I installed this exact mag release…did not like it so I put the original back on. I went to a conceal carry class and we did drills all day. My fingers kept hitting the release and the mag would begin to slip out…many, many times. To clarify, I’ve been shooting handguns for over 40 years so I kinda’ know how to shoot. The original release is too close to the frame so the mag will not freely release (like a Glock). Unfortunately, this mag release is too big, at least for me. Good luck to all!

This MCarbo extended mag release button is listed at $44.95 on sale! I got a very similar extended mag release button from Armory Craft 2 weeks ago for $31.99. 😁

M*Carbo is One-Of-A-Kind by extending the magazine release button to the rear of the firearm for the easiest accessible magazine release on the market!
That feature added machining difficulty and machining time, resulting in higher cost.

Totally different ergonomics, so I’d gladly pay $13 more for the Mcarbo.

So to anybody that has installed their trigger, what was your solution for the safety lever that doesn't sit flush anymore? Alter the trigger bar? File the slide cap? Even though this is a well-known and widespread issue, macarbo hasn't cared enough to attempt to fix it, nor do they care enough to reply to people when you try to get a hold of them.

Same thing happened to me on my Xmacro. Couldnt get the slide back on. Found you can either grind down some of the tip frint of the new trigger or take a little bit off the bottom right of the slide cap.
Shouldnt have to do either though.

Will this extended mag release button work on a Wilson Combat grip module?

@@jasonhill1130I’m the one in the video, we just updated the website listing. The plastic detent is different but the mating part is the same, it actually feels very good on the macro just slightly less extension since it is a thicker grip

Just installed it. Not good instructions imo. Sore fingers and lots cussing and 20 minutes later got it finally. Push in and back? Some close ups in the video and more clear instructions are needed if your average mechanical ability imo.

The tip of the tool has to push into the plastic part to release it. This is done pushing the flat tip into the frame and back into the OEM magazine release to liberate the plastic detent. When do it the first time, it can sometimes be slightly more complicated but the process is the same

@@AlvaroEspejoAbela I don’t know but I inserted it in there all way like 20 times before getting it apart. Putting back was little easier but took several tries as have to have that small piece in right way

@@F.S.111 I had some issues too, and was bending the tip of the tool at first. Another video out there uses the other method (using a SIM card tool). I didn't use that method, but they do show an already removed magazine release and what the removal action is accomplishing. That, in conjunction with this method here, helped me understand a bit more how magazine releases work in general and the "push in and back" method Alvaro is demonstrating. It is like pushing the pin in and "scooping" up.

Sorry guys, that little tool was just useless to me. I saved myself some time and effort by just using an exacto blade. Thanks for providing that tool but it really needs some reworking and the video can also be more descriptive.

I can’t understand your issues with the SIMM card tool to remove the detent from the mag release button. Granted I used my iPhone tool not the M*Carbo tool, but with two or three little pumps the detent popped right out. Easy-peasy!

It does not fit the Mischief Machine Commander grip. It’s also stuck inside the grip and won’t come out. This is very upsetting.
