  • In today's tutorial we're doing the Morph Transformation effect in DaVinci Resolve 16 using the free version. This simple morph uses the optical flow feature in DaVinci Resolve to generate new frames to create a simple and natural transformation for basic images via the smooth cut effect.
    Download Davinci Resolve for Free: www.blackmagicdesign.com/prod...
    Notes:
    This is a about as simple as it gets for morphs, but with that in mind I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the results especially given how fast it can be done.
    As a side note I'm currently having some computer issues so that why no fusion effects were used in today's video as I just couldn't get things to render out. For those who follow it I always put my sub count at time of render at the end. Honestly just as a reference for me to look back and see how this community has grown but it just wasn't working this time, so the number was 806 which I find is incredible. We're not far off from 1,000 which I find pretty crazy.
    On another note for those who read through the description as a heads up I'm fast approaching a deadline for a big editing job and free time is becoming less and less available so I may need to slow down to 1 video per week just for the next month or so. If I do I'll be sure to make an announcement in a video I just thought it'd be a good idea to give you a heads up.

    This is one you can really get creative with and I'm already doing tests for a more advanced version of this effect. Thank you so much for your support we're not far off from 1k subs I find that pretty crazy. As always more info and references available in the description.

    Does it work as well if the fruits where displayed on a turning table? That would be freaking awesome if it did.

    this is awesome content. How long it take you to know the ins and out of davinci resolve? There's so much to learn!

      Thank you. I made the jump to resolve about 2 years ago. Before that I had been using the Adobe suite for a few years.

      Could, I'm thinking you'd maybe wanna mask around the area a bit, but I could see it working.

    skintones look so unnatural

  • @MadDog-dn5st
    @MadDog-dn5st หลายเดือนก่อน

    He could of just told you about it straight up but instead chose to drag it out, demonstrate other methods that don't work, etc...

    • @NathanCarterVids
      @NathanCarterVids  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MadDog-dn5st yeah who likes learning different methods anyway? 😉 the intent was to show how things worked so you'd understand the concept and not just repeat what I show, so when you inevitably encounter a situation in your own work that slightly differs from what I'm showing, you'll have the knowledge to figure it out.
