The lyricism in the song is just amazing. The “gimme 5 whole minutes” is crazy. The song being 5:18, and the singing starts at exactly 0:18 in the song, so you give him exactly 5 whole minutes. God I love this band
@@cenobytecodeas soon as he starts that sentence, the song hits the 18 second mark or the 5:18 song, so 5 whole minutes was what i meant by that. My bad if the way i put it wasn’t clear
@@Defiance4266no no, not a criticism! That's the genius...it starts at 5:00 but it's like he's trying to think of what to say and needs to run the tape back so he has the 5 whole minutes again. You're spot on with the timing.
On top of that, in the previous song Take Me Back To Eden, Vessel sings "I will travel far beyond the path of reason" at 2:15, and then "I have travelled far beyond the path of reason at 7:15, also five minutes apart
Man, i discovered the group like a week ago, listened to all the trilogy all fucking week and you are infinitely right. I couldn't put the words onto the feeling, and you seriously saved me a couple night of sleep lmao
I have listened to this song at least a hundred times by now and there’s still like a 50/50 chance I get choked up and/or teary eyed every goddamn time. This song just has some other worldly power
“Yet in reverse you were all my symmetry, a parallel I would lay my life on”. Is a lyric that happens to have elements of geometry in it. It’s interesting because the father of geometry’s name was Euclid, the name of this song. Euclid also means “A copy of the same” which vessel has expressed quite a bit in this song, which I believe one of those lyrics was “I must be someone new”
Euclid is Vessel’s way of paying tribute to all of the album’s they have put so far. It is a a final goodbye to the trauma and heartache from his past relationship and a somewhat joyful look to the future. With the ending looping back to the night does not belong to god making the trilogy of albums a perfect loop. Those feelings of hurt are lessened but the scars will always be present. I love your reactions and glad I could see your Sleep Token journey. ❤
Sachez que l’histoire d’amour dont se réfère Vessel est antérieure à Sleep Token, j’ai découvert qui est ce chanteur et qui est sa muse surtout quand il dit……..these ancient canopies…..
It isn't something hard to find so don't be like "look at me i know who they are" If you wanna know just search it and keep it to yourself@@bonavitamanuela9513
same, i used to listen to it after a break up so this song as well as Bloodsport is always very painful to listen specially cuz of the lyrics and how u interpret it
It is essentially a goodbye, but I think he’s just letting go a part of himself that he knows he needs to release. But he feels guilty because that part of him has been apart of his identity for so long. He is finally awakening and ultimately becoming a different version of his self.
Seeing Kyle break at "For me it's still the autumn leaves" hit me. That spot gets me every time. It's not necessarily thinking of autumn leaves specifically. But I think metaphorically we all have our "autum leaves." Specific memories of a time or place that is embedded in our brain that just invoke emotion within us. For whatever reason, that line just gets me.
I lose it when he sings "I must be someone new". every time. the moving forward through pain and despair, becoming a better person through the tears. hits so hard.
@@thejuniorseas7683 It feels that way for me too… “for me it’s still the autumn leaves”… the undeniable sign that the seasons of renewal, birth, & growth, are over & you know with the beauty of every falling leaf, that this moment in life is ticking closer to its end.
The line "yet in reverse you are all my symmetry, a parallel I would lay my life on" is so great. parallel lines never cross, they go their own way. such a clever way to show acceptance that 2 people paths won't cross. and then in the end "i know for the last time you will not be mine" relating to it and circling back to the first song of sundowning. Just incredible.
I take it a bit further. Parallel likes don't cross, but they always don't diverge. They stay forever just out of reach but always there. The key part here is that this is seen "in reverse". When you "run it forward" it is a "life like wires" which come in twisted pairs for communications (to eliminated interference), plus earlier references to their relationship being like wires and circuits (Aquar Regia, take me back to eden). This matches with the love-hate, toxic relationship where they are tangled up like branches in a flood, like lovers entwined. But 'in reverse", seeing the bigger picture, it's like their relationship was always just out of reach, they were "symmetric" and mirror images, like in ascentionism, but parallel and never really coming together. To me it's saying that going forward through their relationship it seemed like a cyclic dance of love and chaos, but looking back on it "in reverse", they were parallel and going through similar things, but never really came together (parallel). This forward, reverse, symmetric, parallel, cyclic, entwined set of themes goes on throughout the albums, including this last song ending with the lyrics of the first song of the trilogy. And, I haven't heard anyone yet mention that the end of Euclid ends in a partial measure that, in musical terms, does not "resolve". That is also the theme of Euclid, that he's healing, moving on, a new person, but he misses it, he's obsessed with their relationship, thinking about it laying in bed staring at an empty ceiling. He's trying to move on, but he doesn't have closure. Their story doesn't have a definitive ending one way or another; it is unresolved at the end, both the story and the music. Like parallel lines.
