Hi Lee, thank you for your Video and this great tip.
First I have to update from the E-M1 III to the OM1 II to implement your tip.
I have one question: What is your experience with the 14bit High Res function of the OM1 II? Are the results visibly better?
    Greetings from Germany Alex

How do you change the EV if you've reassigned the button? We have detection assigned to a front button, and the lens function button. Definitely need to be able to change EV in manual mode.

Great tip, I have mine set to the AEL button on the back and also have the lever set to single focus point when switching it to 2, But question why not auto ISO? As if a bird is flying by a shadow area auto ISO will adjust to compensate but if your not in Auto ISO will be underexposed.

Thanks for this video, Lee! I've been doing this, but I use the AEL button on the Function Lever for Subject Detection -- just a quick flick of the thumb from the AF - On button.
I've been struggling a bit, though, on my exposure triangle settings. I'm used to using the front and rear dials for aperture and shutter, then the ISO button and front dial for the ISO. I find that it's kind of clunky -- a third dial for ISO would be nice. I've been thinking, for my birds Custom setting, to put the shutter and ISO on the front/rear dials and set the aperture via the Exp. Comp button. I almost always have the lens set wide open when shooting birds so that would be changed less frequently than shutter/ISO. I'm curious about how you have this set up.
    Thanks again -- great channel!

Why are you turning off object detection for multipe birds? You can use a lock funktion to select a bird using a rotary wheel and it will be focused and tracked. But this doesn`t work too well if the beind locked is too fast. For exposure compensation I used the fn button on the lens. Then the left hand simply has to do somthing.
