I’ve flushed/refilled an F2 before and was wondering if you could do it on the f4i without taking the whole front cowl/air intake apart. Gonna buy a hose to get to the radiator cap opening. This video helped a lot, thanks!
thanks dude, someone was going to charge me like $250 to do this and I had to buy the Engine Ice myself. What does your temp normally read in stop/go traffic with engine ice?
great work man! i have a cbr 900 rr and to empty de reserve tank i have to put out the rear shock absorver, but ... why not a pumping bomb !!! great idea and i have one. That way i can pump the antifreeze :))
Hi, Sorry to Bother you... Nice Looking Bike... What year is your CBR600F4I... Im looking at getting a 2001... Any Major Problems... How about any Tips..
+Ivan Olvera I would check your owners manual or even double check some honda forums, but I believe it is roughly 3 quarts. I used a little less then that honestly when I did the f4i but I'm sure you get my meaning.
I would get 2-3 gallons so you can flush it out and fill it up a couple of times to really clean out the old fluid. this is an old vid I'm glad it still helps I need to make an updated one lol
Thanks. I did it yesterday. I got two gallons of distilled vinegar and two gallons of distilled water. Flushed it three times and still had almost a gallon left. Helped clean up some of the mess though. Did the oil change too.
I have heard a lot of people say that you can use auto coolant in a motorcycle, as long as it doesn't contain phosphates, silicates, and is suitable for an aluminum radiator. The reason that this appeals to me is that in the US, auto coolant is 1/4 the price of motorcycle coolant. I don't want to spend $16 as opposed to $4 every time I change coolant. What do you think?
Thanks for the video. An updated version would be superb!

Very detailed and informative. I will be doing this over the weekend. Thanks again
Dashawn Ransome no problem, it's old I should update the bbn info on the video but I'm glad it helps.
superb video. I have the same bike and am just about to change oil coolant and brake fluid before winter. This will definitely help.
Cracking video, thanks buddy!

Why f4i drip oil after replacing da water pump
Great video! What was that pump thing called that u used to extract the water from the reservoir?
it is actually a hand pump for fuel, you can get them from auto zone or advance auto parts store.
how do you know when you need to change the coolant
+mrmee1229 when your bike went beyond 200 degree just at stop light
how many quarts of engine ice? did you use

Thank you my friend. i plan to use evans motorcycle coolant
What coolant do i buy??
I prefer engine ice honestly. Most bike shops sell it, I get mine from Cycle Gear
Good video bro. But when filling it up with coolant won’t their be water still In their? I’m afraid of that :(
Where do you check the coolant level
For Mines it's behind the reserve tank on the bottom of the wall facing the exhaust.
hey man arnt you suppose to get rid of the coolant in the coolant tank? howd you get that out?
Take it off and dump it or siphon it out if you have to. I just take my tank off and dump it out.
How much distilled water should I get for one f4i ?
