Lalo Salamanca…one of the most charismatic characters in the whole BB universe. What a damn performance by Tony Dalton.
Easily in my top 5 best bad guys :)
Yeah I can't wait for James to see the rest of his story. It gives me the chills when he first shows up in the taco shop even though I've seen it so many times. Lol. Truly a GREAT character.
I love the character arch of James going from having beef with Tyrus to acknowledging he’s just doing his job 😂
Hahahaha man I understand now 😂
@@JamesVSCinema He’s just a good employee showing up everyday for that paycheck!
It’s finally coming full circle
So Lalo also technically contributed to Gus' death with the bell. Got it!
He’d be happy to know that
That borderline sassy mean mug gus gives can carry an entire episode 😂😂
😭😭😭
Lalo legit never blinks and you're dead on that he "wears" the smile great performance by Tony Dalton
I think that's why noodle boxes are good for continuity. People can actually eat and you can't see inside.
Or just have nobody ever eat, like in Starwars, like Eddie Izzard remarked.:-)
But the actor would know. I would definitely find it distracting if my food portion kept magically changing. That would probably freak me the heck out. Make me question everything I knew about life and the universe.
@@brunobrauer6301 One of the first scenes in Star Wars is Luke eating breakfast with his aunt and uncle lol. Pretty sure there's at least one scene of people eating in every Star Wars movie, besides maybe Revenge Of The Sith and Rise Of Skywalker.
Lalo Salamanca is the best character in the entire Breaking Bad universe.
I could see a spinoff around him.
Agreed!!!!
'Wiedersehen' (vee-der-zeh-n) is German for 'see again' - it's commonly used as a goodbye i.e. 'auf wiedersehen.'
Lalo hasn't even done anything yet except smile and be friendly to people, and we already know he's capital-T Trouble. How 'bout that there.
In Breaking Bad when Walt and Jesse took Saul out to the desert, Saul was saying “Lalo did Lalo send you” or word to that effect.
Now we meet Lalo
Man whoever hinted at a bigger fish…. Definitely a spoiler. Felt like you saw it coming and it softened lalo’s natural development a bit imo.
I don’t understand the fun in spoiling that for him
@@zack7569 It makes them feel something, anything
@@zack7569people have no patience. spoiler culture is weird and takes away from art
Unfortunately there will always be someone who ruins it
Almost every comment last week was foreshadowing Lalo and his role. I hate when people ruin the surprise of reactors figuring out stuff on their own.
i love imagining all the lines in Nacho's head when he shrugs at Gus just GLARING at him.
"you think i give that guy orders?"
"You think i want to be here right now?!"
"Uuhhhhhhhhhh"
i can do this forever, dude
Seeing Lalo makes me so giddy lol
I usually hate those kind of IP fan service moments like “omg that’s how X got their Y!” because it’s often just a cheap pop with no real meaning.
But by Christ if BCS doesn’t pull that shit off well too. Using the bell as a fan service moment that really helps establish Lalo quickly as a sadistic fuck who thoroughly enjoys how annoying it is? It’s great stuff.
Literally JUST caught up to ep 7/8 and then saw this posted right after. Perfect!
My favorite moments in the show come from Lalo. It always surprises me that he's introduced this late into the show. You are going to love him.
Harrison Thomas, who played the loyal Lyle, also had a small but crucial role in "Banshee." Another fantastic show.
Antony Starr?
@@muhammadanas8043 Harrison Thomas played the son of the real Sheriff Hood. Starr played a character who pretended to be the Sheriff. Starr is one of my all time favorites; for "Banshee" and "The Boys."
@@jwoodard29 yeah I was asking whether it was the Antony Starr Banshee or a movie called Banseeh of Inisherin. Homelander is definitely iconic 🤙
10:14 I think this is the moment where Werner fully realizes how dangerous a job he wound up working on. Fixing a bomb is definitely a dangerous thing - but compared to the danger all around him, the danger of failing, it's nothing.
Werner finally clocked onto how serious the whole deal was when he stepped up and told Mike it was his duty to check Kai's work, despite Kai being the expert. Werner has a good heart but the weight of being responsible for his men's lives BOTH in the tunnel and in Gus'/Mikes druglord warehouse camp finally set in.
And yet he obviously still don't understand what the true danger of this work is
The Bell has a better Backstory than some Maincharacters in other Shows.
That committee was outrageous in this episode. Grieving process is different for everyone and hinging the decision whether you get your licence back on whether you can speak well of your dead brother and validate whatever dreamed up notions members of the board had about him is completely ridiculous.
Lyle is the most honest person in this world.
When they asked Jimmy who or what was the biggest influence to him when becoming a lawyer, the answer they wanted was "Chuck". When he answered "University of American Samoa" you could see her smiled faded away, because Jimmy has almost forgotten about Chuck. But they wanted him to answer differently. Surprised almost no reactor picks up on that.
The episode name “Wiedersehen” was written in yellow spray paint across a wall just like “Heisenberg” (also a German name) was written across the wall in the White’s house at the end of Breaking Bad. It’s a cool call back someone pointed out to me, can’t take credit for spotting it but it’s awesome how they make these shows
Swear these are the best reaction videos to kick back and roll a blunt to 🤣💯
Man you just changed how I’m about to watch these videos 😂
The look Gus gave Nacho.. Dear god.
And nacho is all... "Dude, I'm sorry, it's all him."
Next episode, in other words, is the absolute fucking winner. With an entire season of buildup, Winner fires on all cylinders.
By far, my absolute favorite episode of the show, and stands along side Face Off as not only my favorite BB universe, but my favorite episode in all of television!
lol at the food being ate part, Sopranos does that really well they were always eating lol
When you're an explosives technician, the most terrifying thing that can happen is nothing.
