I haven't watched this one before, but boy oh boy it's a wonder you are still alive, I thought you were going to be the first man in space without a rocket :)), anyone watching this DO NOT COPY THIS METHOD, you know there are places that will tie your tubes to prevent babies, your method may work but painful.
In theory, the method works great, just cut the ready rods about 2 inches longer. I will say it was a very hard thing for me to do. Scratch the coating off the brand new XJ Series drilled and slotted rotors. I could've sworn I had another front rotor kicking around. Just couldn't find it. Hmmm... the long of the short is, I'd already done the other 3 this way, so I was pretty confident I wasn't going to get shot off into orbit. It made for a good video though. haha.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Fingers, manly bits, I let my determination lead me past the point of common sense. I'm just glad it's done. Again? only if I'm broke like I was when I bought the shocks.
Using old rotors for the spring compressor is an inspired approach and with 2" (each) longer ready rod a really good solution. Did you use the "Rube Goldberg" commercial compressor to assemble the other 3 shock/spring units?
@@JagMods Ah, I get it. This was my first viewing of your videos. So I get it, there's entertainment value included with the information presentation. Back in '73 we didn't have any old rotors so we built our own compressor which still serves me well and will again this week. But your home brewed method is excellent.
Thank you for your kind words. I try to make the videos somewhat entertaining. It's a dry topic so I do what I can. I lost my 21 year old son last May. he was my best friend, and my camera man. He laughed so hard tears were coming out of his eyes when I did this video. I've finally gotten to the point, I can look at the IRS with out crying. so there will be more videos to come. It's just not the same with out him.
@@JagMods Sorry to hear of your heartbreaking loss of your son and best friend. I get how that kills your enthusiasm for this activity. Thank you for sharing it's a help to me as I took my '65 E-Jag rear end apart, cleaned it, and painted it more than 45 years ago and recently ( late 2018) unpacked it and am working to finally putting in the car I planned on 50 years ago! So again, thank you for sharing the information - it's quite helpful to me.
First off, thank you for reaching out to me. It truly means a lot. Seven months ago, yesterday (23rd of May 2020) a week after this video was released. I was working on my next video' waiting for my Son to show up for our weekly Pizza, Movie & Ice cream date (for the lack of a better word). My phone was in the house on counter charging. Wondering where he was I went in to check to see if he'd messaged or called me. There was a video message from him Stating that by the time I got this message he'd be gone... Gone where? (I'm thinking) Oh My God! Tracked the location of his phone only to find the location swarming with police & an odd white van. A week before his 22nd birthday, my Son, best friend, took his life. I can't help but think If I had my phone with me, or I hadn't been in the garage shooting my next video, I may have been able to prevent his death. This is a cross that I will have to bear for the rest of my life. I haven't done anything with my Jag stuff since his death. Every time I went out to start another video, I re-live that horrible day. About a month ago I started seeing a grief counselor; which has really helped me get on with my life. As much as I want the world to stop to give me time to process my loss - it won't. I'm going to try to get a video out in the next week or two. I'm not sure if it will be the video that I was filming on that fateful day, but I will get another video out. Again thank you so much for reaching out to me; it means so much; I can't find the words to express my gratitude Sincerely, Mark (@jagmods)
@@anderssundqvist6669 I'm currently putting together an outline of my next video. Sounds like you've been bitten by the Jag bug too. I've got too many. What year is your Series II is it a 6 or a 12? is it a short wheel base (74) or an "L"?
Hello again, i, ve got a - 74 brg xj6, a - 77 xj6 n - 83 xj6 series 3 which need some laying on of hands, fuelinjection problems n i think gearbox running heavy probably from towing.... Welcome back when you, re ready
Thank you for sharing. It's comments like yours that keep me from throwing in the towel for that I'm grateful. Thank you! Last year was horribly rough on me. While I was working on the next video in the series, I missed a message from my Son. It was a "By the time you get this message I will be gone... I love you Dad" message. Minutes later, he took his own life. By the time got the message, I figured out where he was, and got to him. I was 20 minutes too late. That was May 2020. To say I'm devastated would be a tremendous understatement. As a parent, I can't help but feel responsible. If only... I wasn't working on my Jags (videos). If only... my phone wasn't in the house charging... If only... I had my phone with me, If only... he would still be a live today. These Only Ifs... have been an unsurmountable burden to carry. My Grandmother said, "time heals all wounds." I'm not so sure that is accurate, I feel like "time makes wounds bearable either that or numb". 2020 wasn't done with me yet. All within weeks of one another, I lost my favorite Uncle of to cancer; both of our family pets passed away in my arms on the way to the vet, and a dear childhood friend & co-worker died of a heart attack in his sleep. Fast forward to this week. I'm finally at a point where I can look at the footage and proceed with editing without reliving that horrible day. I am actively working on my next video. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment Cheers! Mark
This is yet the best Jaguar yoga video I have ever seen in my life 😂. Nicely done

Things were a little out of sequence. I used longer threaded rod. The video was the first one.

Is this music by the shadows?
Thank you for taking the time to comment on the video, The audio track is by Silent Partner.
You do not say anything about coils springs ?
Are they original ?

I miss your videos, where are you
