nostalgia I've ever gotten from anything.
Amazing work ! Never heared about the project before, and I'm amazed by all the work you were able to do. Congrats !!! Really astonishing ! Love the map, the skins and designs. Good luck with everything !
This is honestly amazing, and it bums me out how niche this is, being that you really need to be a fan of both minecraft and bionicle to get the most out of it. But 12/10, would recommend in a heartbeat, thank you for making this 😁
Funny to think that this was in development for almost as long as Minecraft itself... Fantastic, really enjoyed this; the whole film has so much stand out personality as its own thing. It's also just so wonderfully colourful!
This video was actually pretty good. Not gonna lie. Exceeded all my expectations. Its well made, has excellent editing, cool voice cast, great soundtrack (especially the end credits) and is easily a great adaptation to the original material. Well done TTV. You've done it again.
That was incredible! I've been a long time Bionicle fan myself, so having read through the original quadriliogy of books that came out oh so long ago and just seeing how you interpretted it, molded it, and reshaped it... Holy crap it was a trip down memory lane. The additions of a bunch of remade themes from across the Bionicle franchise was awesome too! And finishing it with Hero? *mindblown* As a side note, you wouldn't happen to be making a sequel with the Bohrok, will you? I look forward to seeing more content! Great work!

the acting and voice work is what i want to touch on next. fantastic. from everyone involved. from the major parts to minor everyone brought there A game to this and did a fantastic job. the jokes. the dialog. the delivery. all of it made this world fill real. like a server you could join and jump right into the adventure. the work of everyone as an actor. to bring together an amazing movie. this is just. there are no words to describe how amazing this is.i love the jokes. getting in old ones of the time travelling muaka. and new ones like the murder of the takaura and his family. all of them had me from giggling to full on laughing out loud.
so thank you to Eljay, Var, Ven, Meso, Kini, Plefhhiwe, tukma, tenebane avohkan, Leena, orion/rye, Muricat, serpyra, MGH, caz/ukadier,swert,justin, Potu, Dark takanuva, theMOCingbird, khrazix, magicninja, robert G, solipsist, starbreaker, underscorechronix, peelacar, Leo, my buddy Wolk, Whaddon, Spyaany, crunchbitenuva, xeros, pseudonym and shadow huntr. think that is everyone. is not sorry. i checked threw the credits. but you should be here to. you all did an amazing job on this. it may have taken 8 years but it was worth it. maybe another one at some point? in maybe 7 years this time so nuju can murder matoto? :P joking but yeah. this was amazing and everyone should be proud they where part of it. even if i dont get time to watch a video when it first comes out. i will always make sure to try and watch it. i look forward to watching the rest of the content im behind on. and just well done to everyone who did this project. you cant put into words how amazing this is just well done to everyone involved.
This was truly beautiful. Non ironicaly.
all mobs were killed during the making of this film- nice! great job fellas
Having Vakama crouch to make him look short and crooked like his lego model is genius
Wowy! So amazed to see this entire Minecraft Bionicle film, beautifully made and all. Feel so excited, filled with nostalgia right now!
This made my heart happy. Thank you guys so much.
Whoever sings at the end is not to bad!
Awesome! GOD bless the whole team this was a plesant suprise and fun throwback
This is honestly amazing, and it bums me out how niche this is, being that you really need to be a fan of both minecraft and bionicle to get the most out of it. But 12/10, would recommend in a heartbeat, thank you for making this 😁
If they ever want to make a sequel they can explain Markuta coming back by him using a second account called Markuta Teridan.
We must support this film
"Do YoU kNoW tHe WaY tO rObLoX" "Get this nooooooob!"
Matau was the best part of the movie
BioCraft Chronicles masterpiece!
“That does it. I’m officially cutting love out of the story.” 🤣
The Bionicle theme from mask of light being played as a Minecraft song brought tears to my eyes
This was so cool! I'm finally getting into the Bionicle fandom and this was honestly so much fun to watch!
Man that last compilation of Bionicle songs got me really excited. Bravo TTV
THIS is so much better than what I was expecting! Thank you to everyone involved in this project!
I like the bonus scene at the end
That was incredible! I've been a long time Bionicle fan myself, so having read through the original quadriliogy of books that came out oh so long ago and just seeing how you interpretted it, molded it, and reshaped it... Holy crap it was a trip down memory lane. The additions of a bunch of remade themes from across the Bionicle franchise was awesome too! And finishing it with Hero? *mindblown* As a side note, you wouldn't happen to be making a sequel with the Bohrok, will you? I look forward to seeing more content! Great work!
36:34 the way kopaka shook his head XD
Aw no CGI Action Scenes by He who shall not be Named?
"descended from an active social life" three ergins instead of three virtues, you guys nailed the intro.
that all insane kids hero + instrumental move along ending is amazing!
Coming up next: Bionicle the Musical.
Back AGAIN to rewatch this masterpiece
It’s enough to make to make a grown man cry
This Video is awesome. I'm sure, i didn't see such an epic and funny minecraft video for years.
