Our final clip for this tribute season of The Doris Day Show is a montage outtake from season 5 in 1972. This particular clip is from the 'fall' season montage outtake footage, and shows Doris Day at her fashion show best.
Much like That Girl with Marlo Thomas, or Mary Tyler Moore on her show, fashion statements were often made, sometime perhaps by accident, but made nevertheless on these shows. Women's clothing fashions were changing at a high pace in the 1960s and 1970s, and shows like That Girl, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Doris Day Show made an impact, as they were seen each week by millions of people.
