The black and white scenes are what happened after Breaking Bad. Saul is on the run at this point in time. The rest of the show is before the events of Breaking Bad.
This is such an amazing show. Seeing his journey from Jimmy McGill to Saul Goodman is quite a ride. I also love the black and white scenes shown in the beginning of the season to show his life after Breaking Bad, as he told Walter in their last conversation that if he’s lucky, he’d be managing a Cinnabon in Omaha 6 months after he disappeared. Great to see you guys watch this show. Take care!
I not only live in Abq, I live next door to Saul's Omaha apartment building. Not only do I live next door to his Omaha apartment building, you can see my balcony at 4:04 on the left edge of the screen!!! I moved in a year after they filmed this, but I did watch them film three scenes for season 5.
The first season is a touch on the slow side, but it is so worth it! Especially since you two can get through it fairly quick and don't have to wait for new seasons like we did.
This entire show's just a slow burn until the last half season or whatever. But just gets better and better and better with every episode all the way to the end. Just like Breaking Bad!
First there are exciting episodes throughout the entire series but seasons 3-6 are amazing. Since they already watched the whole series already I hope they upload several episodes a week.
Love your reactions! You two have become another some of my favorite reactors on TH-cam! Looking forward to you watching this whole series! Also, BJ, the movie you asked where Jimmy is looking at himself in the mirror in the bathroom preparing for his case is from “All That Jazz” (1979), a classic film starring Roy Scheider. Another fact is, what I got from other commenters, club soda doesn’t clean salsa off a carpet, but it can clean off blood. I somehow believe Tuco’s grandmother knew it was blood from the skateboarders. I mean, after all,she IS a Salamanca.
Just to let everyone know this was finished on patreon last year. So the full series reaction is available there if you can't wait for more. Same with Stranger Things and future series uploads.
So glad you guys started watching Better Call Saul. One of the greatest prequel (And occasion sequel) series of all time. Season 1 is a bit of a slow burn, but the later seasons is what truly make the BSC great. 👍
I haven’t read all the comments, so I don’t know if anyone’s addressed this but the quote, “It’s show time”, is from the movie, All That Jazz. A movie about famed choreographer, Bob Fosse.
Fun fact: I lived in Cicero IL, when the Capone hotel was still up. It was a corrupt town run by the mob, there were hookers and strip clubs everywhere. Western electric was big business and everyone in town practically worked there. It was a wild place for a kid. I grew up there til I moved to the burbs. If you've seen the movie Wayne's world, Scatchells hot dog stand has been in Cicero since the 70s.
This show has some of the best writing and the best storyline of any TV series. I liked it as much or more than breaking bad. Genius plot lines and writing!!!! You guys definitely are on the right track with your theories. Just watch it unfold. 👍👍👍
I've been so looking forward to this!! BJ be prepared to be addicted again just like you were with Breaking Bad. And stay tuned you'll see a few more familiar faces...I'm so excited for this series!!
oh my gosh!! I am only discovering that you are watching this wonderful show 2 months later. I never thought you were going to watch it since so much time had passed since you watched BB. So excited to watch your reactions!
The producers of 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better call Saul' were also the producers for the X-Files. Several actors from the X-Files are in BB and BCS. The actors who play Walter White, Jessie Pinkman, Chuck McGill, Hank Scrader
So many good series to watch, so little time! Well…. I’m retired so I guess I do have the time to watch you two ! 😁😉 Keep on going! We’ll keep on watching👍
I love watching how confused you guys were! It is confusing at the start, but stick with it!! It gets better. The way they tell the story is so compelling. I went from thinking "it's good but not as good as Breaking Bad" to thinking it's as good, maybe even better than Breaking Bad!
People call the 1st season slow, but i still enjoy the heck out of it. Has such fun scenes and intriguing set up, especially for new characters like Chuck, Nacho and Kim
This is great for me. BCS captivated me unlike any other TV show. It's a slower show than BB, but ultimately the psychology of the characters is much more intriguing. This show also requires a fair amount of homework to understand how it weaves into the Breaking Bad universe.
At 13:14 and 14:20 when Jimmy's yelling in the boardroom, he's quoting the movie Network (not a spoiler to say you'll learn that Jimmy's a big movie buff). You two are great!
I am so glad to see I wasn't the only person who when they started watching this series was half the time like "Huh? What just happened?" Both the wife and me did that pretty much all the way through the series and loved every minute of it.
Such an amazing show! Different than Breaking Bad, but with the same Vince Gilligan brilliance. The cast is exceptional, especially Rhea Seehorn. Looking forward to watching you guys enjoy this series.
You have to be observant with this show. Even with the intro that differs from episode to episode, and the music that cuts off. Maybe a reason? Love that you are doing this too!
Lets goo. I got into this show and I think it does a great job at telling Saul Goodmans story whilst also being at the level of Breaking Bad. Incredible for a spinoff.
That nail salon with his office in the back is the same one he later tries to sell to Jesse for money laundering. "It's showtime!" is from Beetlejuice.
Tbh I haven't finished watching Breaking Bad, I watched the first couple of seasons years ago n I stopped. Recently tho I watched Better call Saul, kinda binged on it, it was awesome. Being a bit more familiar with this "universe" it's better as some recurrent familiar faces are in both shows. Looking forward to join you on this journey
Well I just caught up on Breaking Bad, glad this one was up as well. Wasn't sure if you checked out El Camino yet, but this one is a great show as well. Bob Odenkirk is very entertaining and he's had a hand in quite a bit.
Did you guys ever watch "El Camino" (Breaking Bad movie that picks up where the final episode of BB left off) that shows what happens w/ Jesse (Pinkman)? It's good!
Awesome you guys are reacting to this, just know its a slow burn compared to BB the first few seasons, then stuff picks up. Its not bad per se, but more a character study- it gets really good though. Also, you two should react to Schindler's List-its arguably the best historical movie of our time but the most important. Cheers from Buffalo.
The show is a bit slow at first but it really picks up imo around season 3/4. In general its not as fast paced as breaking bad, its a bit slower, but I think it really dives into the characters and their development. I LOVE NACHO!!!
The black and white scenes are what happened after Breaking Bad. Saul is on the run at this point in time. The rest of the show is before the events of Breaking Bad.
Remember Saul said to Walt "In 6 months, best case scenario Im managing a cinnabun in Omaha"
Careful what you say..
Ooooo I can’t wait to follow this journey!!! Much love, guys!!! ✌🏼✌🏼
BCS is amazing. Im a Day 1 BB viewer and I like BCS more. Im here for all of this.
Asia's reaction to Tuco!! BJ looks so concerned but Asia's laughing so hard. Too funny y'all, I'm SO looking forward to this series
You just made me more hyped to watch rn. This gon be good
I'm so glad you guys are back with BCS, just finished Soprano's with you and I was getting withdrawel symptoms!
Nacho is a great character. He was mentioned in Breaking Bad when Walt and Jessie had Saul in the desert with a gun on him.
Saul also mentioned another name.
Tuco also mentioned Nacho in Breaking Bad
@@Head-ck4huLalo?
"It wasn't me, it was Ignacio [Nacho]! He's the one! Siempre soy amigo del cartel! Lalo didn't send you? No Lalo? Oh, thank God!"
omg...this is gonna be amazing. it starts very slow though, so give it time to burn.
Yes but it pays off oh so well
@@JK.47 if someone said they liked "Better..." more than "Breaking..." I couldn't argue with them.
@@independenceltd. They compliment each other so well but s4-6 especially are definitely up there with best TV episodes ever.
Better Call Saul. LOVED this Phenomenal series. Thanks Asia and BJ for sharing your experience with us.
When you finished the Sopranos I thought I was out…then you pullllled me back in.
This show gets better and better. As good as Breaking Bad eventually.....
The first season is a touch on the slow side, but it is so worth it! Especially since you two can get through it fairly quick and don't have to wait for new seasons like we did.