Just hear me out- this song, at my funeral. That’s how I want to be said goodbye to. It has everything. Beautiful vocals, instrumental moments that just grab you by the throat. That’s what I want.
I had this same thought years ago when I heard TNDNBTG. Now all I would want is for that song and Euclid to be played. No speaking, no theatrics, just two beautiful songs that mean the world to me.
somebody made a tiktok with scenes from a funeral from the show Eastbound & Down, featuring this song. hilarious. danny mcbride being chased around with a boombox...
I cry tears of pure joy to this song. I lost my wife 5 years ago(she was only 35). This song really hits home for me. Thanks my Brothers for doing this album. It was amazing to watch yall!
TY my Brother. We share a connection I wish no one should ever have to feel. I took almost 3 years to really get back to my life and move forward. The scar will never fade. And you don't want it to
just the fact that it ends how it began, like an endless cycle, is beautiful to me. the drums after “the night belongs to you” are the same that play when he sings “the night comes down like heaven” in the first song, “this bough has broken through” is a direct callback to their older song “when the bough breaks”, “do you still believe nothing else matters” is a callback from “blood sport”, i could go on forever about how genius this song is.
Do not apologize for pausing!! This is a reaction channel correct?? You can pause and talk about the song whenever you feel the need. When something in it hits you, share that with us. We are here for YOUR reaction. If people want to hear or see the video uninterrupted, they can go watch the actual video. I want to hear everything you have to say about the music, specially the songs I enjoy. This was a phenomenal reaction and maybe you guys can do a cave cast episode about this entire album now that you’ve heard it all.
FOR REAL!! If i watch 'reactions' i wanna see people pause and talk abt it. Not listen to it all the way through and say "that was cool" or something like that😂
My thoughts exactly, and I must say these two are my favorite reactors. They explain and give their thoughts and aren’t afraid to show emotion. Love it guys!
Honestly I feel like they are above the grammy's... grammy's are an award for how many times you were played on the radio, not by your quality. It's almost a badge of shame, if you ask me!
@@Nathdood yeah like how Marco Pierre White gave back his Michelin Stars cause he thought they were BS. Sleep Token and MPW, both absolute legends tbh 😂
circling back to this to let you know in case you didn’t see it, this album won best heavy metal album a few days ago! not a grammy, but still a massive achievement 🙌🏻
I didn't know who Sleep Token was before this album. They are now my favorite band by far. This album is such an unbelievable masterpiece. A once in a lifetime perfection of music. Every single song has such an important place. When I think I'm going to just listen to a song on the album I find myself going back to the beginning and just listening to it all again.
I was fortunate enough to find them when This Place Will Become Your Tomb came out. I was already in love with them when this album came out, so this song hit ridiculously hard.
I just realized this song doesn't go back to the first album Sundowning, but it goes back to the very first EP One with When The Bough Breaks with the lyrics "This bough has broken through". Every time I listen to their music, I find something new that amazes me. Just, wow ❤
His reference to "if your wings won't find you heaven, I will bring it down like an ancient bygone" is a reference to "levitate" off of sundowning. In levitate he says "will you levitate up where the angels inhabit? Will you levitate where I won't reach you?" Obviously this time around, however, he's not *looking up* at his beloved trying to get to heaven, he's already ascended himself and he's *looking down* at her, hoping that he can lift her up with him (i.e., that she can move on too). It's fucking CRUSHING.
Also “you will not be mine” on Euclid goes back to Their song “Mine” when he says “you will be mine” This is vessels closure. The pain will always be there but he’s letting go and accepting it. This song hits me like running on NF hope album
The moment I heard "The night belongs to you" I was in tears. (TNDNBTG callback) and then immediately the next line "the bough was broken through" just sent waterfalls down my face. (Song - When the Bough Breaks ref.) Ending with TNDNBTG which was where Sundowning started is such a cool way to wrap the trilogy together
If you listen to the album from start to finish, it's an absolute emotionally roller coaster. I've never listened to an album and literally been exhausted at the end of it. Throughout the album, you can tell Vessel has been through some true trauma in life, and this album is his therapy or courage to face it. By the end of the album, you can hear some sort of healing or acceptance of whatever that trauma was or still is. You can see it in his mask as well. In the beginning, his mask was constricting, closed off, or hiding his pain. Currently, it's peeling back almost like it's releasing him in sense. I could go on for days about the band, but at the end of the day, the album is a masterpiece.
