Top tips from someone who has done a lot of bikes: Philips head screws and bolts on Japanese bikes are all JIS, so make sure to get a JIS screwdriver, not Philips #2 or pozidrive. 2nd: Get a screwdriver with a full shank and metal end to hammer on. Best to use a small brass deadblow. Tapping on screws before and during turning will get them loose every time. 3rd: Use a non-lubing anti sieze on steel screws that go into aluminum. A good cheap one is Milk of Magnesia laxative, unflavored, available at most drug stores. It forms a chalky coating around the threads and is actually certified by the Airforce for fasteners on jet engines. Also always use 6-point sockets, never 12.
I have an 02. Having starting issues myself. Definitely interested in seeing how you go about fixing things with the fuel. If fuel issues doesn't fix it, try getting to the starter. Great job filming this rebuild so far.
Hey, am in the middle of stripping the bike engine is out :O needs studs drilled out they snapped of inside the engine - have a look at my shorts if you are interested.
About to do this to investigate a fault that killed the bike and left me stranded. I think it is a spark plug blowing out the head but fingers crossed it’s not as fatal as that.
hey man, thanks for this vid, has been super helpful I saw you said to number the ignition coils - is that important? I'm thinking of replacing one of the coils, just wondering if there's anything with the order (e.g. numbering) that affects it
What do you think I should fix next in order to get the bike to start?
I love how straight forward and simple this was, thank you.
Einstein said it takes genius to make the complex simple.
I'm currently doing the exact same thing with the exact same bike 2001 Cbr F4i, sept mine is red. I'll keep watching ya videos for tips. Cheers 🙂 👌
That’s awesome! Where along the process are you at?
I have no idea what you should do next, but I'm enjoying these vids. Pls keep em coming!

The important thing is just to make sure they got in the same slot they came out
