Huh. I never actually thought my cannon would end up in a youtube video. I'd love it if you'd tell me exactly what happened, so I could try to fix it. I could also try to explain a couple things that might not seem obvious at first. This wasn't designed to be a weapon, but rather just a method of exiting the moon's gravity. It doesn't use a piston jolt to fire, but instead just gravity combined with a device that breaks the speed limit of the pod. That's why it takes so long for the reload light to light up. That second state between reload and fire is purely for allowing you to drop a payload through that top slot into the pod. I'm glad so many liked this, and I hope more will find fun uses for it.
1:00 Small question. Why not just implement a simple fail-safe mechanism to prevent anything from going wrong during the arming and firing proses? For example, I like to just start out with all timer blocks turned off, except for the one connected to the 'reload' button, so that no wrong user input can even happen. Once it is pressed the timer block performs its assigned action which includes turning on the 'load' timer block, therefore, unlocking the second button, and so on. Hase those far worked great even in fully automated systems for me.
@@Sylrha_Takahva There is a couple reasons why I didn't. When I first set those timers up, I was dealing with a bug that caused the pistons inside the printer to stick and not move, so I'd sometimes have to tell it to reload again, and I never bothered to redo the timers after fixing that bug. Second is because this is my first build like this, and I just honestly didn't think of doing that. I'm hoping to get more feedback about any possible issues overall, and then probably post an improved/bugfixed version.
@@thundercrash1152 I know the pain... working with pistons can get ugly pretty dam fast but I'm still surprised that you ran into an issue like that here. Realy hope that Keen fixes piston behavior in the next updates (I don't care about chlang-guns). But this is seriously your first attempt at a grav-cannon? That's hella impressive if you ask me. I'm definitely looking forward to an improved version.
Those 2 projectiles he just shot at earth are about to end up in my backyard I just know

That machine looks like I need a few of them.... I made a heavy flyer called the TEC-T05 Flatbed. I'd love it if you had a look at it! It has a special button just for you!
@@FXRITYMC Not gonna lie, that's a super cool concept. I'd love to test it out in multiplayer, have one person fly out to the moon, build that up, mine resources, then fire them at the Earth base for collecting. Or do it the other way around, fly someone out to the moon then supply them with the cargo cannon.
Cool, but far too big. Maybe if you were using it as a means to shoot players from the moon to the planet very quickly... That would be awesome. The damage was a bit disappointing too. I've seen gravity guns that fire much smaller projectiles that do far more damage.

The cosmetics on this cannon are sick. Looks like a true planetary defense weapon. Well done
One question, what did you use to break the speed limit? I feel like this might help me in escaping Mars without a jump
Drive
I'd change "load" to arm, but other wise pretty cool.
Lol glad I’m not the only one who thought that
The entire gun looks like the BFG 10,000 but the barrel looks like the aquatic race titan from stellaris
The whole structure looks hella detailed

can it Shoot A Hole In Mars?
No, Its a cargo cannon

This is impressive.
This gave me War of the Worlds flashbacks.
I wonder how many times he said "all the way"
1 well placed railgun shot and u can potentially disable the entire thing... other than that it's cool af
Eyoo! You could take a look at the Monkeylord V3 made by MurlocJoe, he has a lot of other cool stuff too if you want to look at it
I encountered welding issues when you load in too many big things without deleting the old
For a mighty big gun, it shoots a mighty small turd lol
Is this a klang cannon?
I would love to know how the shell is being shot out with this
“You can’t just shoot a hole in the surface of mars”
really wish ore cannons stille did damage, this is cool none the less.
HI Jack I made a brand new anti capital ship called the Judgement Destroyer.
thought you might want to have a look
I would love to see a video trying to fit this on a ship......
congratulations, you reinvented the railgun. I'm so proud of you.
Your captions need work buddy.
Nice gun though.
and folks say grav gens ON planets are a bad idea i THINK not!
The best projectile is a drill head
Y a t il un mode ????
All the way?
:)
lol Enemies. What enemies 8 year old empty game.
what are you talking about? Lots of people play this game. A lot more people now than even 8 years ago.
