      @@risvichatterji7198 i would say the gn2 video here is a lot better than quite a bit of dslr and mirrorless. Close to maybe sony a7s fx6 panasonic gh5s, of course those monsters crush it in night videos and 5axis prowess at night. The gap is definitely close. Really impressed with the gn2 colours. Not the biggest sensor size we have seen. Same size here as pureview808 slightly smaller than panasonic cm1.
      You can still see the stabilisation wobble in the railings above the girls running across the street at the 4 minute mark, especially on a big screen, still majestic the whole video, feels like being there, that's how i remembered shanghai to look. A little bit more contrast than real but a lot less than other phones. And comparing to the ultrawide sony imx sensor, those colours looks more like what other phones put out.

    Coupled with a hand held stabilizer I think the camera system on this phone is going to be a beast! Will this replace DSLRs and Mirrorless? I think it will slowly eat into the entry level DSLR and mirrorless camera categories. I was considering getting a BMD Pocket cinema camera, but the thought of carrying the lenses, batteries, racks and tripod for a shoot makes me seriously consider getting this instead. I still believe that the image and video quality of mobile phone cameras will eventually surpass DSLRs and Mirrorless in the near future. Oh one more thing, the recent OnePlus 9 Pro camera system is quite disappointing compared to this.

    • @Arbiteralbion
      @Arbiteralbion 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will definitively replace mirrorless, especialy micro 4/3 but it's still not for everyone.
      For very good all-day photos and some artistics it's the best device you can get.
      But there is a lot of situations where you can't take photos like with a real camera. Smartphone are not good enough to truly show what you want to express in a photo, that's the big difference.
      Still I would love to see the comparison with a mirrorless camera, like a good APS-C.
      Dxomark did an article early 2020 to compare some phones (including mate 30 pro) vs lumix S1R (A really good full frame mirrorless)
      The results from phones was good, but with this one it would be even closer.

    • @thewalkingvloggingman7152
      @thewalkingvloggingman7152 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This will NEVER replace mirrorless cameras, NEVER. My Panasonic MFT Gh5 Mark II would kill this phone or any other phone for that matter. We are talking about a camera that shoots 6k 30 Anamorphic, 4k60 420 10 bit, 4k30 422 10 bit internally with unlimited recording. The best Ibis in ANY camera. The best color science straight out of the camera. Child please.

    • @e.rvanrood7373
      @e.rvanrood7373 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@Rymdkakor nothing in this world is purely objective. We each measure objectivity based on our understanding of what is or isn't genuine. I prefer this channel because the reviewer's words and visuals relate to me and how I would use the device. If you listen closely to other top reviewers they always hop from product to product saying it's their favourite and that is really cringe content. Try watching a product launch, then watch reviewers after, you might pick up of very specific paid material. I don't know if this channel is guilty of doing the same, however I don't get the same cringe feeling as I do with other reviewers. Xiaomify as a brand started of reviewing unknown Xiaomi products and I really miss his niche catalogue reviews. The channel name has nothing to do with the quality of review...but don't take me word for it. It's ok if this channel/content isn't for you.

    • @PTYC933
      @PTYC933 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sure puts the pressure on bigger dedicated cams. These phone cams are fast.
      Big cams will evolve as well, sony is doing really well, still no way to match a7s, good bit rate, good lenses, there's also anamorpic, real tilt shift, real swirly background blur, great off camera flash support, insane dual iso performance, clean at iso 12800.
      Of course no denying hard to match 30x or 50x for sony, those lenses are just priced so high or not available and super heavy not to mention difficult to use, no guide frame like these phones using the main sensor as guide, some use laser scope optical mount just to see where they are pointing at, and now the phone cams, does really good distortion free ultrawide, and macro as well, another tough sell for mirrorless. I still prefer my panasonic, tilting screen, good enough 5axis, super light good portrait lens.

    • @weeliano
      @weeliano 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@PTYC933 Of course good professional cameras will still exist for feature films and high value productions. For sheer convenience, these phone cams just takes the cake. When I go on shoots, I hate lugging all the extra equipment around and having to change my lenses for specific shots. If my phone camera can do all that, I'll take that option. The differences in image quality between the professional cameras and mobile phone cameras are just going to narrow over time. In fact if you ask the normal consumer, they will be hard pressed to tell the difference and besides a lot of media and content are consumed on mobile devices these days. Soon the visual quality differences will be indistinguishable.

    • @PTYC933
      @PTYC933 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@weeliano definitely, I told my friend a few years ago, phone cameras will be very good, my friend insist there is no substitute to good class, swears by manual focus f1.2 glass, really good optics, insane dreamy background blur, great micro contrast. Now not carrying that lens so often.
      I still depend on a very basic less than 100g 90mm f1.8 portrait lens, I shoot babies and they move so fast, also have to match the hz of some fluorescent lights at times, shooting from low babies angle with correct perspective lines, tilt screen makes sense for me.