Perfect end to the trilogy. Lyrically it brought the albums to a close in the most satisfying way. Note all the lyric call backs too to past albums and songs. Such awesome storytelling/writing.
These ancients canopies are the answer! Il nous donne lui même la clef du mystère et nous raconte cette histoire d’amour et aujourd’hui la boucle est bouclée ! Je suis désolée d’avoir découvert qui il est !😊
Im so conflicted man. My heart is desperate for more. But in my mind I understand, they poured every ounce of emotion and energy into this. How do you top it or follow it up if theres nothing left? I've pretty much resigned to the idea that music won't make me feel this way again for a very long time, maybe ever. It's unbelievably bittersweet. So grateful I got to experience it.
Vessel’s lyricism is phenomenal! I’m 63 and I’m obsessed. I can’t wait to see you react to their older music. I’m eager to see if we have the same insights. The only ‘hint’ I will give (and it’s not really a hint) is that I’ve never seen a band get this deep of a reaction from men as Sleep Token. This is Man Speak lyrics and it’s almost overwhelming to hear such honesty. I feel privileged to listen. Thanks again guys. I am here for more
Euclid ends with the lyrics from TNDNBTG but with the keys going up in tune giving it a more hopeful feeling as opposed to TNDNBTG feels slight somber. It truly feels like the end of the story and that there’s hope at the end of it all. 1. Attraction 2. Lust 3. Ascension Worship 🖤
When he says “ The night belongs to you” I always interpreted that as him finally being able to sleep. This song feels like Vessel is finally free of the roller coaster of this relationship he has spent three albums trying to make work.
The first time I heard this song, I was laying in bed with headphones on and it took me on an absolute emotion journey. And when the song was finished I found myself laying in a puddle of happy tears and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Absolute masterpiece.
Euclid is so emotional. I wish i could experience this song for the first time again. The emotions that went through me and the tears i cried. I'm flying with my daughter to Chicago to see them.
Sleep token got me through the roughest part of my life. I cry so hard and Euclid now that I'm on the other side because it mirrors the way I feel now. I've never had music hit so hard emotionally before.
The other day I had a panic attack and ended up in the emergency room and the entire time I was laying there in the ER bed feeling like I was dying, I had this song playing in my head. It was a source of comfort. I’ve been waiting for this reaction and it didn’t disappoint. Thank you for this.
Boys let me tell you. Hearing this live is something else. It was a absolutely surreal experience that I will never forget. And hearing the last few notes of this song at the end brought tears to my eyes because I knew it was the end of the show and I just didn’t want it to end.
I didn't think I was going to get as emotional as I did..but I was weeping. It was beautiful in so many ways, starting with the few keys on the piano. The whole concert felt like an incredible dream. The visuals that were like stars in the sky ( the ones over our heads in the crowd). I would raise my hand up into the light and it was surreal. Words cant express the emotions and feelings that went into the whole concert as well as the album. All I can say is thank you. thank you.,
The reason this song is so impactful is because of the following: Imagine it’s like 2017 and you stumble upon this new band and listen to their two EP‘s over and over again, experiencing some of the most unique takes on metal and alternative music. Then a couple years later they release a full length album and the opening track is so different and intriguing with some of the most interesting drum grooves I’ve ever heard. You listen to that album over and over again because it’s something you’ve never experienced before musically. Fast forward multiple years later and you get this song. It’s like a little thank you for all the support over the years. I wouldn’t call myself a gatekeeper, but it’s not gonna hit the same for a lot of newer fans. Regardless, I’m glad this band is getting the recognition that they deserved years ago
This whole song is so gorgeous, the whole cyclicic thing they do weaving lyrics and melodies together from multiple tracks, it's so intense in the best possible way
For me “..the autumn leaves, these ancient canopies, the bough broke thru, I must be someone new..” hits me so hard I bawl like a newborn. As a sufferer of depression and trying to figure out who I am and deal with trauma, it speaks to a path of self discovery, of letting go of old wounds and how easy it is to “lay beneath these canopies” or fall back into old habits of self criticism and reliving your trauma over and over again. When the bough breaks, you reach a breaking point, you decide you want to be better and you embark on the journey of self healing and self love. I hope anyone else who reads this interpretation who suffers from depression and/or trauma or any other mental illness finds it useful and know that this moment was meant for you to be here and to read this and be enlightened. May your journey of healing and self love be fruitful and uplifting forever ❤
Yes! This is so true. It's easy to go back to because we know it so much. I struggle with it every day. But I agree when it gets to a point where its like fuck! I can't do this anymore.
