- Found a sweet deal on OfferUp, a complete front end for my 1996 Ford F-150. Only needed the bumper and fender but was sold as a set. In this video i paint the fender in order to install it on my truck.
Nice demo, really liking these videos!
EubanksFit Thanks for the support. Something specific you would like to see? I have a bunch of plans for this truck but, don’t know where to start sometimes lol.
Cheap tools & materials represent the single biggest mistake DIYers make when approaching these types of projects. Remember tools are NOT an expense ~ they are an investment that you make in order to achieve superior results. They can then be sold for 80-90% of their value once the job is done and in the end it will cost less than renting. These 2 budget HVLP Systems are the best hold their value: 1st choice: Fuji 2202 Semi-PRO 2 (2203 gravity version) & 2nd choice: Earlex HV5500.
John Grimsley this video is not about “quality tools” it was to see how a rostoleum rattle can spray job would look. I have a sharpe and devilbis guns. I don’t paint much so I’m not any good, so I thought I would try using rattle cans. I’m also not painting every weekend so I don’t need any more “quality” guns.
Love the sound of the birds in the background.
Mike James Lol. I have to find a better place to film
Eraser wheel for the 2 sided tape and pin stripes. Comes off quick
Damn bro you got an excellent deal on that front end. I'm a new subscriber to your channel .... your paintjob came out nice looks even and shiny with no tiger stripes. Shout out to you from Guadalajara Jalisco México.
Thanks for the support and yes it was a great deal. I waited several months until this offer came up. As for the paint job, I tried.lol y puro Jalisco!
ICS Ivan how is the paint holding up
Brother I’m this came out real good. I’m in the process of deciding how to paint my truck I just picked up. I’m leaning towards the Rustoleum turbo can in white. I would love black but I think it might be harder to paint in that colorb
I have an 88 F150 I need to paint, so always trolling for tips 😀.
I think you did a darn good job. Looks smooth and glossy. Factory finish to me. Hope it lasts a long time.
Second Looks For Men So far it’s holding up, but I can tell it’s a different white when I’m up close. I’m planing on doing the whole truck soon. Stay tuned!
It's hard to match an old color. I hope you are happy with it. I'm sure it looks much better than it was! Good luck and thanks for sharing your expertise! John
Liked and subscribed , i would like to see what u do next.
willy snatch More coming soon, I’ve just been so busy, but I promise I’ll get in it as ASAP. Thanks again.
Nice work not judging but just wanna say if you would use a 2k clear on it it would have been very smooth n mirror like finish.they sell a 2k clear in a can but there like 20 bucks a can.dont get me wrong it still came out nice.
Jose Hernandez Oh I know, that’s why I sprayed my bumper with the 2k. It’s in my other video. It’s not a mirror finish, you would need to wet sand and polish for that, but it is way better than cheap 1k.
Turned out nice 👍
Rustoleum semi gloss for first/base coat ?
Go Pad’s 👍
Tim Heasman Thank you, yes go padres! Lol
Funny enough doing same on mine!
How did it turn out?
Got it from otay?
Jeremy Keith The front end?
ICS Ivan yes, front bumper from otay Mesa? If so, is there a lot of OBS parts there?
Oh, no I didn’t get it from the junkyard, I bought it off a guy online. Much better deal.
PERFECT VIDEO ON WHAT NOT TO DO SMH.... TAKE YOUR EMBLEMS OFF PEOPLE THIS IS LAZYNESS
It’s not a show car or trophy truck, calm down. We’re not painting the Mona Lisa it’s just an old pick up. SMH
