I rolled up on a deer here on the farm. Thought it was sleep eating with its eyes open. I was able to get about 10ft away then it shot off to the woods and scared us with the sound it makes

Congratulations on your purchase. Looks like lots of fun and potential.
Easiest to just get hay baled on the halves (they bale in return for keeping 1/2 the hay). Neighbors would know who does that. Then, you don't have to maintain the equipment. Will need hay fork or pallet fork to move bales. Tractor needs to be 28-30hp to handle round bales. For that yard, zero-turn for sure.

Mississippi is great. Aside from the mosquitoes and humidity. Pretty piece of property. The Tupelo area is fantastic and that’s where we call home.
The Southeast is humid everyday from Mid May sometimes through September in to mid October..Definitely different from Cali. Welcome to the South!