The whole song feels to me like bittersweet nostalgia. Especially the end, the end feels like a flash back all the way to the beginning at the end of the story, showing how far they’ve come. Worship! ❤
Thank you gentlemen, it was a pleasure to join this whole album reaction ride with you guys. Take me back to eden is a masterpiece. I'm 38yo and this album is at least the best album of the decade for me. I have not heard anything like this for a very long time. Pure perfection!
I watch this video alot because of how genuine and relatable your reaction to this is and its like i'm reliving my first time hearing this song again and its such a special moment in Sleep Tokens music because of how everything comes full circle, I love this song and I love you guys, Steve here from Scotland, thankyou, your content is awesome!
"I will bring it down like an ancient bygone" - Is a reference to "Take me back to Eden" Heaven out of reach brought back down to earth out of love for someone desperately trying to reach it with her wings, but unable to get there. Eden, heaven on earth, the origin of man, perfection, is as ancient and bygone as it gets. That lyric hits so hard. The first time I listened, I thought he was "bringing it down" like tearing it down because it wasn't worthy of her, but the the real meaning came to me, and it is even better, even more poetically imaginative. He will restore heaven to earth for her. Wow. What a song!
This has been a journey!! To watch you two react to this album has been a real treat, and I want to thank you both for your honest and genuine love for Sleep Token I can’t wait for you guys to now go do Sundowning and then This Place Will Become Your Tomb, all I ask is that you do the albums in order so that you can experience it correctly, YOU GUYS ROCK, really enjoyed this #WORSHIP 🙏🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🙏🏻 Euclid is my favorite song off TMBTE and it makes me emotional every time I hear it Here is a fun fact about this album. Sleep token I think invited about 60 or 65 of their fans in England to a secluded location to listen to this album before it was released. Vessel came out and sat in his full outfit and just watched people, listen to the album in its entirety. Watching them cry and take everything in, and when it was done, he waved and bowed and gave them the heart sign and left… COULD YOU IMAGINE?!?!
From the moment I heard it, Euclid became my favorite track on the album. I've listened to it on repeat for hours. Such a beautiful piece and perfect ending.
Since english is not my first language, I am having problems understanding what he is singing. But the composition, the rhythm, the choice of notes, the chord progressions, the dynamics and the emotions make me understand the message. Their musical concept, the delivery and the passion is very special. I think it will het very hard for them to top this album after this one. I just hope that they take their time and produce the next album that is equal or even better.
Watching them get blown away by the lyrics is making ME think about them deeper and want to cry to. This one always sounded like they said like bittersweet happy. Like a saying goodbye ending of a movie
Found them through will Ramos myself and easily supplanted every other band as my all time favorite band. As someone in my 30s whose listened to tons of music I never thought I’d find a new band that could do that. What a beautiful musician
Oh watching it finally hit y’all and having that moment of realization was truly wonderful. I’m so glad you took the advice from the comments and did TNDNBTG beforehand. I’m so happy that you get to listen to this album all the way through. This album hit me harder than anything I can remember in years and years and years. It was such a fun journey to watch you go from unsure to loving it. WORSHIP 💜🙏
Listening to the trilogy of albums is almost like watching a tv show; being told a whole story, getting invested, and being simultaneously comforted & devastated when it finally comes to an end
I genuinely love your guys’ appreciation for the lyrics and your ability to put together the callbacks. You’ll recognize more the more you listen to their old music ◡̈
I’m glad you guys have been able to enjoy a Sleep Token as much as the rest of us, it’s been fun watching your journey through this album and I can’t wait to see how you guys like their previous work and how much you start to see it in Take me back to Eden. I started listening to Sleep Token in August of last year before they released the album They quickly became my favorite band and I’m going to see them live tomorrow here in Michigan where I’m from and it’s also my birthday tomorrow, I could not have asked for anything better after discovering this band other than seeing them live on my birthday for the first time.
14:31 The main event that actually started this journey was his longtime girlfriend suffering from mental illness over the course of a longtime. Eventually taking her own life and he had these dreams of a deity named Sleep. His songs are tokens and shows are rituals where you worship by listening to tokens for Sleep. Worship!😁❤ Love all the reactions hope you do the other albums!