I agree with the needing to see actors eating. I think it's a list opportunity if they don't. Everyone eats differently & it helps flesh out the character just that little bit more. Most people don't notice it but that's what makes acting so cool. If a character is well-rounded, you almost don't notice those little things.
Great seeing the beginnings of Hectors bell! I just love Nacho, he’s over his head but handles it extremely well. The Salamancas are 1 crazy bunch !
It really makes the episode that introduces Jimmy in Breaking Bad where he fears Lalo so much more worrying
Lalo is the Mike of the Salamanca’s. Lethally smart and equally capable
Even though it would only cause more problems, I COMPLETELY understand Werner wanting to see his wife, even at the expense of everything else. Trying to secure that bomb scared him so much! He had to contemplate death and never having to see his wife ever again. And while he made it out, what's to say something else doesn't happen to him? What if it's something as simple as slipping and falling. Being so close to deaths door just made him want ONE MORE small moment with his wife. I feel that!
It was around now that I started to really see that this wasn't just a Saul story anymore. They really told the backstory on so much of the universe.
wow I just watched all of your better call saul's ep reactions
There’s no way I can wait a whole week for the next episode 😭
Good timing, was taking my time listening to a podcast about tv shows and despiting having fun with most of it unfortunately the hosts couldn't appreciate the masterpiece BCS is and it got me triggerrd ngl so it's good seeing someone who can appreciate lmao
The parking lot argument is one of my favourite scenes in the series both in writting and acting. Whats so good about it is that despite how Jimmy is, his nature and all, and also Kim, they're both right in what they're saying, even if they're both being unfair and harsh to eachother when the end up lashing out at eachother.
With Jimmy’s hearing I don’t think he was putting on a mask, at least that he knew of. That was him being real. He told that to Kim too
think of lalo as someone from a play... its bad luck to name the play sorry, but the main characters is called macbeth ;).
It’s awesome to finally see Lalo. It’s interesting how Vince Gilligan wasn’t sure about having Lalo even exist since it was just a name Saul Goodman said in his first appearance on Breaking Bad along with Ignacio, Nacho. But he’s completely happy the character exists on the show now and so am I. He’s truly one of the most interesting characters in this universe and also seeing Jimmy being told he’s “always down” by Kim after he mentions “Kick a man when he’s down” really hurts. I mean, it likely would have regardless, but it being said by Kim really stings. Great reaction James, hope you’re doing well. Take care!
Nacho is probably the unsung hero that had a big hang in the start of destroying the Salamanca’s.
Lalo is not insane. He just really, _really_ loves his job.
Way back in breaking bad where walt and jesse kidnap Saul and he is in front of that open grave Saul asks "did Lalo send you"?
it’s quite awesome that you have friends that look like kim and lalo what are the odds😂
I really like little details in shows and movies and this show and BB were so good with the Easter eggs and details....
Note jimmy wearing a “warren buffet” t shirt - little nod to an Easter egg in the final episode…
8:47 In a way, it's more terrifying that Werner is doing this. He is the expert and probably knows better than any of them, the damage it could do to him.
Nacho's "get the Salamancas out of my life" schemes... not going so well.
Heh, the lady thought he would steal her purse. No, but he he is more than a but a criminal, so she tell still read him right.
“Littering a the worst thing he could’ve done” remember those words

Much love!
The title is German and it's pronounced like "VEE-der-zayn". It basically means "until we meet again/goodbye".
Say hello to Slippin Kimmy.
Just when I thought I'd seen every disgusting horrific crime against humanity in the BB-verse, they have to give us littering.
My man said "Winderschichzen" sounds like a disease 🤣
Lalo is a force of nature man... You think twins are bad? Then you ain't ready for Lalo boss.
James don’t read this spoilers!!
15:18 “he just littered, that’s the worst thing he could have ever done”
Well… about that…
Lalo, Lalo, Lalo. The charm and malignant malevolence of Gus, and the wild psychopathy of Tuco. What a guy!
Lalo is such a great character
To be honest, I was kind of wishing Sherley would have caught them in the parking lot. Kim without the crutches and all.
It's Kim's "Breaking Bad" arc.
Anti-Gus Lalo has taken center stage.
Auf Wiedersehen
lalo salamanca is one of the best characters ever, HE'S CRAZY but charismatic
Why don’t the Salamacas have Hector at the ranch instead of in a nursing home ?
(Auf) Wiedersehen is goodbye in German and is pronounced vee-de-zeyn
I've been curious how you would react to the building the superlab storyline. Watching it week to week when it first aired I didn't find it compelling. My sense from the fan base is similar.
Wiedersehen means goodbye i think
Wee-der-sayn
when and if you do the SOPRANOS. you WILL 👀 some food being eaten !
People not eating their food is just terrible!
I only knew Tony Dalton from the mexicans soap opera Rebelde and he made an evil character lol
20:35 the answer to that question is probably the punch line of the series. The writers heard your question from the great grand beyond and decided to make a nuclear bomb to answer it.
chill
Man people really can't help themselves with stuff like this 😂
Maybe its just cuz i took German for 2 years but its wild to me that you don't know how to pronounce Weidersehen (vee-der-zayn) its like one of the most common german words lol
Werner
Zieeeegler
😎
Godzilla Minus One is on Netflix now, you should really watch it James. It will blow your mind.
Saw it in theaters! :)
@@JamesVSCinema WHAT!!?? Do you love it?
Lalo time.
pronounced VEE-der-say-en. It's German for goodbye.
pronounced "Veeder-Sen"
Wienerschnitzel
"these two are so good for each other"
yikes...that will age very poorly lol
