  • Learn how to design, slice, 3D print, and assemble a lithophane light box with LithophaneMaker.com, and be sure to use the BEST and ONLY filament formulated for lithophanes from americanfilament.us/. These 3D printable lithophanes are a great gift for just about anyone, and it's easy to turn any image into an stl of the lithophane light box with my lithophane generator.
The tool lets you use many different light sources, but the light socket I used can be found here: amzn.to/2FOARUB

Thanks for Designing this awesome lithophane lightbox. I just made one it only took 49 hours and 45 minutes, LOL. But it turned out awesome thank you so much. So it would be nice if you design a box in pieces so we could make it a little bit at a time. And Slide the flat lithophane in it. Maybe make it with five photos and a sliding top, then you could put a wireless LED Puck Light in it. Again thank you very much for all of your time and efforts put into your designs.

    1. Do you have your cura profile to download

Great work. I was wondering if the sides that don't have a picture could be separate so that we don't have to do 100% infill on those. It would save like 6-12 hours of print time. So basically a box with 4 sides should be the long pic print. Thanks

The first time standing up and it fell over, the second time laying down but the quality wasn’t as good, the third time I printed it standing up with a large raft to keep it upright. It came out wonderful! Now I’m trying to find the proper light bulb. I’ve tried multiple bulbs but they all seem too bright and my last one started melting and warping the box.

It prints one or two layers fine and I come back like 8 hours later and the print is still on the second layer as if the z axis didn’t move up. I have a lamp socket that fits, but it’s loose. Do I push it I. Further? Does not seem like it will do that without breaking it.

Does tightening the bulb onto the socket make it work for you? It has to be a little loose for the socket to for in the hole.
