Hello Bille, this is Mike. My "Happy Ass" is from the South, I grew up in the Smokey Mountains and was relocated to California by Uncle Sam while I was donating a portion of my life to making sure YOU get to continue to live in the land of the free. Now I'm sure you are more educated then to think that every American who currently lives in California is a communist, but just in case you are not I'll fill you in on a few facts. Some of the largest military bases in the country are in California and they are populated by patriots from all over this great country. California is also mostly farmland and mountains with some awesome people living in those rural areas. Unfortunately, San Francisco and LA have huge populations of people who do not think the way we do and they outnumber us at the voting poles. I don't know you but I assume you are a patriotic American and if so, you are my brother and friend. Perhaps spend a little less "Keyboard warrior" time and go do something good for someone. Have a nice day and God Bless America!
As a native of Mississippi, it is very refreshing to hear someone that has chosen to move here, speak positively about our state. We seem to always get a lot of negative press about our state and people. I hope you continue to love your new home and find great success.
@@gregbrown357 Hell, I grew up in Issaquena county and I didn’t know what they were. We don’t have them in the delta. Ticks either to speak of. On a drive down to Natchez with my wife about 15 years ago I stopped in those hills and walked into the bushes to answer nature’s call wearing shorts and flip flops. Now I know what chiggers are! LOL
Thank you for showing people Mississippi. I love the people of my State. You can't find friendlier people anywhere. We want to talk and help you in any way.
@@3MISSISSIPPI I'm on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi but I'm from north of Hattiesburg. I have a son that lives outside of Jackson and a Granddaughter near Meridian.
Welcome to Mississippi. Your place looks amazing. Look for where the deer already are going and focus your attention on that area. A neighbor may already have them coming a certain way. Do a soil test first then add what it needs before you plant any plot's. Deer seek out nutritious places to feed in. Plus they love mast tree's in the fall and will change there travel patterns to feed on them. A good plot near them will be beneficial. Remember they're browsers like goat's they don't just stand and eat in one spot. Enjoy your journey.
Good advice! Thank you. I probably want to do 3 or 4 soil test spread out, or just one in the middle of the area? Not sure what Mast trees are but I will google it :) I appreciate it!
Mast trees are like acorn trees , white oaks are best , if you find one on your property , the deer will be sure to find it , great spot for a tree stand 👍

Thank you so much guys ! We are excited to be here !
Welcome to Mississippi. Looks like y’all have a beautiful place. Wishing you the best from southwest Mississippi.
Thank you 🙏
That’s a great spot for a plot! You got the right idea on helping the whole heard. Just remember when setting a stand/blind..wind is the key. Figure out way the wind blows and where the deer come from. Then place you hunting spot according to that
Welcome to north Mississippi. I also live in north Mississippi. Any questions about the area give me a shout..!
Thank you 🙏 appreciate it !
Glad you have found your forever home! We are looking for ours to get back out of the west to the east as well! So happy for your family!
Thank you 🙏
You need to learn about electric hot wire to put around your garden to keep deer from eating the garden up. The humidity usually hits in the afternoon
I find it’s worst right before dark …
I'm glad y'all put a video out today I was getting really tired of watching The Flintstones LOL LOL

I just watched my first of your videos. I found out about you folks when C'mon David was visiting there. You have a very nice piece of property, and I look forward to your journey there. Thanks for sharing. Rick in N.H.

@@3MISSISSIPPI You are welcome.
Welcome to Mississippi. Hope you love your new ranch/farm.
Thank you 🙏
Welcome from the south delta guys! Y’all definitely seem like the kinda folks we need!
Thank you 🙏
@@3MISSISSIPPI You’re quite welcome. I get why y’all left CA. I’ve lived in the lower delta all my life but wife grew up out there. Her mom lived in Modesto until we moved her in with us at the very beginning of the WuFlu epidemic. The crazy had finally become too much for her.
I’ll confess, I had preconceived notions about anyone from the “left” coast before I met my wife but after meeting her family I realized just how wrong I was. Just good, hardworking people. Anyway, again, welcome!
Obtw, beautiful German Shepard!
Northern Miss and Alabama are very NICE, I live in GAW GA!! ran over to Corinth to get a Big Honda ATV a few years back, great place to live,
Yes I agree that would be a good spot for a food plot
Mike has great ideas for the plot area. Backs up to empty land and kinda creates a funnel spot.
I bought 6 acres, wait til winter and find the deer tracts unless you already see them then set up cameras to see where they come in and leave through. then plan your plots and setup accordingly
Thanks for sharing, you all are making me home sick, I just lost my little mother back Feb. She lived between Ellisville and laurel Mississippi, can't wait to see what you'll are going to do.
I’m sorry to hear that . ❤️
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I lost my mom two years ago and I sure miss her. I live close to Hattiesburg, Mississippi