Sweet! I wasn't expecting this from you guys but you're going to love Better Call Saul. Sit back and enjoy 6 seasons of pure television greatness!
Love your reactions! You two have become another some of my favorite reactors on TH-cam! Looking forward to you watching this whole series!

Color is before Breaking Bad, Black and white is after Breaking Bad
Better than breaking bad I dare say
WOW what a treat, Asia and BJ! I can't wait to start this new series with you... I'm so excited!!!! 🎉
❤Yay! I love this show. All the back stories on Tico, Mike, Saul of course and Gus. This is gonna be fun rewatching with y'all.
Well I just screamed with absolute joy. How did I not know you were watching this???
I love this show just as much if not more than Breaking Bad.
YAY!!!! I’m so excited to see this come to your TH-cam channel. This is my favorite series of all time!
Asia, "I wonder how he ended up at Cinnabon?" .. Yep, enjoy the journey! :D
Actually, that specifoc part they already know ;) 😅
BB quote, when he was in the vacuum disappearing guy's basement with Walt: "Best case scenario, I end up managing a Cinnabon in Omaha."
I haven’t read all the comments, so I don’t know if anyone’s addressed this but the quote, “It’s show time”, is from the movie, All That Jazz. A movie about famed choreographer, Bob Fosse.

I watch these just to see y'all laugh and have fun.
Chuck is Jimmy's older brother . You just met Nacho . This is gonna be a long ride . Well worth it .

OMG this show is so good. That super slow... ramp up.. ramp up... till.. well.. you'll see.
The producers of 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better call Saul' were also the producers for the X-Files.
Several actors from the X-Files are in BB and BCS.
The actors who play Walter White, Jessie Pinkman, Chuck McGill, Hank Scrader
Check out a movie that he stars in titled :
“NOBODY”
very clever and a ton of action!! He is so good and SO cool in it!! He does a great job!!

