You must be in a great market. My 98% went down when I started receiving 5+ orders a day for like $3.50 for 8 plus miles. I went down to a 51% and stuck at 71% trying to balance the low paying high mileage offers.
@@DoorDashingDad that’s a perfect way of describing it. I actually decided to try to get my acceptance rate up because I was barely getting any orders at a low AR. I noticed an increase in the volume of orders when I got a higher acceptance rate but once I got to 44% they started bombarding me with no tip orders and it brought it down by 20%. Interestingly enough I was seeing a high volume of orders at a lower AR now so I guess I’ll stick to cherry picking with a 20-25% AR🤷🏾♂️
@Speedgamer2015 if you watch my other videos you will see I’ve almost entirely changed to Uber….however in my market they rolling out AR so I’m sure it’s going to turn into the DoorDash system
It has not hit here yet and does not hit here until 15 August but my wife and I are both set up to be platinum when it does. We have both been top dasher for over a year.
Ahh you’re really far though. That’s crazy your requirements are so strict. I thought maybe if I worked Chicago it would be more strict. I wonder how DoorDash chooses. In suburb in Chicago.
@@DoorDashingDad I think the requirement is 80% here because it’s a lower income area so there are more no tip orders that need to be delivered. I go to school here but my parents live in the north suburbs of Chicago and when I was home over the summer I was platinum and did REALLY well. Unfortunately though with an 80% requirement it just isn’t worth it.
You're in a great market. It takes me 7 hours to make that kinda money as a Platinum Dasher due to the oversaturation of illegal immigrants in my market.
What's your acceptance? 70%? I was talking with a friend and i firmly believe Platinum really doesn't mean anything it's just all relative to all the other dashers in your area and what their acceptance rate is compared to yours. Completely skeptical opinion.
@@makemoneygrow8526 Not bad! In all honesty, I go back and forth saying Plat is worth it and not worth it. I think you have to multi-app and have 1-app be the "Main chick" and then all the others be "Side chicks" if that make sense LOL
@@DoorDashingDad so on avg you take 3 of 4 and decline 1. Of the 3 you do take are you taking some that are bad offers just to keep your AR up? Or are they mostly good offers at platinum?
@MIK41510 I 100% take what I consider bad orders at times to stay above 70% I take anything that’s less than 2 miles (May be less or more depending on traffic of your specific area.) just to keep my AR up
Hey Dad. I'd like to talk to you about the dash acceptance rate. I built an app to crack the gig apps algorithm and I'd like to show you the app. Do you have time to talk about it? I know you will like the app. Thank you so much.
Question,i quit doordash after doing it for about 4 years since the new programs. Can you make $200 minimum a day now? Full time? Or is it only if your lucky enough I know many had quit like me.
Ah, welcome to the Platinum Hunger Games! 😂 You’ve gotta dodge those ‘$2 for 10 miles’ orders like they're booby traps! 🏃♂️💨 It’s a wild ride, but hey, at least we’re earning shiny badges for it! 🏅🗑️
Where is your market? I’m a platinum tier in Philadelphia and being platinum here is necessary cause it’s oversatutated. Looks like you’re going some really good orders.
I'm the farthest west you can almost go of Chicago. There are other random pocket towns, if that makes sense but yeah. If i go closer into Chicago it gets really saturated with doordashers and i do see a way bigger benefit for when the market is saturated to be Platinum.
I do about 4 deliveries a hour (not a plat dasher) so in that 3 hour i would have done 12 deliveries. Making about $25 a hour on average so i would have barely made $75 if i was lucky. Now if i dash for 3hr take a break and go again i might get lucky
@@DoorDashingDad the most ive done is 4 a hour usually 3. Im in Austin the market is alright just a lot of crap orders $3 for 10miles crap. Ill do $1 per mile thats lowest i can go
I don't know why Door Dash says not to use self checkout for Meijer orders as we definitely can. I went to a regular cashier only once & had a long wait. I asked the cashier if she knows why we have to use regular checkout and she said we don't, Dashers use self checkout all the time. That was the 1 & only time I went to a cashier and have being using the self checkout for a few years now. You should also, it saves sooo much time and we know, time is $.
Wow really? And I’ve been a sucker all this time going in the long lines, waiting for grandmas to pull out the checkbook?! Thanks for the awesome tip! I’m 100% trying it next shop n deliver
I would like to royally thank you! I saved so much time yesterday!!! I had about 4 meijer shop and delivers and I used self checkout for all of them. Massive time saver!
@DoorDashingDad Awesome! Glad I could help. That's why the online gig community is so cool as we can learn tips and tricks from each other. It's not like a traditional job where we see co-workers every day to help each other out. 😃
Last night I did a full 12 hours and hit 100% acceptance rate. It was a rollercoaster, i'll have that video out in about 2-weeks. I felt like I wasn't even Platinum for a while. My take, if your area is not massively busy, it doesn't matter.
@@DoorDashingDad yeah, I guess it depends on the days as well. From last Thursday- Saturday it was busy all day. I did get my biggest tips/ orders ever once becoming platinum though.
@@100liege I was on the phone with my friend and I was like....it's okay Doordash is going to trick me and say it was higher than expected. I felt like shit after that order was completed LOL!!!!
Platinum and one order a day? Sounds like you're the VIP of just enough! Keep stacking those orders, one delivery at a time - gotta stay humble while shining, right? 😎
Oversaturated market. My numbers are tops, but don't see high$, catering or first pick. I was doing 3 catering a week at least prior to this new system. Frustrating
Sounds like we’re all stuck in the DoorDash Olympics, but someone swapped out my gold medal for a participation trophy! 🏅😅 Catering used to be my jam too, now it’s like I’m waiting for VIP service in the back of the line. Hang in there-we’ll crack this secret menu again! 🍽️🚗💨
Only 5 hours? You must be working the VIP shifts! 😆 I might need to trade my car keys for a golden spatula at this rate! Keep grinding-maybe one day we’ll both have our own ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’ awards! 😂💪

7 for 5 is decline but 8 for 5 I’ll accept
When it comes to “acceptance boosters” that’s honestly not horrendous, not good, but isn’t lesser than a dollar a mile
