    Best light testing on all of TH-cam. Glad you are putting out more tests lately. Very interesting to look at how the light spread evened out at the higher heights with the 1500 compared to the 1000.

      @steveletson6616 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LEDGardener sorry for delayed response. The 1500 evened out around 700 across the board. The smaller one around 400 once there was an even spread. I don't care about the numbers with a hot spot of 1000 in the middle. The numbers where the light is most even interest me. I am getting some light bleaching and am not near 1000. Appreciate the way you are testing. Its what I want to see and nobody else tests at multiple heights to this level of usefulness.

Would some sort of configuration of several of these lights be the best bang for my buck or should I just get two HLG Scorpion Diablos? Maybe I should be sticking with T5 bulbs instead of LED's... I just picked this up not too long ago . I was wondering, isn't there a break-in period for this? Should I like start at 50% and leave it for say how long? These are for some indoor plants that I'm growing. Obviously the plants have to get accustomed to this much power as well. So I'm starting off at 50%.

    Great reviews!! Just hoping for a sanity check. Oversized 2x4 tent (28x55) with 3 autos 4 weeks apart (3,7,11 weeks at harvest) so I’m thinking having dual lights at different dimmer settings ( rather than one bigger light) will be a good thing. And since one light will probably be at 50% most of the time, watts and heat will be comparable to a single 200w. Am i missing something?

    I'm struggling to find a grow light I can hang or mount in a very dark (in the fall/winter) living room corner for many houseplants. Solo grow light bulbs aren't large enough coverage area. Any suggestions? Hoping to have something that could be dimmed perhaps (2x2? do they make a 1x1 size?). Not really concerned about appearance but can't be sooo bright that we can't be in the room lol. Would welcome any suggestions to check out!

    Think the xs1500 will cut it in a 20"x36"? or just pay up for the xs2000's sweet 576 diodes and dim a bit? Either way its a high hang. I'm scared double light/drivers to fill the rectangle is just asking for heat issues.

    I just got the light and it seems to run so much hotter than my mars hydro ts1000. It's too hot to touch so I needed to put a fan on it. For some reason the clips are super long, so the light hangs 12" below the roof of the tent. I wish I got a second mars hydro instead.

    • @LEDGardener
      @LEDGardener  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I usually lean towards lights that you can move apart for this kind of situation. The center always ends up being a hot spot and if you can separate the 2 lights towards the edges, you can increase the uniformity of the coverage substantially. Mind you, the SP300 is 42" long so it fits the bill quite well, but I'd go with 2 smaller lights myself.
