Hi, i love your vids, i saw that BTT realised v2 of the E3 mini, do you think its worth getting it over the v1. 2?
And yes senseless homing as well is needed for my build like yours with the tension at 120,128. It’s a super clean build and I want to get printing tpu on this machine ASAP

Love you Videos, so glad I subscribed !, I have a question, if I could, I upgraded to a BIGTREETECH SKR .14 Turbo and TFT50 V3.0, and installed Marlin 2.06, My issue is Both Marlin Display , Or Bigtreetech display show NO BED icon, so will not heat of course, Triple cheked the wiring, Any Ideas ?.... Keep up the great work this is the only video on TH-cam for this printer and build so if you update to the latest and greatest on the new marlin I’m sure it would do great. I do want mesh bed leveling as well and zoffset I use it on my sovol sv01 and understand on how to use it

I have some very weird things going on with my TFT35-e3 v3.0. I have the SKR 1.4 Turbo and I've gotten some very mixed results with my display.
After hooking it up as directed in your video, I only get beeping of varying loudness and sometimes I get display but with no touch or knob feedback. 1 time I got touch working with the display looking clean but that only lasted a few seconds and the display died again. I wonder if I just got a bad apple. It worked fine when I first bought it with my SKR-e3-DIP 1.1 but apparently it is no longer compatible with that board.
Good video. I want to use reprap on my SKR 1.4 which means using the Exp ports for the wifi board. So I can just use the TFT connections to use my TFT35 screen for PanelDue? Thanks.

many thx, your videos helped me a lot!! one more thing - you mention you´ve managed to get octoprint running with changes on serial ports and some "jumper wires" :-). i think it would be extremele helpful and appreciated, if you made a (even short) video about that. i myself couldn´t find anything and without octoprint functioning it´s near to nothing for me (and most probably some others too)
ps: solved - just disable "request exclusive usb" in octoprint - finish. 🙂

I have printers with both touchscreens and the simple encoder type on the Ender 3, and I prefer the one on the Ender 3.
I guess it is because of the simplicity of the display, the command titles are in a list format which makes it easier to see what you want, maybe if the touchscreen was in a vertical format with the commands in a list I would get on with touchscreens.

And last but not least, is it compatible to a silenced board for the ender 3 pro V4.2.7 ?
That depends on the stepper drivers you buy for it. By default, no drivers included but you can get any driver you like. For example TMC2208, TMC2209, TMC2225, etc. That will determine what features you get and if they are silent.
About compatiblity of the TFT35 to the 4.2.7. there is no serial port to connect to so it's not going to work in touch mode.
I use the cr10 display setting in marlin that way you only need 2 cables the serial and the single 10 pin cable from the ender 3. I tried to set it up your way on my skr 1.4 turbo but it just refused to work? Bigtree tech stuff dose some very flaky things at times what works for some people dose not always work for others. The weird stuf I had go on with my BLtouch ,it like its posesed from it not working after flashing a new firmware to reflashing the exact same new firmware it works again?
the TFT cable where does that plug into in the TFT35 lcd screen? does it plug in via SWD or RS232?
Hi thanks for the video, I used the tft35 v3 on my Ender 3 and added the skr mini e3 1.2 at the same time my question is why the second ribbon cable? I used exp1 and rs232 and everything worked, do I need the exp2 cable also? Thanks
The SKR mini e3 uses one ribbon cable only, that is correct. Two cables are only needed for SKR 1.3 and 1.4.
@@Crosslink3D When I plug in both cables, it does not work on my SKR1.4 and TFT 3.5, It only works with the Rs232 and EXP3? Am I missing something?
Hello good fellow looking for help my printer will operate on the marlin side but when I go to the touchscreen side all it shows no printer connected and will not go away i changed baudrate that didn't help even tried a second LCD no good I'm trying to hook this up to a BTT v1.4 turbo any ideas what version of marlin are you running also do you have a usb cable connected while you are doing this
Daniel- Can you show how I would enable a life-time hour-meter? I've seen this in some older version of TH3D, but most firmware doesnt allow for this. I have multiple printers that I know I've worked them for 1000's of hours, and I would like to start keeping maintance records of how long parts are lasting...

