    I started this project with the idea of doing a valve clearance check. I purchased this in Summer of 2021 with 46,000 miles on it.

    Dude thank you so much! My ex coworker knocked my bike over in our work parking lot and ruined it. Without this video, I never would've gotten my 2002 Honda CBR apart to find the issue. I really can't thank you enough! Keep doing watcha doing because even if you don't know what you're doing it's still helping people like me sooooooo much!❤❤

    Air filter was upside down, that is why it didn’t fit properly, it even says “this side up” on the side you had downward.
    Thank you for the video. 🤘🤘

      @@Moturd Do you think you will be doing a video of the foot control unit removal and replacement? I'm getting the whole control lever on both sides powder coated and want to make sure It's possible for me to take it off and replace it without completely destroying my bike, or doing something dangerous.

    Just removed the throttle body on my 954. Remove the screws like he does, then there is a rubber seal that you need to CAREFULLY pry open with a crowbar (that what i used).

    Yoyoyo...... you put in a manual cam chain tensioner in that yet? They are known to fail on Honda bikes, many others for that matter. And I hear it's a you know what to change it out unlike it's brother the CBR600rr.

    • @Moturd
      @Moturd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I did change to a manual chain tensioner. Maybe I'll do a video on it because it's really not hard if you take off the air box and that takes an extra 15 minutes.

    Hey, thanks for this video, it's very informative. But I'm curious, what do you mean by wrong plastics in the beginning? They are not factory?

    • @Moturd
      @Moturd  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thanks for watching! So in all the time I've had the bike, I've never gotten a definitive answer. It's for sure an F4i but the plastics say F Sport. I've never seen a bike called the F Sport so I'm not sure if these were knockoffs or perhaps it was called the F sport in other markets. I'm honestly not sure.

    • @Sophist990
      @Sophist990 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These are not the proper decal but are the same Plastics. The proper f4i Has CBR600 F4i on the frame and rear seat plastics. My profile is my bike with the F4i decals. People also Like the REPSOL plastic for this model.

    good find, I had the exact same bike. that thing will run dam near forever. only issue is that they are notorious for 2nd gear pop out and to split the crankcase the head has to come off to gain access to a bolt. vacuum ports going to the map sensors tend to clog causing the bike to run really rich. drilling them out with a 1/16 drill bit took care of that. i sold mine a year ago and now I have an 08 CBR1000RR

    Is there any footage of you putting it back together? specifically putting the air intake back on because I cannot put the air intake tubes back in and I am wondering if there is a trick to it or if I just need to brute force it. Someone help me plase

    • @Sophist990

      Brute force they are very difficult to get all the way into the lip but once you get it there it will lock right in. I bought my 02 and ran a maintenance check on it and one of mine was not fully seated nearly tore my thumb up from having to struggle so hard.