Ms Asia you and me both laughing so hard.. they tried to make a come up on the wrong one for real Tuco 😂
Better Call Saul is so good! I like it better than Breaking Bad. The first couple episodes were slow, but then I couldn’t stop watching.
I’m so happy you two are watching BCS! It rivals Breaking Bad as best show of all time for me. Can’t wait to go on this journey with you all!
Tuco's abuelita is the actresse that plays Tony Montanas mom in Scarface. Vince Gilligan is the biggest Scarface fan.
Here we go now. This is a series I’m on board for!!!
This is gonna be such an awesome journey!! Glad I'm here for it. BCS is equally if not better than BB.
People call the 1st season slow, but i still enjoy the heck out of it. Has such fun scenes and intriguing set up, especially for new characters like Chuck, Nacho and Kim
If any one missed it, this starts in the shows timeline, in May 2002. Breaking Bad starts in 2007-8 in that show's timeline.
Saul, Mike, Nacho, and mystery man. The 4 smartest guys in this entire series... I'll let you guys discover who the mystery man is lol!! So excited!!
Been waiting for this!
I have been waiting for you guys to react to the Better Call Saul series. This is going to be a fun ride watching your reactions to this series.
*You all are in for a ride! This is a very very good series*

Hell yeah guys I’m so glad to see this!
😎 This is great show ✔️ Thank You Asia & BJ for reacting ⭐
Betsy is at the extreme end of the crazy hot matrix. Right up my street
I'm here for this. Great show!
Y’all have been posting bangers lately keep it up, y’all’s Patreon knows what’s up.
YES was wondering if y’all would do the beginning!! ❤️❤️❤️
I am so glad to see I wasn't the only person who when they started watching this series was half the time like "Huh? What just happened?" Both the wife and me did that pretty much all the way through the series and loved every minute of it.
Oh this 'bout to be a fun ride with y'all! lol
Such an amazing show! Different than Breaking Bad, but with the same Vince Gilligan brilliance. The cast is exceptional, especially Rhea Seehorn. Looking forward to watching you guys enjoy this series.
Interested to hear your thoughts on Chuck once it's revealed exactly what he is "suffering" from.
License plate "LAWYER UP!!!!"
You have to be observant with this show. Even with the intro that differs from episode to episode, and the music that cuts off. Maybe a reason? Love that you are doing this too!
This series is the joint. From start to finish. Feel like it matches up to Breaking Bad. Your excitement for it is palpable ❤️❤️🙏
In Saul's final episode of BB, he said "with any luck, this time next year, I will be managing a Cinnabon" to Walter in the basement hideout.
Havent seen you much since you did breaking bad. But now you're back like you never left :)
38:49 “It’s showtime.” This is from the film _All That Jazz_ from 1979.
Lol, as an 80's kid, even though I was born in 1977, I think of Beetlejuice from 1988 when I hear "It's showtime!". 😊
20:27 I love the choice to have his "Thank you" be silent.
Jimmy seems to think Chuck's illness is related to him being "slippin Jimmy".
I got hooked the first reveals of Mike and Tuco.

Oh snap let’s go!!!! Love y’all I’m so ready for this!!!!
Well I just caught up on Breaking Bad, glad this one was up as well. Wasn't sure if you checked out El Camino yet, but this one is a great show as well. Bob Odenkirk is very entertaining and he's had a hand in quite a bit.
We're there? Awesome! Enjoy guys! I'm gonna have some thoughts!
Keep in mind this is before Breaking Bad. Where looking at Saul’s past when he was Jimmy. Chuck is allergic to electricity.
What a pleasant surprise :D
😂My favorite reaction ever because Asia says
" what the f***"!
@ 10:03
I`m here for this journey!
Yay!
Did you guys ever watch "El Camino" (Breaking Bad movie that picks up where the final episode of BB left off) that shows what happens w/ Jesse (Pinkman)? It's good!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Better Call Saul!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The next couple of months are going to be great. Great choice guys. 👍
Season 1 and 2 are kinda slow, but it picks up and gets more exciting and ties in. Also watch "El Camino" with Jesse that takes place right after B.B.
Actually guys, you prolly should of started El Camino 1st, then Better call Saul, but either way maybe you can check that out also
YES!!!! IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!!!!!! Tonight's dynamic duo doubleheader: (1) Asia&BJ (2) Kai&Luka. TWO SWEEPS IN THE WORKS!!!!!!

I LOVE NACHO!!!
different but the same, same but different. So happy y'all are reacting...
They're on the outer edge, north, of the huge Chihuahuan Desert.
Woohoo! Thanks you guys! ❤
Back on the case the top Lawyer in state of new Mexico this is his story thank you for your pick
Best lawyer. for all Non-law abiding citizens.
I'm slightly concerned that you were wondering how he ended up at a Cinnabon because Breaking Bad was that story... this is before BB
Ooo girl yall are gonna love this show
Chuck always says to ground yourself to get rid of a static electricity I believe not have anything with a battery or metal
