As a graduate students in the US and after the birth of my first son I tried the Atkins diet , it worked. Unfortunately later I went back to the old eating habits I grew up with. Trying to implement it now. As you have mention ed I suffer from sevete arthritis too,need to loose weigjt.

Where I live, Algeria, avocados are imported, not readily available and excessively expensive, more than prime cuts of bio meat. Yes, we have olive oil but I don't like it, great aversion since my childhood. Salmon, the same as avocados. Thanks for your help
I need to quit night TV. TV 📺 makes me eat mindlessly. I never used to watch much, until the pandemic. I'm becoming more mindful, watching less TV, though still not every night. I want to get rid of these extra 40 lbs.
I thought i was gonna pass out n die after taking 1 capsule on an empty stomach. My stomach was intensely burning n i was sweating profusely n thought i was going to pass out.
One must take the info in. And focus on Ones body and how it works or not. Key: make small changes to diet & stop to Listen really listen to your body. When all else fails write it down. All of it. Every bite and daily reaction of what you are eating. 🙏🕊

I took the cayenne pepper (capsule form) in the morning and about 10 minutes later threw it all up and suffered a burning throat.
I also had that at first when I took half a t in water... Reduced to 1/4t... But now I am used to it and take 1/2t.... Don't need my BP meds.

Haha, Dr Atkins died of heart attack in his 70’s.
He slipped on an icy sidewalk in NY and hit head which caused his death. Can’t see why you’d find any reason for his death to be a funny.
