    Masks as cookie cutters… this is probably the first time ever that masks have really made sense to me. I usually avoid them but not anymore. Thanks so much!

      comp:GetPrefs("Comp.FrameFormat.Width") and comp:GetPrefs("Comp.FrameFormat.Height") can be used for more flexibility instead of hard coding Width and Height

    now THAT was a perspective altering tutorial for fusion motion graphics! god damn! i was getting the impression fusion wasnt as powerful as it actually is from other tutorials and you just blew that suspicion out the water!

      @@WilliamJusticeMedia I just couldn't install the macro. Resolve 16 can't find it when I put it in the suggested folder. Or is it Resolve 17 only?

      @@allestoll397 This one should work on resolve 16. Are you on mac? There is a download issue i am looking at.. The file does not download with the correct file extention. If you go to my website, and fill out the contact form. Let me know which one you are trying to download and I can send you the .setting file...Not sure that will fix it, but it did work for someone else that was having the same issue.

      @@WilliamJusticeMedia In 3D node I was looking at the Material ID and tried the "Override3D" node, I entered a "blur" and with a Bitmap I passed the material ID so I only blur that object. I saw that the Override3D node can do many things, do you know them? Could you do a tutorial on using this node, I don't find much material to learn. Thank you

    Super cool stuff. I love that you put it all in a macro to not have to animate simultaneously through several nodes. So much more convenient.
    There's one little, but very neat thing that isn't mentioned in the video. It is also possible to use the shapeshifter output as a mask for a new media_in node. So you could for example do all kinds of crazy transitions. Like starting with small shapes swirling around and growing until the whole screen is solidly covered, completing the transition.       Yeah.. that's a great thought. i had a part in this video about using the shape shifter as a mask like that, but the video was getting a bit long so I took it out. It might be worth revisiting the macro with some other uses such as transitions! Thanks for watching..

      Hey Simon, let me know if you figure it out and if you are able to make anything interesting with it. Think there are lots of possibilities...I got all kinds of interesting animations with random shapes and playing with the settings.
