Great video just came across you. I'm checking out which route I should go. I just landed a job with my dream hospital🎉 here in Georgia. The job opened the door for me. And I am so grateful🙏🏽. I will be working in the women center💕 doing environment service🌻. Which the pay was very surprising😊. I have done home health aide and keep trying to get my CNA...but life happens and cause me to have to relocate back home. However, when I was looking for jobs as a HHA so I could take classes for CNA the pay was horrible😮. BUT My dream hospital has a CNA program however, they got something going on right now and they have not opened the classes. Also with the hospital after a year I can get help for school reimbursement🤗😁 SOoooo!! am just trying to think 🤔 should I just gone ahead and prep myself for LPN. I believe that I make more than a CNA make as EVS. I passed the clinical in another state to become a CNA. And miss it by one point the written portion...That was in Florida you can challenge the exam in FL. But GA you have to take a class. So I'm just checking thing out. And I am one of your seasoned mama (50ish) but feel 30ish🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ Thanks girlfriend.

Hey Justine! I just got my CNA and I am debating whether to go into an LVN program or work as a CNA while studying the prerequisites. Unfortunately, I don't have a good support system. I have to work in order to survive. Some co-workers tell me, why don't you go right into an RN program. They say hospitals are not hiring LVNs. In my mind, I see the RN route too long and I don't want to keep waiting to start making a decent living. What do you suggest. You are of great inspiration by the way!

First off, thank you so much 😊 and second, I say go with your gut and your heart! Don’t let anyone get in your head because it will really make you doubt yourself. If you have to work and you can go into an LVN program still do it! If that’s where you can get in and get out quicker you can always go back later for that RN when you are in a better place. It’s really up to you! I wish you the best! 👍🏽😷 you got this!

I would say definitely go with whatever seems right for you. It might be wise to start with lpn first if setting a good foundation for yourself financially is what you’re looking for. 2-2 1/2 years is a long time to work and go to school while struggling to get enough hours at work and be able to go to school and study. Also, the lpn route is less expensive.

I’m making 32.50 as an LPN (no agency, new nurse) a lot of people say I should have take the RN route by as a person who needs to make needs met. It worked for me. And they do hire in hospitals. Everyone don't pay loans for school. In GA LPN is a "free tuition" program so the state pays it all . That's only for community colleges, private colleges are about 12 to 15k of fed loans, which, when you think about it, is not super expensive. You can pay that off in a year or two.
