You should really check out Sleep Token. They don't conform to genres and their music is spectacular imo. the Titeltrack from their last album take me back to Eden gives a really nice impression of what they are capable of.

They are weird. Out of an album I probably like 1 or 2 songs. Talented for sure but is not for everybody and that’s ok. Is wan makes their music unique.

The talent Will Ramos brings to metal is digestible to people with different tastes through his cleans, his talent is simply incredible across the board
Yeah as everyone has said, wait to you hear Vessel sing, the lead singer of Sleep Token. He's on another level lyrically and vocally. Check out Take Me Back to Eden or Granite or for a Jazzy song Aqua Regia. Will does a great job doing his interpretation of the songs, but Vessel is king.

As an April Fool's joke, Will pretended to be Elizabeth the host of The Charismatic Voice TH-cam Channel reacting to his one take performance of Sun//Eater. On The Charismatic Voice Channel Kirk her husband also pretended to be her.
Elizabeth and Will became friends after she interviewed him on her channel in 2021. They have done two science videos on what is going on when he is doing harsh vocals. One in 2022 where they just put a small camera up his nose and down his throat, and one that just came out the end of May 2024 where they did three other tests.
I like Will, but the original track is on another level. Sleep Token are a must...

Edit: FYI they don't scream or growl NEARLY as much as Will does xD In fact the original version of Chokehold doesn't actually have any screaming that I recall. Haven't heard the song in a little bit so can't remember for sure.

A lot of techniques he uses for his harsh singing is actually used a lot in beatbox for throat bass and such
I watched a ton of reactions to To The Hellfire (hilarious watching grown men bite cushions or hide in their shirts) before I saw Will doing this cover and I was like... holy shit he screams like a demon AND sings like an angel. And his personality is so damn cute, like a puppy with ADHD. This is one of the best videos on youtube, I love it so much.

Blown away too. I had no idea Will Ramos could do this. He seems like a nice guy and I have seen him a lot on Elizabeth's reaction channel doing a lot of analyzing of scream stuff. I listen to a couple of Lorna Shore to see what it was all about and really just couldn't get into it. So I'm not really sure what prompted me tonight as I scrolled along to click on this cover of sleep token song. I was confused myself not really knowing much about sleep taken either.... Seeing their name a lot on some reaction channels ... But the second I hit the beginning of this song and heard Will's voice I just melted along with the song itself. Never heard it before either. Wow.... Again with personal preferences I am just amazed this voice has been hiding under the screaming... Like you said... "Why didn't anybody tell me"?

Will actually had his voice analysed by doctors with the use of probes on his neck. It was incredibly uncomfortable for him, as you can imagine, and it didn't necessarily go to plan. Interesting to watch non the less.

the original is great, you should however check out the other cover that Will did. (spoiler, i can't listen to the original efter i heard wills cover)
In the original they don't do the harsh vocals, but it fits will into the song. And no it's not deathcore, Sleep Token is alternative metal or mixed metal, they don't stick to a genre.

Sleep Token is cool and this song is good, but Vessel and Sleep Token are no Will Ramos. This is Wills song now. sorry fellas. Im a Metal head and i dont like deathcore, I dont like Lorna Shore, but i love Will Ramos' talent, personality, and his vocal covers solo songs and his YT/Twitch content bc he does clean vocals mixed with his screams/growls. in Lorna Shore he only scream/ growls cuz that's just what the band is. Check out his Slaugther to Prevail and other vocal covers as well. They are all fire!

Trying to watch the react but being distracted by all the disrespectful comments in the chat... wow... people talk so much about what they don't know. Will is a great guy and very talented, is hard to see so many people sayind bad things about him. There's nothing in this video saying this is a vocal playthrough, that's why is not sync, he usually drop the covers on the patreon first, and after he make a video for some of the covers if he feels like sharing publicity. If someone want to see him doing vocal playthrough, he have some of it in his TH-cam channel. He started singing with clean vocals very recently and is still learning, and he's really good at it (and becoming better on each cover). AND HE'S DOING IT BECAUSE HE LIKES IT and so we fans of him. Oh man srsly...
By the way, thank you for reacting to Will, believe me, besides his demons vocals, he's a very chill and sweetheart person ♡

You should check out his "adventure of the research of his vocals" with Elizabeth of the 'Charismatic Voice' ... bloody awesome .. they study his vocal cords etc , with a camera down his throat and all ! Really interesting.
Sleep Token - Take Me Back to Eden, you'll like it AR, even a little bit of hip hop. It does cover a wide range of his vocals.

I personally prefer this to original just because he did a edgier version. Sleep token is awesome but Will Ramos vocal diversity is literally Unbelievable. Hence why the Charismatic Voice did study on his vocal abilities. It's pretty cool and yes he watches/reacts some.
Nice vid! You should check out Veil of Maya - Mikasa. They have a perfect balance of screams and clean vocals, with incredible instumentals.

Yes. A balanced. Different things for different purposes. When I tried to listen to Lorna shore the whole thing was screaming and just shut me down somehow. Not dissing will ramos's talent and again I've seen him on with Elizabeth for a lot of different things and he's just a great guy seems as well.

I love Lorna Shore, really like SleepToken’s music but don’t care for the Lore and the masks ( I hate masks 👺😵) and all that image stuff. So for me the Will Ramos covers actually makes ST more enjoyable 🫶🏼

Personally........ I think Will sings ST songs better than Vessel. My personal opinion. I love Vessels voice, but Will's voice is incredible on so many levels, and I enjoy his versions so much more. 🤷♀️