I still cry when I hear this song if I can't distract myself 😅 It's just so good & touching. It sounds like the ending of something but there's this hope that makes it also sound like the beginning of something new. I cannot wait for your reactions to their older work. 🥰
I lost my mother a few years back and this song just hits home in a way no other song has. The last happy memory I have with her was in autumn. So for me, it's still the autumn leaves. Always makes me cry, what a beautiful way to portray grief and acceptance. Thank you guys for reacting to this song ❤
This is one of the very few songs that every single time I hear, I get so emotional that I have shivers all over my body and get choked up wanting to cry. In the best way possible though. So many emotions all at once, it is almost a surreal experience. Sleep token truly gave us something special💙
I have never gone down the rabbit hole with a band so hard and so fast as Sleep Token. Euclid makes me weep. I dont want it to end. I never want it to end. Worship.
This song brought me to my knees the first time I heard it. Thank you two for taking us along with your experience of TMBTE. I love watching others feel the same things I feel when I listen to this band, and it’s been a great journey. “Then stars arise, and the night is holy.” Worship.
The line that gets me is “and if your wings don’t find you heaven, I will bring it down like an ancient bygone”. I lost my grandmother in October and she was one of the very few people I felt truly close to, and I feel this very way about her.
I must say I loved the references to the "aincent canopies they used to lay beneath" and then later on how he says It's very interesting really how this entire song seems to be directed towards Vessel, and one more person. Like he refers to himself as nothing but a bough holding the canopies of leaves and then breaking off to give the night to whoever is below... And therefore he must be someone new, since he is not just a bough holding a canopy of leaves anymore. I may be completely wrong, but... seems that way to me. Edit: just went back and listened to the night does not belong to god again... and there he opens with talking about someone who left in autumn and here he asks if do you remember me when the rain falls and when the water gathers... and "for me it is the autumn canopy we used to lay under" damn... this song just got heavier in meaning for me. Also... I missed one thing I think many of us did... the song is named Euclid, Euclid is know as "The father of geometry" he was one of the greatest mathmaticians and logicians of ancient greece. And isn't the masks they use geometry forms? at least the figure sitting there in this vid is... It could be a reference to another important figure with the same name, Euclid of Megara the student of Socrates, Founder of the megarian school of philosopy. And or just the meaning of Euclid... copy pasta from wiki here... 'eu-' (εὖ; 'well') and 'klês' (-κλῆς; 'fame'), meaning "renowned, glorious". The word 'Euclid' less commonly also means "a copy of the same", and is sometimes synonymous with 'geometry'.
I've listened to this song probably over 100 million times, however watching you two react to it bought me back to that first time I heard it, I was crying with you, what a unbelievable song, thank you for sharing
The whole album has just been such an absolute wild ride, and I'm glad you guys are finally HERE. I remember when the singles were still slowly drip-feeding us, and The Summoning was the best thing I'd ever heard from these guys, but then they released the title track and it totally blew THAT out of the water ... but then when I finally heard the actual ALBUM I completely fell in love with Ascenscionism. But now, finally, after a few months of just playing this OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THIS ONE has finally, truly become my very favourite Sleep Token song of all ...
I had listened to this album so many times since it dropped last may, and a couple weeks ago I was driving listening to it like usual but Euclid just hit me and made me bawl out of nowhere I started laughing and crying at same time cause I had no idea how they can make me feel how they do.
Can’t wait for you guys to listen to This Place Will Become Your Tomb. The first song Atlantic is so so good. So glad you enjoyed this album, i’ve been looking forward to this reaction all week.
I just heard this song for the first time tonight. I was not aware of the history or the callbacks, it was a pure first listen and it caught me off guard. I haven’t been able to see my daughter for a year and this song made me go through so many repressed emotions I have about the situation and I don’t know how to process. I didn’t know a song could make me feel this way. I’m destroyed.
I remember the day this came out and I heard it I was at work, and as soon as the callback kicked in I literally teared up and stuttered out loud trying to think of “the night does not belong to god” but couldn’t even speak, I really appreciate how emotional Kyle gets over their songs, I feel his emotions because I get the same way, if I had to guess I’d say he’s been through plenty of painful times with relationships. Those are emotions that never go away
Sleep token hooks you. I've been listening this none stop since release. I force myself to listen to something else. But keep coming back to this and back catalogue. Amazing band. 👍
Your faces from 1:43 - 2:00 are exactly how I would describe processing this entire album experience. Thank you both. This track had me running to everyone I know absolutely RAVING about how we could have possibly missed this band for so long and why they're doing something really special.
