@@GARCATCH_ Whats wrong with that? A Gus origin series would be amazing and Gilligan has proven he can make a brilliant spinoff i along with many others would love to see it happen
@@cezero5990 little much? His existence was sporadic in both series. His character has WAY more background material to work with than Saul Goodman did and Gilligan just created a spinoff that is every bit as good as the original. Sure hope he's not as narrow minded as you.
@@Ryley280 I don't think it's narrow-minded to say the Breaking Bad universe has had it's day and even if the crew responsible for that COULD (and they definitely could) make another fantastic series, should they? Mining out every little detail for every possible character would only serve to ruin the world that they've built in my opinion.
That three-character reading segment is just soooo lovable! I love appreciating his transitions between vibes and aura. God Giancarlo interprets people so accurately.
Hearing Gian speak is just amazing. I don’t usually get into the whole celebrity scenes but listening to how he speaks and even watching deleted scenes and bloopers from his work, I can see how hard he works and how invested he gets into the characters he plays. This needs more views.
I think there would be room for much exploration with a Gus Fring spinoff. Remember when we first met Gus in Breaking Bad a flashback showed that he was heartbroken and driven by the murder of Max Arciniega, Gus was capable of love and compassion, which combined with his calculating ruthlessness and patience in planning would make him a fascinating character to explore.
There are a million word I could use to describe how amazing this show is but to sum it up the breaking bad universe is brilliant. I'm so pumped for the final season of saul. I just rewatched season 1-5 and I can't wait for the 2 episode season premiere.
I would love to see Giancarlo and Titus Welliver in the same show. Their similar facial expressions and voices and body language would mingle and morph and it would be riveting. A good vs evil thing. Would be great!
rich eisen talking film/shows, should occur more, the crossover from the sports world and the acting world is fun, even when the actors dont know much about sports like Rhea, makes it funny at points tbh lol
16:59 This may not be true but it's insane if he intentionally combine a little bit of Los pollos Gus and a little bit of Drug Warlord Gus to create this completely new persona for Moff Gideon. A voice that is loud, righteous, and makes you nervous of making mistakes in front of him all at once.
I know Esposito can't answer questions like, "how does Better Call Saul end?" or how does a certain character fare? What I would like to hear is, do the producers film different takes and script changes intentionally so even the actors don't know how a show/character will turn out? And the only ones that do know are the producers and the editors? Any film industry veterans out there want to comment?
Yeap, when Saul goes to Pollos undercover, for Mike - he was observing one of Gus' dudes inside the restaurant. Gus even helped Saul find his "missing" watch inside the trash haha 😊
Poor interviewers don't seem to understand that the audience doesn't give a damn about them. Bad interviewers talk far too much. Just shut up. The audience wants to hear the person being interviewed. Eisen is a terrible interviewer. How much better this would've been if Dan Patrick had interviewed him.
I'd love to see a Gus spin off. The episode with the Gus's memorial gave me hope.
The actor is too old now, they’d have to use de aging cgi

After seeing Gus in Better Call Saul AND Breaking Bad wouldn't another spin-off be a little much? Less is more sometimes.

I've been a fan of Giancarlo since I saw him in The Usual Suspects. His charisma is off the charts
Since Homicide LOTS did it for me.
We just rewatched Saul season 5. Just great tv. And it's 60 feet.😄

One of the best. Such a classy dude too.
Giancarlo is so great in the role.

Met him at Pensacon last February. Such a nice and down to earth person
4:00 a Gustavo Fring prequel is necessary as far as ties to the cartel even the Chilean flashbacks would be epic.

Giancarlo Esposito is very versatile man. The rise of gus would be amazing.
Can't wait for more scenes of Gus and Lalo together in this final season. It's going to be some kind of finish.
Sort of a letdown huh
I've been a fan of Giancarlo since Trading Places.
How Fring new to plant the gun in the lab shows how smart he is and how he has everything planned.
love the way you diversify with you're guest!! Loveit🏅🥇👍👏
He was in Taps in 1981. He also got electrocuted by a video game in Maximum Overdrive.

@Michael Jurek I thought I heard they did that for Breaking Bad, filmed a couple different endings
make him read it a 4th time as Adam Clayton from Godfather of Harlem 🤣
Versatile actor...how great
