The ending to death note was definitely an unsatisfactory feeling. I was hoping for L to somehow come back.. or light reflected upon the mistakes he made by using his power for greed and turned it into the actual world where the criminals that are not punished always rightfully attain their justice from their names being written in the book. If we are going into heavier stuff maybe check out some Suicide Silence Job for a cowboy and not sure if you have done any post hardcore yet but check out blessthefall, saosin, chiodos. I think you’d enjoy the mixture of the harmony in the vocals along with the screams.
I also think ots better than the original which is crazy cause i never like covers better than originals except Dallas Greens cover of Alice In Chains Rain When I Die, another song you should react to btw! But man will adding that screaming part just amped the emotion and intensity up to 11.

Also I like Will's version better mainly because I felt the "you got me a chokehold" fell flat in the original for me. Like it was a 10/10 but after hearing Wills take it 100% would have been better with vessel screaming that section in the first verse imo.

Unpopular opinion: his Sleep Token Covers are far from being mind blowing. Apart from the screams they are actually botched by Will's american pronunciation, which sounds absolutely terrible compared to Vessel's elegant british pronunciation. Way too big shoes in general but with the wrong pronunciation or an american accent you definitely should avoid covering Vessel's vocals. You can only fail. It's not just about hitting the right notes.
