So much that if they're not from a big company with lots of money to promote, already have popular members from survival shows, or just get lucky enough to have a viral song, its hard for them to make it. Its very competitive.
I am still not over them disbanding. I love that Hanse is thriving. And Wooya has a new album out. But Subin hasn't been given work in so long. It makes me so sad. Their company should have done better. But Subin was featured on one of Wooyas songs!!

I've only been keeping up with hanse since he has been my bias for the longest. And he really is doing well and is happy and thriving everytime i check insta his followers are sky rocking and new ppl start joing him. And I really haven't seen subin much now that I think about it
I miss my babies SO, SO MUCH. Their label did them SO dirty. After PX101 & the success of "Nostalgic Night", their label should've pushed them HARDER than they did and unfortunately, they didn't. Yes, they were successful, but could've done way more. They completely dropped the ball on them. They were SO underrated and made AMAZING music. I hate their label so much for how they did them. I will forever be an ALICE & will continue to support the boys' individual activities!
As an Alice, I remember thinking after Choice that something felt wrong. Off. With Seungwoo gone from so many comebacks and With his and Hanse's solos taking off so well, Sejun immediately moving to musicals right before he enlisted, and so many other things I just had a feeling that Choice was it. And while Choice was such a good album, it's not a proper goodbye. I only got to be their fan for 2 years (What I Said, my queen) so I'm always torn up over their disbanding. Like so many other legends they didn't even get to say goodbye.
i got to know about them in january 2021 when youtube suggested victon's live showcase and i was shocked bc i've never heard about them while these boys had everything - excellent vocals, rap, dance, visuals. and mvs were also great. but thats another story of a group from a small company that had talent and hard work but had no money and deserved promotion along with the reluctance of kpop fans to pay attention to groups that are not from the big4 : /
They debuted around the same time as WannaOne and then their company was a bit of a mess (so many name changes and mergers). Sadly even the K general public in general just stopped paying attention to idol groups from 3rd gen onwards. Unless you were from a "big 4" company and got to ride on the coattails of more famous sunbaes, or went on a Mnet survival program, there was no way the public would pay attention to you. I always felt like if they had debuted earlier they may have stood a better chance....who knows....
While Victon's situation seems close to a disbandment, I just hope that it is clear to everyone in here that there was NO official announcement that Victon has disbanded. Since their useless company likes being vague, I would like to think that this is a long, long, hiatus again. Members are hopeful that they would reunite one day. If you follow them, you would know that they do keep in touch (Subin even participated in Seungwoo's new song). I know non-fans would not care but to the members and Alices, it's kind of hurtful to hear people saying that they disbanded so I hope it stops.
Victon is my ult group, i'm just so upset that I got here way too late. I never experienced them happy together. I have starting stanning them in april last year. I hope all the members are successful in their own projects.
It's really a shame they didn't make it bigger as individually they're all talented. Their song What I Said is just brilliant, one of my favourite Kpop songs of all time. Seungsik has such a good voice, and is just so lovely as a person too, and Sejun and Hanse I just love. Not everyone can make it I guess but with Victon it's really a shame. I genuinely don't get K-Pop & New Singers Era... The singing is so-so, the dancing is so-so, not to mention a heap loads of Drama. What's even worse is the fact that majority of them is more focusing on "Dancing" rather than "Singing" and they entirely focus on how they "Look & Style" rather than actual "Singing" Part. I feel like new generation of Singers care more about the right tone for their hair colors rather than the right tone for their vocals. If you break them down one by one... None of them could ever filled 1 quarter of a shoe for any of Vocal Trinity (Celine, Mariah & Whitney). Just like how I don't get Taylor Swift being as famous as she is... I mean, I do enjoy "Teardrops on my Guitar" but that's about it.
Their music was better than most, it had nothing to do with that. They wouldve had their first win with time of sorrow back in 2015 if it wasnt for bts comeback after billboard awards. Their company went through many messy structural changes and their CEO was a lying pos. However one thing he never cheapened is their music and production. They were put on two hiatus lasting 1.5 years each in their barely 7 years career and their rise happened during covid when they had to cancel their tours and couldnt promote. Also they had a disadvantage because of X1 disbanding that gave them a wave of absolutely feral anti fans and nothing else.
They have a pretty decent discography actually. I really liked Time of Sorrow and Remember Me. If they had the right company and timing they could have at least been a mid-tier group without having to send Seungwoo and Byungchan to PDX101. Even the top idol groups from 1st and 2nd gen have admitted that it does take a bit of luck to succeed (and hardly surprising most of them are from the "big 3" companies). Victon unfortunately didn't have the good fortune of being with a stable company that has a massive budget or connections. Didn't help that their early years coincided with WannaOne and BTS basically conquering the world.
Chan Left Because He Got Caught Up With A DUI & Hanse, Subin & Byungchan Didn’t Renew Their Contract, Yes They Probably May Come Back In The Future Ofc Without Chan But As Of Now It’s Not Looking Like That Because Of No Exposer Or Anything, People Barely While Hardly Knows About VICTON. I Was Broken Once I Found Out About Everything Continued To Support Hanse Solo Career But After That I Let Them Go Cause It Was Too Much Like Seeing Them On Their Own Made Me Emotional, Although For Some Reason I Felt Like They Wouldn’t Last & That’s Not Good To Say But Hopefully In The Future We See Things With Them.

Chan Left Because He Got Caught Up With A DUI & Hanse, Subin & Byungchan Didn’t Renew Their Contract, Yes They Probably May Come Back In The Future Ofc Without Chan But As Of Now It’s Not Looking Like That Because Of No Exposer Or Anything, People Barely While Hardly Knows About VICTON. I Was Broken Once I Found Out About Everything Continued To Support Hanse Solo Career But After That I Let Them Go Cause It Was Too Much Like Seeing Them On Their Own Made Me Emotional, Although For Some Reason I Felt Like They Wouldn’t Last & That’s Not Good To Say But Hopefully In The Future We See Things With Them.