I just spent about 2 hours watching your guys' journey through this album. Thank you for listening and reacting to it! It was exactly how I felt when I first discovered it. Listening to it feels like a religious experience. It was as if I was discovering a new type of musical experience. Perfect album! Thanks again for sharing your experience with it!
This is such an absolutely beautiful ending to such an amazing journey of musical love, harmony, and absolute adventure. This album….and most importantly this song is the song both me and my fiancé listen to and have chosen as our song. From sleep tokens first album, and then when they started this trilogy we have both been fans, but also it’s one of the things that brought us together In probably one of the hardest times in our relationship. It makes me so excited and somehow at peace that you guys have done this. Your reactions, your everything have been so beautiful. I’ve been following you both for quite a while now and have loved every single second of your reactions. Thank you both..truly.

It's kinda silly but when you said "I don't want it to end" that brought me to tears, because that's how this song makes me feel. I don't want the good times to end.
This will mean even more after you hear all of the other albums. So many little call backs. It's perfect. ❤ Whoever made the lyric video, it's hard on the eyes. I had to not watch that part of the screen.
I just want to say, I've rewatched this video so many times because I love your reactions and I absolutely love this song. One thing I really appreciate about your videos specifically is how you take the time to actually react to the song as it's happening. You apologize for pausing a lot, but that's what we're coming here for! Keep it up!
My best friend and I are from Ohio, we are currently in Baltimore for the show that just passed on the 13th. I can confidently say that seeing Sleep Token live was the most surreal and soul healing experience of my life. I belted out loud to every single song played, I nearly cried in front of a ton of strangers. I felt every single song so deep inside me and I'm sad it's over but I will look back on it with such love for so many years to come. I hope you guys get to experience that one day too.
The beautiful thing about Sleep Token, is their style is so flexible and with every song you can expect the unexpected. Their music is beautiful. After listening to them I got my wife and kids listening to them and we all absolutely love Sleep Token.
Hearing this song, the beginning piano just reminded me of a school play, and this was the Grand finale for such a masterpiece. Finally listened to The Night Does Not Belong to God, and the tone difference between that and this piece is different (to me at least). In TNDNBTG, it sounds like Sleep is speaking to Vessel in the repeated piece ("You will not be mine"), whereas in Euclid it sounds like Vessel is responding back to Sleep with realization/begrudging acceptance ("you will not be mine"). Just something that i felt within these two pieces. Finally, the idea of this song being called Euclid is genius, because in Euclidean geometry, Euclid states that two parallel lines will never intersect. In context of this, it's a statement that they'll never cross paths directly...
Here's my personal take on this titanic gem of a song: After taking us on a three album journey of heartache, melancholic beauty, and a sharing of pain that gave us all a sense of community and understanding, Sleep Token, and Vessel in particular gave voice to the pain that we all carry for the majority of our lives. I can testify, that sometimes that's all you can do. Very often the only solace I can give the brothers and sisters who share my affliction is to say, "I feel your pain, let's ride this out together." I see Euclid as a reward for making it through these five years by not dwelling on the pain, but acknowledging it, thanking it for it's lessons, and bidding it farewell. From the very first note, Euclid delivers light and beauty, and it gives us the proof that we have always known, that there is always light after dark if we just keep moving forward. I am not exaggerating when I say that this song, coming after all of their other incredible music, has made me feel like I'm still in this fight and that I can keep putting one foot in front of the other with a smile on my face.
This came up on my FYP, and I’m so glad it did. Easiest subscribe in a long time. I did a quick search and didn’t see… My suggestion, Bloodsport (From the Room Below). Also, Vessel’s Lafayette message. That kills me every time. I just saw them in Philly on 9/9, and it was life changing. Worship. 💜🙏🏼
The lyricism in the song is just amazing. The “gimme 5 whole minutes” is crazy. The song being 5:18, and the singing starts at exactly 0:18 in the song, so you give him exactly 5 whole minutes. God I love this band
Actually the line "Just run it back, give me 5 whole minutes", the song has 4:55 left ...genius.
@@cenobytecodeas soon as he starts that sentence, the song hits the 18 second mark or the 5:18 song, so 5 whole minutes was what i meant by that. My bad if the way i put it wasn’t clear

Man, i discovered the group like a week ago, listened to all the trilogy all fucking week and you are infinitely right. I couldn't put the words onto the feeling, and you seriously saved me a couple night of sleep lmao
That's how I felt when I first listened to the album Disintegration by The Cure. And I agree that it certainly applies to sleep token too.
