I Just started a grow March 26th on a 2x4 with an XS1000 & XS2000 (Second time around). I'm growing Dwarf Eggplant and a Bell Pepper under the XS1000 and 6 Cucumbers under the XS2000. The XS2000 is blowing this cucumbers up in just two weeks they are already 2 feet tall with 1ft leafs. This lights are amazing, specially that XS2000. I'm documenting this grow and will most likely post it on my channel with in the next month or two for I'm certain ill be eating some by Day 45-50.

Would XS2000 work in 2x2 if running at 75%? I'm from EU and unfortunately XS1500 isn't available here, only 1000 and 2000 model.

Not everyone needs to grow with a maximum ppfd of 1000. Wish you raised the light so that the centre or highest reading was around 900 or even 850 and i bet all the ends and corners would have come up to the exceptable range at 500 in the 4 by 2 foot space.
I agree and this is what I tried to explain. However, for comparability it is important that we set the maximum PPFD to be the same across every fixture. It is not comparable when different fixtures are tested with different max PPFD.

Still doesn't allow the meanwell driver to be removed. Having the driver removable is a big plus so on hot summer days the heat of the driver can remain on the outside of the tent. Other brands have this feature. I own viparspectra lights. But desperately want the driver to be removable with a long power cord like the other brand.
I have a little fan running over the light for cooling, should increase lifespan also

Hello. I was wondering about something. I know white is more reflective than black, so when picking up new gear, fans dehumidifier etc, for my tent i try to get white... Does this make sense? Lol. Picked up a couple tower fans recently to replace a couple regular oscillating and had to unfortunately get black, white were sold out. I only bring this up because i would love to see the par test to see how it would effect the light next to it. Does the black absorb more of the light? Does the white reflect better? What if you cover the white in some foil tape, even better reflection? Or is the difference so negligible it doesnt matter? A par test would tell the answer correct?

Yeah. It will be fine. I had 1 in a 4×2, 2 plants with sea of green net . It worked good. I ended up buying a 2nd xs2000 and its doing even better. 3 plants in a 3×3 would do just fine imo. 2 would do even better.
I have a couple XS series lights and I love them. The performance for price is insane. Decent warranty for a budget light too. Thanks for the good data

I’d love to see you do the vipar spectra p2000 to compare that with this. It’s the series before this cheaper and also claims for a 4x2 space. Good vids.
All these tests of these lights I see use a black floor and very minimal wall reflective material. Would highly reflective mylar material on the walls and floor make a difference.. I think it would correct me if I'm wrong. I think this light could push a 4×4 with 2 maybe 3 plants with highly reflective mylar on all sides an floor. Thoughts?
The black floor absorbs photons much as the plants in a grow would. I use reflective walls, which are very important for measuring light in a simulated grow space. In my tests the XS series does a little better - but they are close and I think it comes down to cost.

I just rewatched your xs1500 video. It really made me wish they had a xs3000 that would actually fit in a 2x4 tent. Would you suggest using 2 xs1500 lights instead 1 xs2000 for a 2x4 grow space?

I have a 2023 xs 2000 and an xs 1500 in a 2x4 tent haven’t set it up yet but on the 2023 model they have daisy chain function to link them together and they remapped the diodes put 3x as many around the edges to bring it up more. They’re definitely still improving them. I think I got enough with the 2000 and the 1500 together.

I don't know what's going on currently I watch your vids there great, but my viparspectra XS 2000 is performing so poorly in a 21 inch by 3 x 5 2 W Widow autos Day 39 just started showing sex two days ago. Just under 4 months ago October 1st to be exact Iran one W Widow from the same pack of 5 under the viparspectra p1500 and it blew my mind because I had never seen live flower or rather a plant that had flowered so to watch it pack on weight was incredible. Finished off with 82g 1 auto.
This time under the viparspectra X S2000 again same batch they are performing so poorly or keep them going lots of sites horrible looking growth I just don't know what the problem is very disappointed in the viparspectra xs based on the first run I thought this would be double no question instead it's the exact opposite seeing absolutely nothing🤔😔 thanks for the insightful reviews

I got 2 VipraSpectra 2500's, each w a 250w draw, and 2 Maxisun mf2000's from Amazon this mornin,ea w a 230w draw. They are both very similar in performance. But mf2000 was 139 and Viper spec2500 was 179. Of what I see here I would go with the cheaper 1 and save 40-50 bucks
runs at 32degrees centigrade on full power! 20 less than previous! This is a literally a "cool" light.
Lol it clearly states raise it to 20 inch for flower and 25 inch for veg maybe you should go off the instructions??? At right night they have more uniform distribution

these lights suck, i have mars fc 4800 and my son bought these. My plants are 3 to 4 times bigger than his. Save your money and get a better light!!!!!!
your light got double the power then his, off course the plants under the 480W light are 4 times bigger

dr mj coco, i joined your site and was explainging why id like to grow and asking questions in CHat room while just getting rude responses from like the 5 people in there, with so much informatiojn i was sorry i just wanted to talk to an expert grower because im on disability and cant get wrong equipment and was hoping for someone to point me in the riight direction telling me what i need for a good efficent set up and what to get and brands ect, and they all said im a spammer(just saying that cause they have ther own little 5 person click at 3 in the morning) yup hes arobot, and reported me as spam so i cant purchase anything from your site or access certain things, i was told i could email the administrator , which said there is no adminsstrator but i could get plenty of help from people in the chat rooms or fourms... which i cant register an account for using this computer because well, i was asking to speak to an expert and they just bullied and trolled me basicly and reported me as spam, if you could help me with this issue/flaw with the website please let me know.
