    Man, thats really powerful as it allows a lot of the persceptive changes to be made after the fact with one slider. Rather than saying "That guitar needs more body", diving into EQ settings and disappearing up your own proverbial and wasting time, you now can just tweak one setting and it sounds like they got the maths pretty good unde the bonnet too. Great video and thanks! :D

    I had no idea ... how did I miss this feature addition? Thank you so much for revealing this powerful capability of Logic. It will replace a bunch of complicated routing for me.

    I appreciate this. I had no idea this could be done with 3rd party plug-ins. You just leveled me up. I'm forever a student of the game. Thanks again...

    Wow. Thanks for pointing this out. Simplified my workflow. I used to have 2 channel EQs in the chain, now that's not necessary. Really great tip!!!

    Great stuff, always dude. Although I've known about this for some time, you re-opened my eyes to the potential in the process.

    Nice. I had been using a complicated series of buses to achieve a similar reverb effect. This method will simplify the routing tremendously.

    Excellent tips, thanks! I've never used mid-side processing but I intend to now; used judiciously, it looks to be a very powerful tool.

    Wow what an eye opener man.. Yesterday I got PA's Black box HG2 for $39,99 - voucher = $19,99. of course i did look at the newer M/S version of the HG2, now on sale for $129,99 so i quickly forgot about that. i NEVER realised i could run the 'old' stereo HG2 in M/S mode in Logic: I JUST DID: thanks (OK, HG-2MS has TMT and some other updates..)

    and if dual mono is not supported, deactivate output, route send to 2 busses 0dB then put a gain in dual mono on both, set mid to -Infinity gain on one bus and side on the other. You can then do serial bus based mid/side processing with multiple plugins in a row

    Powerful brother...was that reverb and insert of effects return?

    • @MusicTechHelpGuy
      @MusicTechHelpGuy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I put it right on the channel for the example, but you could still use this on an Aux channel too. Just keep the dry signal all the way down in both the M and S channels, and then use the wet sliders to balance the amount of each reverb type.

    Is there a way to bypass the the mid & side separately to hear a comparison?

    • @MusicTechHelpGuy
      @MusicTechHelpGuy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the smaller window where you select Stereo vs. Mid Side, there's bypass buttons for the mid and side channels -- although this only bypasses the effect, it doesn't mute the channel.

      There's a free plugin called bx_solo made by Plugin Alliance that will let you mute/solo mid and side in Logic