I had the persistent 'no printer attached' message. Compiled my firmware for the board and screen again, flashed both, still that error message. I watched your vid and you mentioned the error at 6:20. I checked and indeed it was at a different speed then my board. Weird cause I compiled it with the same speed in the firmware. Ah well, long story short, I got rid of my error message. Thanks.

I have that display and new SKR 2 and cannot seem to get the baud rate right for one. was going to recompile marlin and I can't get that to work either. I think I will go back to the reprap display or something, ready to take a hammer to the whole works.... or better yet set it up at a couple hundred yard for target practice. was even trying to get the BTT mini display to work. (the one that gets defined as neopixel....) any advice or help would be great.
If you're getting a black screen, make sure the Marlin screen resolution is set to 128x64 instead of 20x4 (Go to Settings, Screen, Marlin mode, Marlin mode type)
After doing that, change background color to something else (red color, for instance). Now if you go to the Marlin simulation mode, it should work. Change back to black background color if you please.
Servus Daniel ... is it possible to install this version in an Ender 3 pro? does it make sense to take a SKR 1.4 or is the SKR Mini E3 V2.0 sufficient?... Thanks and greetings from Franken

I am trying to implement the M600 command on my Ender 3 pro with marlin 1.1.6 installed and which already has a boot loader. I followed a video showing how to do this by going into the Advance_pause_feature in configuration_adv.h and then the configuration file. When I tried to compile it in arduino ide I received this error message..."Error compiling for board sanguino 1284P boards". I know nothing about Arduino so I am stumped and am not quite sure what to do now. My friend helped me the first time when we flashed the boot loader but isn't available because of the Covid 19 "Plandemic". Do you have any suggestions what I should do now? They would be gratefully accepted. Sorry if I'm off topic.

So, I'm trying to set up a DIY IDEX machine using a BTT Octopus V1.0 and the TFT35. I have things working pretty well in marlin mode, but the touch screen mode does not show a 2nd extruder. I went into firmware and changed the hotend and extruder counts to 2 but that does not seem to do anything.
Is it possible and if so where to buy a longer cable (approx. 1 meter) to go between the TFT35 display & SKR V1.3 control board, the black one shown in all the pictures with the 5-pin Dupont connector on one end and 5-pin JST connector on the other?

Hi , I have an older display,2004A-V1.0, and I am trying to install it on SKR 3 . It doesn’t power on at all . Do you have any. Video that shows how to configure it ?
so what are tour serial port setting as this has to be chnaged to use tft screen
also, I can't get the TFT35 E3 firmware to install. I know the cables are inserted correctly. And I have tried different Baud rates. I just get No Printer Attached or as stated below I get a constant BEEP if I use the REPRAP_DISCOUNT.... display type.
when I enable the #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER, I get a BEEPing from my Octopus Pro 429 mainboard. is there a different controller type that I would use?
Perhaps a little overkill for a simple Anet A8 which is all I have. But I must say the hardware - board and TFT - doesn't set you back much.
But as for the A8 , its relatively flimsy print bed support,...maybe not worth the trouble. I have lived with its shortcomings and made countless practical prints.
So now it is time to bite the bullet and finally buy the Ender 3. I feel so behind the curve now :-)

Have a question for you out of this topic. I have the skr1.4 turbo with tmc2209 and a proximity probe. I cannot seem to get the probe to work
I have tried everything in change wire diagram and nothing it is always on open with led lit up. And when i touch metal it still stay open and not triggered
inductive sensor? did you follow chris riley's tutorial? and check to make sure your pins are correct.

I have one of these displays, when it's in touch screen mode I can print from usb or sd without a problem, but when it's in Marlin mode I can't print from usb or sd. Any ideas?
I'm having a problem on the 1.4 turbo, its not working in 12864 mode. It stays in simulator.
Can't they code rotary encoder to use rs232 i really would not like to connect those tft cables, but still wan't to use marlin interface sometimes.