Kyle holding it together the whole time is how 99% of us feel while listening lol. I’ve never cried so much because of a song
I have listened to this song at least a hundred times by now and there’s still like a 50/50 chance I get choked up and/or teary eyed every goddamn time. This song just has some other worldly power
@@miss__anthropyyep, I get choked up every damn time near the end. Pure magic
I cried all over again watching this.
Every single time

that little smirk and "okay..." from eric when "these ancient canopies" played..
Had me on the edge of my seat hoping he won't.... you know... offer us a blacklit paradise 🫢

@@khiemho1106 dude...
Euclid, to me, sounds like a “goodbye”. It chokes me up every single time.
same, i used to listen to it after a break up so this song as well as Bloodsport is always very painful to listen specially cuz of the lyrics and how u interpret it
It is essentially a goodbye, but I think he’s just letting go a part of himself that he knows he needs to release.
Mine is “We tangle endlessly like lovers entwined, I know for the last time you will not be mine, so give me the night.” That destroys me to my core.
Memories fade, the autumn leaves fall
That lyric makes me think of those wistful, cathartic recollections of a dying memory!
@@thejuniorseas7683
It feels that way for me too… “for me it’s still the autumn leaves”… the undeniable sign that the seasons of renewal, birth, & growth, are over & you know with the beauty of every falling leaf, that this moment in life is ticking closer to its end.
The lyrics about "symmetry" and "parallel" are a good indication of the song's title!
this exact line and your comment really hits hard 😣
Also circles back to Mine from tpwbyt "you will be mine" - "I know for the last time, you will not be mine". So many references 💓
@@danielschegh9695 this comment deserves to be further up. Lovely reading.
Damn I didn’t know I wanted this but I def do. Thank you
somebody made a tiktok with scenes from a funeral from the show Eastbound & Down, featuring this song. hilarious. danny mcbride being chased around with a boombox...
I want it at my wedding
I've said the same about this song and TNDNBTG
I cry tears of pure joy to this song. I lost my wife 5 years ago(she was only 35). This song really hits home for me. Thanks my Brothers for doing this album. It was amazing to watch yall!
Got you in my heart, brother. I can't imagine losing my best friend. Much love, man. Much love

TY my Brother. We share a connection I wish no one should ever have to feel. I took almost 3 years to really get back to my life and move forward. The scar will never fade. And you don't want it to
Brother I’m with you
@johndorton2599 I'm sorry my Brother. I forgot to give my condolences to you. I'm always here for you too!
just the fact that it ends how it began, like an endless cycle, is beautiful to me. the drums after “the night belongs to you” are the same that play when he sings “the night comes down like heaven” in the first song, “this bough has broken through” is a direct callback to their older song “when the bough breaks”, “do you still believe nothing else matters” is a callback from “blood sport”, i could go on forever about how genius this song is.
The very end of the song is a direct call back from The night does not belong to god, which was the first song on the first album of the trilogy.
@@JoeMikeMakes yes i know, i was pointing out other callbacks hidden within the song. that’s why i said “it ends how it began”.
Thank you for this!
Ancient canopies is a reference too (if you know you know don’t try to find out)
@christopherbrock5401 alright bro 🙄
Hoping this album gets some Grammy recognition for Album of the Year. Probably wishful thinking though but they deserve it for sure.
they were absolutely robbed. not even a single nomination. grammys are a complete joke lol
Album of the year...it gets my vote for album of ALL TIME 😂
Honestly I feel like they are above the grammy's... grammy's are an award for how many times you were played on the radio, not by your quality.
It's rare to get such incredible lyricism and melody. Like god damn its so good
I was fortunate enough to find them when This Place Will Become Your Tomb came out.
Just, wow ❤
It goes back to his previous music project from before sleep token. He's referenced his previous music project before.
He also says “nothing Else Matters” like in Bloodsport.
His reference to "if your wings won't find you heaven, I will bring it down like an ancient bygone" is a reference to "levitate" off of sundowning.
In levitate he says "will you levitate up where the angels inhabit? Will you levitate where I won't reach you?"
Obviously this time around, however, he's not *looking up* at his beloved trying to get to heaven, he's already ascended himself and he's *looking down* at her, hoping that he can lift her up with him (i.e., that she can move on too).
It's fucking CRUSHING.
