    Hands down microtech every day of the week. The Infidel is way over priced. And I’ll never get over how much wiggle is in the blade.

    I love my Infidel but there is no doubt it's overpriced, especially with D2.

    I just ordered the Benchmade 3300 infidel. My first purchase of a “ high end” knife. I am very new to knifes. I don’t really know anything about blade materials.. I’ve gone over several reviews and a couple videos. Before even making a purchase. Plus I like the way it looks. This is my first OTF knife and Benchmade was said to be equal with micro tech …
    I do want to get my hands on a micro tech delta or trapoon

    Great review of two knives I am looking at. The blade edge, wobble, metal type, actuator details and more were very informative. I got the black/satin/apocalyptic MT Dirac Delta and can't wait.
    Handle contour, screw design and layout, blade sharpening, blade steel, action, knife status in product lineup (Entry vs premier of brand) made the decision quite easy so Thanks!

    Micro tech way nicer.
    Benchmade has those slots under the button.

    Benchmade is really overpriced for the blade steel

    • @Sweetknives

      True, but the customer service is really good, and so is the lifesharp, and lifetime warranty. I also believe they make stuff a little better than most.

    I have the regular dirac, i bet that infidel would be easy to sharpen with that grind though.

    I like both of them however, the Benchmade rattles like a old Nash rambler my grandpa had. It’s the only thing that turns me off. I sold mine on the secondary market and lost $200 as well so I don’t think that they keep up on the retail side. I love my Microtech and I haven’t considered getting rid of it yet. I may trade up if I have an opportunity. I’m looking for a scare of two.

  • @Sams911
    @Sams911 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'd say they're both about equal ... I don't see any real difference in quality between either.

    • @eric_in_florida
      @eric_in_florida ปีที่แล้ว

      The Microtech no doubt has better blade steel. Otherwise I think it comes down to what you like in terms of looks and operation.

  • @45proteinconsumer
    @45proteinconsumer ปีที่แล้ว

    what about the sharpness on both?? like which one is better at keeping an edge or which is sharper right out of the box?

  • @theprepperrevelator
    @theprepperrevelator 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So I just ordered the Benchmade from Blade HQ and it has upgraded blade steel to S30V and I think that makes it a better value. I already have a MicroTech and it’s a fabulous knife and probably would have got Dirac Delta but you can’t find them anywhere in stock. I think the MicroTech might be a little better quality built knife with more attention to detail but I like the aesthetics of the body shape of the Benchmade better.

      New Deltas have been trickling in for several weeks now. I just received mine, (08/2022 on the clip). It’s built SO well., and they used M390 for the blades in this production run.
      Ya should’ve waited a little longer. 😉

  • @edwinsmith7936
    @edwinsmith7936 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would go with Microtech because of the blade steel. With the cost being fairly similar It would boil down to that. And I believe the warranty side of things is almost the same on both ends.

  • @AudibleVisibIe

    D2 for that kind of money is wack

  • @jerrydonquixote5927
    @jerrydonquixote5927 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I kind of like the blade shape a little better on the Microtech but I like to handle better on the Infidel, I put mine on the stone a little bit my Infidel I don't want to do a lot to it it didn't seem to touch up like I like him to be sharp it's called a chisel grind but it's usually it's not beveled on one side it's flat so I think I'm going to send mine to Jarad on Neaves knives when he gets caught up and see if he can get it where I like it. Anyway good review and just so you know all the other night channels especially the smaller ones we can tell they they unsubscribe our friends to us, so if you have knife channels that you like, know that you need to resubscribe every now and then because TH-cam is taking them away the subscriptions it's a dirty thing to do, but they're doing it just to let everybody know. Heads up okay thanks a lot take care!

      ok how bout this infidel vs halo.....im sorry the halo mk 123456 is the gold standard....infidel is supposed to be Benchmades totl otf knife...all opinion tho I was in the army I wanted an infidel so bad....but then I learned about microtech

  • @rolandgeorges960
    @rolandgeorges960 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Delta is a big step above the Infidel; if you live somewhere on the rustbelt or any salty coast D2 is going to rust, M390/ 204p / 20CV are super steels and stainless holding an edge way longer than D2, cosmetics are in the eye of the beholder.

  • @0311nwe

    I owned a microtech I believe it was a ultra (could be wrong) but it was fine for about a week then it went downhill quick. My infidel is still going at 5 plus years of pure abuse use.