I have Ender 3 and SKR MINI E3 V1.2 + TFT35-E3 V3.0 . The problem is there is a message on the screen : "No printer attached" . I have setting in Marlin configuration: 107 #define SERIAL_PORT -1; #define BAUDRATE 115200; 1993 #define CR10_STOCKDISPLAY. And where is the problem?

Thanks for the video, I now have a few hairs left!
I just could not get the LCD to display when connected to an SKR1.4Turbo board which I'm setting up for my Enders 3 Pro.
Graphics mode worked fine.
Both modes worked fine if I connected the TFT3.5 to the Melzi board (running under Bugfix-1.1.x) using the Exp 3 socket.
So I knew at that point the there was nothing wrong with the display.
However, no joy when connected to the SKR board.
But after viewing your video I was able to make the following changes to the Configuration.h file (in Bugfix-2.0.x):-
Uncomment //#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER (About line 1995)
Comment out #define CR10_STOCKDISPLAY (About line 2081)
Everything then works just as it should. So thanks again.

hi , how to TFT35 v2.0 , 3 extruder to screen
HI there, i have an Issue, Board MKS_Gen_1.4 with Bigtreetech tft70_v3 , Display says "no printer attached" and in the "Info" System: Unknow system"
I switched the "tx & rx" Cable so now they matches with the Board and Display.
Baudrate is the same.
The Problem is, i cant set any serial port on "minus"
PlatformIO writes an error that "i cant set it on minus"
It says: pasting "USART" and " -" does not give a valid preprocessing token.
I dont know why im the only one who has this problem, everywhere i read that people set it on minus and it works.
But I cant.
Please help me

Been there ... Had to find an old sd card I think 4 gig that was formatted fat32 and boom all was right again.... Originally tried with a 64 gig... I think thumb drives work also
As @edward sharp mentioned, it could be the SD card formatting but there is also a chance that the bootloader is broken. Did you try to flash a new bootloader in any case?

I've been told this board won't work in a stock Ender 3 by one person and another person told me it will work. As far as I know they're still arguing over it, so I thought I'd ask someone who knows the correct answer. Will this board work on the Ender 3 with no modifications or extra hardware? Sorry I elaborated a little. I enjoyed your video and I have to wonder why the board isn't fitted as standard, The one it comes with isn't the best.

i gave command G35 or G29. Its result disappeared very soon in terminal screen. How can I keep this result.

Not without soldering. The stock Mainboard has rx and tx pins but they are not connected so you will have to modify the PCB: github.com/luc-github/ESP3D/wiki/Creality-CR-10-Ender-3

I’ve been following you’re tutorials for the last 2 days and I’m completely stuck, I have a Ender 3 and I’ve brought a SKR 1.4 and a TFT35 and nothing works, Marlin mode on the screen stays blank and touch screen sort of works but it permanently says “printer not attached” I’ve been on VS Code and did everything you said to do but when I put the SD card in nothing happens and when I choose SD card on on the TFT35 it just freezes on “Loading” I don’t no what to do next I’ve been ALL over the internet and no one has a solution or tutorial about fixing it, I download Marlin 2.0 and bug fix version from GitHub I’ve compiled it in VS Code with modifications like you said then I press the tick it takes around 20 minutes to compile and when it’s done it’s on the SD I then put the SD in and again nothing happens so I then pressed the arrow in VS Code which is suppose to send it straight to the board but when that’s complete it’s the same as before Marlin screen mode doesn’t work the touch screen mode does work but it’s not picking up the printer and I’ve even mucked around with the UART speed which I’ve heard and in Marlin mode I’ve moved the dial around and still nothing, The 3 fans are working which are connected to the board and cura picks up the printer but I can’t control the printer in cura cause when I press auto home or up or something nothing happens, PLEASE someone give me a quick fix cause I have literally spend the best part of 21 hours going through everyone’s TH-cam videos and I’m just going round I circles.....

This is not documentated by BTT and no tutorial i have watched explains this.

I can change the build volume and bltouch location in vscode I just need the correct build that you did in your am8. Like I said same skr board, steppers, and this screen. Give me your PayPal and I’ll pay. I’m up all night after work for three days because marlin is different now and everything is wrote up different in can configuration.H and adv just don’t understand all the terminology and do t have weeks to figure it out
