Fely like a test film where they tried out some ideas for characters, animation, designs, etc. that could be used in future projects. They expect audience reactions to guide them. The only real saving face was I caught a 3D print, which was pretty cool, but doesn't make a whole movie. To add salt into the wound, three weeks later "The Boy And The Heron" arrived on screen, and now it looked like something Disney put out to try to take some steam away from this Ghibli film. There was even some items that almost looked like some designing borrowed from other Ghibli films. The two studios are in a bit of a competition with each other, you know.

I think the biggest problem that leaves the show offputting is the moral lesson tried to push. And what the queen did to the king

What moral lesson would you say they were trying to push? I am interested to know your thoughts! 😊

@@MsScreenCritic Well. I can't completely say their intentions. But the moral lesson i got that was problematic. One I think they said the king was comepletely wrong but it never dealt with the issue"Be careful what you wish for:
      2. Asha was supposedly in the right but she hasn't actually done better than him or learned a lesson he was supposed to.
Lastly, the queen abandon her husband and mocked him. This creates a belief when someone you care falls you dont want to help them up.
Now i dont think its super bad. And i acknowledge the supposed lesson Asha wanted people to pursue their own dream. But most people dreams were mind of juvenile and ignores the belief you don't get what you want but what you need.
Additionally, her as the new dream wish grantor undermines the idea pursue your own dreams

Ah, that's really interesting! I definitely found it weird the Queen really quickly adandons her husband. Maybe the film wasn't supposed to be seen as really deep, but as adults watching this, we can notice the flaws? Thank you for your insights! Very interesting 😊

To be fair, I consider Home on the Range, Chicken Little, and The Wild to be worse Disney films than Wish. I won't call this movie as "bad" like the nay-sayers and the critics, but I feel like the story was rushed and felt like it wasn't sure of what it wants to be. Add in the fact that it faced executive meddling that they have to change some neat concepts, but what we got is a decent film. It could've been better, but it's everything that I could wish for in spite of its flaws.

Every film will have it's issues but this one got sooo much hate! I felt there was alot of potential with the villain tbh. But yeah, it definitely could have been better but really wasn't that bad.
