Mexican here, at least in México s NOT opressed, it was on the news like a week, in 2010 a week new about cartels where only high capos being killed or arrested
government didn't wanted to encourage resistance from the populace, as in some parts self-protecting groups began to emerge and later they developed into new cartels, also cartels don't wanted the population to get armed and responsive to their attacks, so, cartels ruled over the government and their interest get aligned.
One hell of a man, when he enters Valhalla he'll have one hell of an honor guard, gracias a don Alejo, mucho gusto en conocerlo. Vaya con Dios y en paz descansen. 😢💔
Thank you so much for doing this video. Don Alejo was a man of character and morals. A native of Nuevo León which sits next to Tamaulipas. He bought his dream ranch and no one was going to take it away from him without a fight. He didn’t tell anyone what he was planning on doing and didn’t ask for any help. He showed us what a real man doesn’t when it’s time to put up or shut up. Stand on your feet and fight! The rest of the state of Tamaulipas could learn much from him.
Prime example of guns being taken away from the populace won’t stop criminals. Yet Don Alejo Showed those brutes that the people of Mexico are strong. Descanse en paz Don Alejo fue un hombre fuerte. Vaya Con Dios.
Mexican here, the bigger issue is that authorities won't combat them. Back then the military did, which was scandalous, and many of us criticized their very limited efficiency even as they toppled some of the established cartels into fragmentation. But the current government, that is striving to cater to narcos and end democracy, has strict orders not to engage due to their "hugs, not bullets" policy on the surface and more importantly, to their evident and blatant pro-narco stances consistent throughout AMLO's mandate. Now that Sheinbaum won the election and they're rushing to end the Judiciary power so they can alter the Constitution, you'll see the cartels become significantly more powerful, and begin to swallow much of the Mexican territory that even today is safe from the effects of the cartels' presence.
That is not a "masculine urge", but rather protecting yourself, your family and your community. Look at the Kurdish Women who fought DAESH in Iraq if you don't get it...
This man is a fucking hero. He did what very few will ever do. I salute this fallen warrior for his bravery and insane courage to stand tall against such a threat. Woah. I was hoping to hear that he survived, but going out without being captured is commendable. I'm surprised that he even went toe-to-toe with them; cause I would have guessed that he'd position himself across the huge property and pick them apart.
He knew he would die by making a stand against the Cartel, the reason for sending his men to safety... However, he also knew that he had to make a stand against the Cartel even though it would cost him his life...

Im so glad you made this one. It’s crazy how this story has been oppressed by the media/organized crime because cartels don’t really take peoples properties. Organized crime and cartels are not the same thing. This story should be everywhere because this really happened and Don Alejo was a real old school MAN
Mexican here, at least in México s NOT opressed, it was on the news like a week, in 2010 a week new about cartels where only high capos being killed or arrested
government didn't wanted to encourage resistance from the populace, as in some parts self-protecting groups began to emerge and later they developed into new cartels, also cartels don't wanted the population to get armed and responsive to their attacks, so, cartels ruled over the government and their interest get aligned.
One hell of a man, when he enters Valhalla he'll have one hell of an honor guard, gracias a don Alejo, mucho gusto en conocerlo. Vaya con Dios y en paz descansen. 😢💔
My dad told me this story back when I was in middle school and never could find information about it. Great video, and thanks for covering this

"Either you hand out your ranch or we come take it in 24 hours"
"Come take it."
Don Alejo is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will…..
Prime example of guns being taken away from the populace won’t stop criminals. Yet Don Alejo Showed those brutes that the people of Mexico are strong. Descanse en paz Don Alejo fue un hombre fuerte. Vaya Con Dios.
People of Mexico are NOT "strong". That's why Mexico is the way it is.
