After watching the Tuf series on your channel and waiting like 2 years without a laptop I finally bought this one. Ryzen 7 7735 Hs RTX 4060 16 Gb 4800 mhz ram 512 gb m.2 around $1200 which was a huge discount since I live in asia and laptops here are usually double their retail price. Gotta say it’s pretty good. Runs games really well and pretty silently too if you don’t crank the fans. As you say the silent mode in these laptops are amazing. IDK what socery Asus did but it works. I’ve also found that the heat mainly gets ejected from the two sides and a little bit off the back. Even if you do there is no coil whine but just the sound of air moving. Heat is well managed too and Battery life is really good when running off of integrated graphics for normal youtube viewing and web browsing. (note that I live in an Air conditioned room set to 25 C so your cooling result may vary based on temperature Im really happy Thanks for all the awesome videos describing the laptop. if yall want the newest Zen 4 processors check the legion 5 series they have the new chips. but only 60 wh battery.
@@omr1248 I have. With DLSS 3.0 enabled there're about 50-55 fps. Moreover the DLSS 3.5 is going to be released in this game soon, so the result would be better, i guess
Bro I also got the exect model but with 1tb SSD for about 1200doller as well from Saudi Arabia I wanted to know if your laptop gets hot as soon as you enter a game? Bcoz my laptop touches 95 as soon as I enter a game even though my room temp is between 22 to 28
Believe it or not that already exists lmao, just not in the way you think. They made it over 20 years ago in Oak Ridge, TN. The same place where the uranium was enriched for the manhattan project. They made molten salt reactors that could be packed up and shipped to areas that needed power, though they are a little bigger than most portable devices. Still crazy that they made it but big coal and big gas pretty much made them shelve it for 20+ years.
this is exactly what i was looking for! just bought an A15 with a 3050 ti, i5-12450H, 32gig ram, 2tb SSD and was wondering about something like this for my flight to japan. thank you!
Are you using the latest Nvidia driver? I get jumpy frames using it in a lot of gsmes -- like Cyberpunk 2077 when both DLSS and FG are off -- and only using the OEM ones from ASUS fixes it.
Can you run this PC on a 100 watt power supply? like the ones from Ugreen or any 100 watt PD phone charger? In that case one won't need to lug around a massive power supply that comes with the laptop.
bought a 27000mAh one that'll charge my ROG Strix 15 2022 @100W, I want to see if VR is playable and for how long. i9-12900H, 150W 3070 Ti, 64GB DDR5. If VR doesn't turn out to be great, at least PC games will be. all my stuff arrives in a week, can't wait.
Mine is charging to 80% and start to loop between 79-80% with peak charging. It will damage battery i guess. I am thinking to return it because i use a lot of PD option.
Yes it is but I mean the PD port in this laptop is only for charging battery. Iit's like 79-80% loop so battery is charging and discharging continuously even when it's idle(something like 30w), it's same thing when you turn off that battery mode, then loop is between 99-100%😂 Mine battery wear is 11% after 1,5 week of using it only on PD.
@@abcdef-un5by from 80% to 20% it lasts around 5hours in silent mode with dgpu off. Screen brightness at 100% on web browsing and TH-cam. I think it would last longer if you want to watch Netflix. To be honest battery is really good at this moment, but I give it 6 months to have 50% wear with that PD function 😂
i have the same powebank as yours, but im having a problem where if i plugged in my laptop on it it says "ICP" on the powerbank screen and it stops charging my laptop lmaoo

How much did you purchase this laptop for Tech Tyrial? Can you buy one and send it to me or sell me yours? I live in the Dutch Caribbean. I can send you the money. Spending 4 hours in a starbucks?! Must be great coffee 😂. Jk but loving these Tuf A15 vids. Recently got one myself and very impressed so far. Thanks for your guide on upgrading the storage, was good to be able to copy from someone else- I'm kind of new to taking apart electronics. I do have a question if you're ok with answering please. Saw you installed a gen 4 SSD in the video but no thermal pads- are the temps fine on the drive without them? I installed a gen 3 one but would be good to know in case I upgrade again in future. RAM upgrade was fine as I just peeled the pads off the old sticks and put them on the new ones but obviously no thermal pads included for the 2nd SSD bay. Keep up the good work and thanks for the content 👍
Awesome video man, thanks so much. I travel frequently for work and the charging outlets on commerical airplanes are usually capped at 65W (whether buisness class or economy), so you are not able to charge most gaming laptops with them. I was looking for workarounds and thought of using a 65W USB C (PD) charging block to charge a 140W battery bank, while my gaming laptop is plugged into and running off of the 140W battery bank. This video helped confirm that will all work well, and the extra tip to use the battery bank as a prop to enable better cooling is awesome.🎉🎉🎉
@@Smart_boy2001 Yes, but the battery bank doesn't last very long due to the high wattage pull, maybe like 1 to 2 hours depending on the rate/game played. I am currently looking into designing a 240W power bank with USB 3.1 PD (Power Delivery) and a high mAh capacaity.
