There's a plugin that chops samples called Regroover Pro. But I like the idea of having more control over the samples in EXS24. Not to mention, this is free. Thanks for the video.

This is going to sound stupid but does it make sense to take a loop and a) edit it and b) add the odd extra note to it using a midi keyboard....and then combine the two.
You don't need to be buying expensive loops & Samples, Esp for Dance genres Like House/Techno or more urban styles like Trap, etc. Another great Vid Josh saved to my TH-cam account. Thank you. I do wonder when Apple will update EXS24 & Ultrabeat though?
Ultrabeat would be a beast if it just pitched and named samples on the channel strips/regions automatically. Would make workflow a lot smoother. A graphical UI update would be nice as well. That thing is ugly.
After converting to sampler I get a very nice midi track just like in the video. I can play the sampler track with the keyboard in Logic's Piano Roll screen but not my midi instrument(Roland FP-10). I replay the video a few times and I don't what what the problem is. Any thoughts?

Nice! But now that the ESX24 has been removed from Logic, would this by any chance apply to either Sampler, Quick Sampler or another instance?
This will work the same for Sampler. In fact Sampler is essentially just an updated version of the exs24. It even uses exs instruments still.

Have you tried changing the octaves on the midi? Maybe that is to obvious a suggestion. I hope you figured it out man.
