Hey guys! If you’ve ever felt like meal prep is overwhelming, this guide should definitely be helpful. 💪 I’ve packed it full of tips to make cooking easier, more flavorful, and honestly... kinda fun! Let me know in the comments what you’re excited to try first, and don’t forget to share your own meal prep hacks! 🥘💚 Can’t wait to hear from you all!
Thank you so much! I do share my meal preps regularly on Instagram. Since I often make similar recipes each week, I worry it might get a bit repetitive if I posted it here too. But feel free to check out my Instagram for updates-I’d love to have you there!
Quite informative video - Its pretty helpful for bachelors like me living outside India - Would love to see a series where you showcase lunch recipes to prepare within 15-20 mins so that i can get up and prepare it while having breakfast in the morning :)
This is the very first video I watched on your channel Even though you didnt smile in the beginning of the video I immediately got hooked on to your video and want to watch more. You really have a balanced video. Good combo of narration, info , video quality and a beautiful face!!!!
Very helpful! Got some good meal-prep ideas! Also, it was a breath of fresh air to see someone sharing the not-so-perfect side of them like when you didn't clean the cilantro/mint properly hence the chutney tasted like dust. That was kinda funny! Jokes apart, looking forward to more such convenient ideas/videos!
This was nice! Would really be interested in seeing how you used the meal prep items throughout the week to create mix n match meals (like on monday if you had raita chole and rice, dinner you had chila with roasted gobhi etc) Also if you could add how long can you store those items in fridge. I dont know how long can i keep chila mix
I love this video, I always fail in my weekend mealprep. This was so helpful, would love to see more such meal prep ideas especially the quick and easy paneer recipes.
The pan thing has happened with me as well! I have lived in and worked in the US for about 3 years now, seems like there will never be enough space for all our vessels! #Bigoventotherescue! loved the pickled onions, try putting them on avocado toast ! Very authentic video :)
Love this! The meals looked very balanced in terms of protein. I also loved how you had composite meal prep i.e. some foods completely cooked and for some other food, you made the preparations so that you can eat it during the week. I love it because although I enjoy cooking, I find that my enthusiasm for cooking really depends on my energy levels and amount of work I have. And having that choice of "eat completely prepared meals" vs "do some cooking" is something I usually love to have. I have 2 questions for the besan chille that I saw you mixing at 10:45 - if I understand the recipe correctly, you put the besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder and then some chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves and water, and then you store it in a container. My questions are: 1. Do I need to thaw the mixture before I cook it? Or can just directly use it from the fridge? 2. How long does the mixture last in the fridge?
Glad to hear that! I completely relate to the changing levels of enthusiasm for cooking. Since I don’t freeze the batter, I don't have to thaw it. I find that storing the mixture for 3-5 days makes the process more convenient without sacrificing quality.
Can you elaborate on the tomato/onion ratio? I usually do one large onion, and two small tomatoes for each dish I make. However I do want to cook in bulk more.
Pans in the Oven! Tell me you are an Indian without saying it 🤭 Love the content so far! the way you really prep up dishes instead of packing for the week.
Thank you so much for your video 🙏🏼 I followed every steps and already ate, it was delicious 😍✨ For the galette/bread you’ve made, what is the base ? Is it flour ?
Hello again! Thanks for sharing the process with us! At any point you find a meal missing, just know there’s a food ghost in the house and I was not involved in making it disappear. 😅
My first view of your channel. I like the besan chila. You can wash the corriander and mint leaves and use a salad spiiner to dry them. I use the bowl to wash and then spin to dry when I am making chutney.
Very helpful video. Do keep sharing more of your yummy ideas and recipes :) Could you please tell what's the blender you used for the green chutney ? Mine doesn't grind anything so smooth at all ... Thank you.
Thank you! I generally cook rice everyday as it takes 15 mins or less in the microwave. You can meal prep rice as well if that’s more convenient to you. 😀
Heyy! Super helpful video. Just a question, do the chutney and raita not start tasting off after few days of storing? How do you ensure everything tastes fresh-ish throughout the week.
Hi loved the receipes you shared and its a boon for working people. Just a question.. do you store everything in refrigerator? And does everything tastes well even on 5th day?? I am just starting meal prep so curious. 😊.
Thank you! I do store everything in the refrigerator. Everything tastes fine but naturally it won't be as good as the first day. A good tip is to add some tempering on the day you consume to add some freshness.
Hello Adhya thanks for this. My niece has moved to Notingham for her masters and my sis is really worried about her diet. I have shared this video with didi. But I wonder, does the Chole remain edible till the 7th day? Do we need to take any special care for it to not go bad in the fridge? Plz share your experience
Hello from Texas First time on your channel. Your video popped up on my screen thru you tube algorithm. Meal prep videos are always interesting. And each person has their own unique way of meal prep and storing it. Can I make a few suggestions. Since we have so many choices as viewers , we tend to see many videos and skip thru some , throughout the day. So the reason for skipping if there is too much talk. Especially in the beginning. People are waiting for the video to go straight to the content instead of having to listen to the lecture in the beginning which feels like sitting in the classroom. Also the voice over should be in a more calming and low pitch voice or it can get too harsh on the ears. Actually less talk the better . As people are more visual. Just as an example you can Rachel Talbots videos. Not promoting her. I don’t even know her but I just like her videos. Also Benji and Chris’s videos about plants and books. Their voice is so calming and peaceful that you don’t have to turn the sound off but listen to it for hours. Loved your channel. The food looked delicious and very appetizing . I guess you are all set for next week. Good job.
Hi there! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and feedback. 😊 I’m still in the process of discovering my presentation style, and this was my first time trying out this type of video. I generally post more lifestyle vlogs but I really appreciate your insights and will definitely take them into consideration for future videos. 😀
Amazing video! I am in India and do rigorous meal prep every weekend and it is a weekend ritual to second what you mentioned. Just curious, I feel the taste doesn't remain the same after maybe 2-3 days. Will it help if I lower the temperature of the fridge? I cannot store them in freezer because then it turns to ice.
Hey! Thank you. I am unsure of the fridge settings as I started meal prep after I moved to North America (I have the default settings). I have stored it for a maximum of 5 days and even though the taste isn’t as good as the first day, it doesn’t go bad.
@@AadyaAishwry oh thanks! If you love yogurt and want some comfort food with minimum time, you can also try Nepali Chukauni with warm rice! Saves me on a very busy day!
Some items are available in the regular grocery stores but navs is a good option for Indian groceries. There are other stores on parliament and gerrad.
Oh my good Lord! That was a narrow escape and the horror was evident on your face! My heart skipped a beat too! You got really lucky there but I don’t blame you. Forgetfulness is a classic feature of human brain and I’m worse here! But you are certainly not clumsy; on the contrary, the very act of prepping meal and the way you conduct your life, the way you have kept your space, screams of your high proclivity for an organised living which certainly adds efficiency too. And what a coincidence! I recently got myself a ginger grater and my tea tastes better now! 😅 Of course you are and have been a great cook! I remember your love for yogurt and how you used to add a bit water to yogurt with a dash of any masala available to make a delicious buttermilk! 😁🩷 Awesome vlog! You should really share your dinner meal prep too alongwith meal prep friendly recipes! Very informative and enjoyed it thoroughly! 🩷🩷🩷
It does survive but it doesn't taste as fresh as a first day. I have never stored it in the freezer, however feel free to do so if that works for you. :)