These ancients canopies, c’est la clef du mystery et à ce moment là commence cette histoire magnifique!
Also “you will not be mine” on Euclid goes back to Their song “Mine” when he says “you will be mine”
This is vessels closure. The pain will always be there but he’s letting go and accepting it. This song hits me like running on NF hope album
The moment I heard "The night belongs to you" I was in tears. (TNDNBTG callback) and then immediately the next line "the bough was broken through" just sent waterfalls down my face. (Song - When the Bough Breaks ref.)
Ending with TNDNBTG which was where Sundowning started is such a cool way to wrap the trilogy together
Thats where I started crying. It just hit so hard
Their second album "This Place will Become Your Tomb" is also reaction worthy...wink wink...
Yes! It keeps switching with TMBTE for me as my fav album of theirs!
@@dayvan_cowgirl I just shuffle all three at this point.
All of their albums are reaction worthy
Especially starting the album with Atlantic.
To see eric go from sceptical in the beginning with chokehold and becoming a fan has been an awesome journey.
The "Do you still believe that nothing else matters?" was so deep
Kinda ties it to blood sport, “ you say it doesn’t matter”
The line “this bough has broken through” is a reference to their song ‘When the Bough Breaks’. Which is a song released before Sundowning.
Well said, I feel the exact same I show so many people their music but I feel like I’m the only one of us that can’t get enough of it 😢

Kyle not wanting this song to end like we don't want the boys sleep token reactions to end. Great videos guys.
Euclid is so emotional. I wish i could experience this song for the first time again. The emotions that went through me and the tears i cried. I'm flying with my daughter to Chicago to see them.
This album literally saved my life, it helped me through my breakdown. I cried seeing vessel singing live. Sleep token are amazing ❤
This whole song is so gorgeous, the whole cyclicic thing they do weaving lyrics and melodies together from multiple tracks, it's so intense in the best possible way
This is my favorite song from them.
I found them at hard time in my timeline and they've helped me get through it.
So glad I found this band. Worship.
This album and this song has been so moving to me! Just brings joy and tears at the same time. I was so excited for this one! ❤️❤️ ♾️
To watch you two react to this album has been a real treat, and I want to thank you both for your honest and genuine love for Sleep Token
I can’t wait for you guys to now go do Sundowning and then This Place Will Become Your Tomb, all I ask is that you do the albums in order so that you can experience it correctly, YOU GUYS ROCK, really enjoyed this

Euclid is my favorite song off TMBTE and it makes me emotional every time I hear it
Here is a fun fact about this album.
"This bough has broken through" Is a callback to One EP :)

“Then stars arise, and the night is holy.”
Worship.
Dude I first discovered sleep token when this album dropped, seriously brought a tear to my eye. These guys are on another level entirely
The lyrics of "This Bough Has Broken Through" refers to his one of his old track : When The Bough Breaks.
Absolutely same bro
Can’t wait for you guys to listen to This Place Will Become Your Tomb. The first song Atlantic is so so good. So glad you enjoyed this album, i’ve been looking forward to this reaction all week.
This band truly is fucking insane. The way they put words and songs together is so unique. I’m really glad I found this band
They are absolutely unbelievable live! I saw them in Toronto at a small venue in May… just wow, and the Espera ( veselletes) sound like actual Angels
I missed that show!! I'm glad you were able to make it!
The Night Does Not Belong To God
Jaws - wires
Signs - Life
Wings won't find you heaven - Levitate
Bloodsport - Do You still believe
Blacklit - Ancient Canopies (one and only reference)
Rain - When the rain gathers
When the Bough Breaks - Broken Through
It's kinda silly but when you said "I don't want it to end" that brought me to tears, because that's how this song makes me feel. I don't want the good times to end.
the other reference was "this bough is broken through" from their song 'when the bough breaks' which is off their first EP
What a special album.. thank you guys
Watching your ST reactions are so relatable lol. I always have a new favorite song by them until I find the next one 😂
It's basically all call backs lyrically to previous songs. Beautiful. Worship☪️
Keep it up!
Are we all collectively crying??
I am not exaggerating when I say that this song, coming after all of their other incredible music, has made me feel like I'm still in this fight and that I can keep putting one foot in front of the other with a smile on my face.
this song has me crying nearly everytime i listen to it. hands down my favorite song out of any.
Hmmm.... Sleep Token are pretty good aren't they?
the best
I’m so happy that you guys did this one as it’s one of my favorites. Really beautiful.
Worship. 💜🙏🏼
