Just watched it. Did Amy a really big disservice especially when the AMY documentary basically celebrated her as well as told the truth. This biopic could've followed the documentary's lead

A fan pressed charges against Amy for pushing her, so that happened. She was just so sick of being famous and no privacy and people crossing her boundaries all the time. Anyone her position would’ve done the same, or worse. After reading her best friend’s book about Amy, I really fell in love with her, I loved her before, but I related to her… I felt her pain, her disappointment, frustration, anger, etc. she is validated. I don’t believe the drugs and alcohol were the stand alone culprits for her death. She would still be here if it weren’t for her ED. She would’ve pulled through, but the bulimia she had since she was young school girl, broke her body down and she couldn’t take it. I never got to see her in concert :( 😢

I wish producers and writers would re-watch Selena and understand why that biopic was so iconic and successful. These biopics these days seem so rushed and careless. I certainly agree with the rating of 6.5/10.

I for one loved the movie, especially the two actors that were playing Amy and Blake. They nailed it! They did a very good job with portraying them. I really did enjoy the movie. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending that should’ve shown her real videos of her and at the end the family going to the funeral you know the funeral procession and I would have loved to see Blakes face and reaction when he found out that she was dead that was something that they should’ve put in the movie too and they didn’t but other than that it was good movie. I enjoyed it as a matter fact I wanna go and see it again and bring a friend of mine to watch it with me too.

I get it. It was a 10/10 movie, but still it could’ve been bigger and better because it seemed a bit too rushed to be honest.

as a very casual fan of her music with limited knowledge of the details of her life, i loved the movie and was choked up through quite a bit of it. glad i knew so little in advance so i could just enjoy it as a movie without being annoyed by inaccuracies or anything. from that point of view i can put it as one of the better biopics i've seen

The actress was way too regular and pretty looking. Amy had a distinctive look which affected her life experience. This movie seemed like Amy's life through a male perspective. Very male centric and male centered when the focus should've been on her and how she became the amy winehouse.

They definitely sanitized Blake in this film.

I'm sorry but I can't get behind the actress playing her, absolutely not looking a thing like her. The film industry is a huge nepo party so I'm not surprised, but like come on. She just does not look like her at all. Amy was this very thin, lanky, brunette beauty with green eyes, black hair, and a very long face with very sharp lines and a strong stare, she was very beautiful and deep. The actress playing her is beautiful, but looks nothing like her, like at all. It annoys me because of all the dozens of actors there are...

This movie was actually really good ! The actress did amazing.

Saw it today …I thought it was pretty good and the actress did a fine job in her role. Never was fan of her but I can see now why she was so much different , which kinda set her apart from the rest. Almost in the same vein of view as Freddy Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Acting and production were excellent! Amazing job and best artist tribute movie I have seen. Really gave an insight to Amy’s struggles with Blake and what Back to BlCk was all about. Now I understand the song and her music much better.

I disagree with you, the movie is full of her music. Also, as to real life, they did show Blake introduce her to hard drugs. They acknowledge her smoking weed, but he brought in the coke and heroin.

I’ve haven’t seen the movie yet. However, they should’ve put the real Amy Winehouse at the end of the biopic instead of text. I’ve been a huge fan of hers since her first album. I was born in 2002. Her death was tragic but she had a beautiful heart and personality. Amy would have been honored that Marisa Abela played her but this isn’t how her story happened. Amy’s story is very tragic and I’m so heartbroken that she didn’t get the chance to escape her alcoholism. But Amy is such an iconic person forever and always.

Nope dont really agree, Amy would not have liked it. Thefilm was disrespectful. The biopic was categorized into three parts, to get to her live 4 live preformance ‘s . The press are hugely responsible for hounding her and for making her life miserable. Tabloid abuse is ignored. Not represented in film. Film is disrespectful, Abela’s voice isnt good when she sings, her accent is heavy overdone when she talks, also please look up Directors history and past films.
