First one...warranty. Second one...new knife. You send me a new one, I'll send you back this one. Warranty, QC, whatever you call it and whatever it is, companies need to stand behind their products. Especially a company like Microtech...one of the number one most thought of names in automatic knives.
My dirac delta did the exact same thing!! I've got a huge microtech collection. All 38 were took out of the box and looked at then put right back in the box.
I can’t stand people who purchase knives just to look at, and out away in a drawer.
😂wow the same exact thing and both times on a live and on an recording 😂😂at least they can’t say you did something wrong. We literally saw you open it up and failed. 😮
I'm genuinely surprised! Last year, the spring in my Combat Troodon Hellhound signature series broke. I sent it in for repair, and the only problem I encountered was a brief delay in its return to me because they accidentally sent it over to the custom department instead of returning it directly to me. The delay was only a few days, and they sent me a T-shirt to apologize!
I'm at a loss for words about what's happening in this case!🤔

So next time… get yourself some Remington Oil, White Lithium Grease. Put The white lithium grease on the spring NOT VERY MUCH SPREAD IT WITH A TOOTH PICK.
Even just sitting in a drawer for months Dust gets inside.

Same thing happened to me sent it in for cleaning and came back falling a part!
I was quoted 6-8 weeks turn around
I’m dealing with the same problem. Brand new UTX just opened it up and not retracting. Sad we have to pay to ship the knife back and then wait I’m told this will take 8-10 weeks. I guess since they work with China now they are making them. At least buying the knock offs from wish we will get our moneys worth and not get ripped off by @microtech for subpar craftsmanship.

This is why my first OTF will be a guardian tactical recon series! The only microtech I’ll get is the msi and manual stitch if I even get them. That kinda depends on if they are $250 like they advertised! This brand is super over hyped and that makes no sense. Maybe I’ll get a clone that’ll last longer lmao!

I recently bought a troodon signature carbonfiber low serial knife first fire out the box failed lol i love the look of the knife but for the price the knofe feels like a pos compared too my kershaw livewire

Wow, I was thinking of buying my first premium OTF and was looking at a Dirac but I just watched this video and changed my mind. What ever happened? Did it get fixed again or a new knife?
seems like this can happen with any of them. I had a benchmade fail right out of the box. 6 tries and it failed.
every microtech I ever had misfired way too much! my cheap $30 lightning has never misfired on me yet. microtech isn't so-called gold standard everyone claims they are.
Wow. My slider button fell off my brand new dirac. So sad that a good company is struggling to fill orders by cutting QC corners!

Honestly, I ran into issue with their knive and after 6 weeks, I got no response to inquiry email. I just bought a Chinese knockoff to replace that. Guess what? The quality is literally same if not better than the authentic MT for 1/10 cost. I am done with MT
Maybe you can ship it to them as is to emphasize the issue. That service just sucks. Unacceptable for the price of their knives.

Yea i did a update in a live stream. I got it back much quicker the 2nd time and they fixed the issue.
Thats garbage. They definitley should cover shipping back for that failure.
I bought a Microtech and was not very impressed for the price. Imo overpriced and overhyped.
That's very unfortunate but not too surprising to me... Microtech fanboys always try to depict it as a company that performs perfect warranty and tend to have a very high tolerance on the play and qc of the knifes. But the truth is that it's just like any other knife companies in the world claiming to have the "best warranty" yet make mistakes regularly. Not saying that other companies are better, just pointing out that they are certainly not perfect.
Try to fix it yourself. I'm sure you can do better. Hey, knice $400 knife to open a box 😅