Frozen cauliflower and okra and instant pot would cut your prep time. Love the green chutney and pickled onion tip
Thank you! 😊
Your meal prep is fantastic and very inspiring. I think prepping cauliflower and also prepping potatoes a big chore, but both are worth it.
Nice to see indian meal prep! Try the instant pot for lentils and beans it makes life easier.

The raita can be stored till how many days? also, the same question for the besan chilla batter - how many days can it be stored?

just don't put salt on while preparing. put it when you are eating it.

Lol, I have also pre heated baking pans a few times. Many Indian homes use ovens and dishwashers as additional rack to dry/store utensils 😅

Hey! Please check out my channel. I have shared quick and easy recipes.
I travel to work and back for 4 hours in total everyday so I started meal prepping on Sundays. My typical meal prep looks like this: 3 curries and 1 daal. In those 3 curries I try to include one high in protein like Chole/Chana/Rajma/Lobia and for the other 2 curries are for example Aloo mattar and Carrot+beans+dried coconut. When it comes to daal, I try to make it with at least one leafy vegetable like Palak or Methi or Amaranth. Rice during the morning and chapatis for dinner so that I dont feel bored eating just rice and always with some kind of high fiber salad with every meal. This way, I am trying to eat healthy throughout the week, not ordering food and spending just 30-40€ for groceries every week!
