- Recorded 15 years ago today - July 26th, 2006. "The Ísafjörður show turns out to be quite difficult for the band in the crazy small confines of the hall, but is received rousingly well by another collection of the curious and the, well, curious. The undoubted highlight of the evening is the parade during Se Lest, for which tonight the Horny Brasstards are joined by the Ísafjörður town band. The twenty or so players dressed in their royal blue uniforms march from stage left and out through the crowd to a huge ovation.
Later, the all-ages band will march through the town, up and down the main street and down to the water’s edge. Getting into the spirit of things Jónsi grabs a trombone, Kjartan a trumpet and Orri what I’m told is a sousaphone although to me it looks like a tuba. Their pitiful efforts are widely photographed by the local media and the next day a picture in Fréttablaðið will be captioned as Orri playing the oboe - I may be wrong, but I’m not that wrong. Jónsi meanwhile manages to separate the two halves of his trombone through his over-enthusiasm and has to give it back shame-faced to Ingi for reconstruction." - John Best - เพลง

15 years gone, in the blink of an eye, we all grow older as this album grows ever graceful!
Legend has it, that the band is still playing/walking around Iceland.
There are very few things in life that are unequivocally beautiful.. this is one.
It's such a joy to hear this song. It is one of my most loved song from the band.
When I heared your song at first in my life, I had a hair. And now, I have nothing.
Oh my god how beautiful, this is my favorite song of theirs and although the chances were low I KNEW deep in my heart there would be at least one live version with a whole brass section and everything. I'll never forget hearing this song the first time, being surprised from the brass section and then proceeding to bob my head like a maniac.
I‘ll go to Iceland next week. I think i will just listen to this in Isafjordur and have a good cry…💕
I saw them last night in Amsterdam, performing this song together with the London Contemporary Orchestra……..the music of angels, I cried my eyeballs out…..
It's as beautiful now as it was 15 years ago.

I saw them in Manchester many years on the Takk tour & the appearance of the brass section walikng on from stage left was an unexpected awe inspiring joyous magical moment i will never forget, takk ❤️❤️❤️
