Good day everybody, today we will be doing a hymn titled “Jesus Loves Me.” This was originally a poem written by Anna B. Warner in 1860 to bring comfort to a dying child. In 1862 William B.Bradbury wrote the tune and chorus “ Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me the Bible tells me so.” When thinking of the lyrics of this song I was reminded of Romans 5 verses 8-10: “ But God commendeth his love toward us , in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son,much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 6:23 “ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Call on Jesus Christ today and you will be saved from your sin.
