At 11:57 he’s showing part of what makes Sean Strickland look so silly. So, today, you’d be taught to answer the phone. But what they’re teaching here is to elongate your guard and block with the forearm. This is called a forearm cancel. Now watch Sean flail his arm out all goofy and shit. What is he doing? It’s a forearm cancel. He looks silly doing it because he’s doing it from Philly shell, which means his arm has a long way to travel. Which is why he darts it out in a flailing motion. But it’s not just random flailing, Sean is utilizing what’s being shown in this video.
Man I want that sparring gear🔥 Tuff Wear is not even a thing anymore in Amateur Boxing! The 90’s had the best Boxing gear ever 💯! Boxing Gear today is very cheap except Winning, and Reyes !!
As a boxing trainer trained in Cuba in general the boxing school is very similar to the basics around the world. But they overlook the improvement of certain technical elements which are very important for the reaction of counterattack which these and sertas technical differences in comparison of the two schools. In the differences in the combat school for the development and improvement of the technique there are many differences clear that what they show is
when compared to the Cuban or Soviet style, this American style is the simplest. we cannot judge which one is superior because it depends on the boxer, the maximum in each style will definitely be the best.
Never jab stepping to the sides, you can get caught real quick by a good sowthpaw with a jolting left, you can''t reach him as good as he would reach you with the left when you are stepping sideways, thus the one who goes forwards will allways have the reach advantage. I would only say that it's a safe choice to check hook sideways using sidesteps, counters are the only thing that works neatly when going backwards or sideways.
Damn I really missed my calling I can really box and ain’t never been in no boxing ring. I use these techniques automatically. 💪🏿 is 35 too old to start?
Minor deficiencies that with a good job you can improve the quality of boxing in the USA I am a trainer and studied both Cuban boxing and all the countries of the former USSR Russia, Croatia, etc. Which have become powerhouses of both Olympic style boxing in all world championships and Olympics but USA does not figure in these tournaments I feel hard in the participation of young boxers of USA which some achieve on going out in professional boxing I hope
Lmfaooooo this is from 1996 and an introductory course. This isn’t even explaining personal styles, tailoring to weight classes, etc. The US also has the best professional boxers and a competitive amateur resume.
4 I wish you to change what is less important what are the small technical and tactical details from the training of the student in the USA boxing school and the best development in the combat school my deceos for a better future in Olympic style boxing ok
2 It is very Basque and leisurely I think it is more a review for the general public. Because already working with greater intencence you could see the capabilities in the boxing school and the combat school of the USA. It is known the difference in Cuban boxing and its superiority in me all the world championships and Olympics as well as in the tops between the two schools of Cuba and USA I think that if you work on the improvement of all the details that I observe in some deficiencies i
Mannnn this would do numbers if they did it in 2024. USA boxing breath some life into the sport and put out more content to lure people into the sport pleaseeee! As an engineer I’ll offer any of my services up for free if it means this beautiful sport continues to thrive.
Just do the opposite, plus they do have southpaw strategies in the video. I'm not a leftie, but I've gotten used to practicing both sides after I did martial arts, and even for me, the lack of southpaw content can be frustrating, but just do the opposite.

There’s still masters. It’s never too late to learn the science of fighting. Especially as a man - it’s a character builder being socked in the face.

Usa has and always has had the best boxers. No other countries come close in terms of boxing talent.
