    “International” space station
*Proceeds to ban countries with powerful space technology*
It kinda sucks how political the program designed for everyone, favours particular people. Especially considering it wouldn’t have been possible with their (the countries they banned) help.

*chinese dwayne Johnson eyebrow raise* wym bro? China was banned in 2011 before its space program was proven in the sense it had Sky Palace constructed. I think most of it though is that China has been caught stealing or trying to hack space technology from the JPL, Penn State’s labs, etc. and that pissed off an already hostile Congress to China. Back in 2011 though Chinas space tech was not “powerful” vis a vis the US and it still isn’t.
Don’t get angry, I’m not saying it isn’t powerful now or that it could be, just the facts in 2011. Not every country is an ISS partner anyway. And China can now offer its own station as an alternative. Plus who knows, the possibility of US China space cooperation and ISS exchange is not impossible. It can still happen-the ban even has a stipulation for it-just like how the Soviets and US cooperated in an unlikely feat.
But playing the victim and woe is me and resenting the other side is never going to make it happen…

US think that cooperate with russia will make china compete with the US so they'll have a reason to get a funding for space
but now russia is going to leave ISS and built their own station
let's see if ISS can keep up to both russian station and Tiangong

While the program looks like a waste of taxpayer fund, but this 'sword' prevents nuclear blackmail by other major powers upon China.
In fact, this program also encouraged more UN member state to vote for PRC in Resolution 2758.

@@alantan9863 I will never use "waste of taxpayer fund" to describe a nuclear program. Any nuclear program of small countries only have one purpose: to protect their sovereignty and their independence from foreign power.
