super cute, looks like a late 90s/early 2000s dream house lol. I don't know if it'd help but I remember from my pottery classes that if you're trying to stick things together like that, you can put score marks in both pieces before adding your "glue" and it almost works like a puzzle or like sandpaper, letting it adhere better to the opposite surface

A few of my favourite tips for GB house decor. A piece of foil with white icing beach makes great looking skating pond. Pez candies for bricks. Great for sidewalks or paths. Bubble tape or fruit by the foot for roof shingles Dust then blow around icing sugar for snow drifts. Don't forget the plastic Santa for the roof!
After seeing the embed loaf, I would love for one year to make the house using all those extras as a way to really tie up and remember the year. I think it would be super fun
This came out absolutely charming! Maybe make experimenting with different color palettes a tradition? Like next year you could do blue and while and lean hard into an "ice and snow" theme. Next year do a very classic red and green. Maybe do a deliberately faded-out version of those colors to make it look "vintage", like it's something years and years old. Heck, do one where you style it so it looks a bit weathered like it's an old Victorian house, or something! Oooh, use very Victorian colors for that, like burgundy, super-deep forest green, brown, gold, etc. That could look so classy! And I too love the lights inside. Keep that effect!
A tip on assembling roofs on gingerbread houses - lay a ribbon across the house and frost both sides (leaving a small gap for the ribbon) then add the roof and then pull both ends of the ribbon and tie them together atop the triangular apex of the roof. It’ll prevent it from slipping and falling off. Untie or cut the ribbon and just slide it out when the frosting has hardened to keep it together. It’s such a simple but perfect technique.

Just had an idea for a 2023 soap: 80s & 90s! 80s: Pastel colors with a grid pattern & maybe glass brick & slotted sunglasses embeds. 90s: Bold colors with alien head, yin yang, peace symbol, & striped tophat embeds. Triangle, circle, square, & squiggle embeds would work in both decades.
Next Year has to be some sort of clear with glitter. That way you can have a really neat Ice house that the light shines through! Lovely video! Thank you so much.
I would grate soap all over the brown cardboard. Right now we have about 18 inches of snow on the ground, so it only seems fitting that the ground be covered in white. I love this idea. I've made a volcano for a children's science show out of soap and a superpowered bathbomb, but I've never tried a 'gingerbread style' house. Next time I see the silicone moulds for sale, I'll have to remember and grab some, or maybe just wing it, like I did with the 40cm tall volcano I hand sculpted with re-batched soap.

The following would be my ideas off the top of my head; all made from soap, of course New Years: a fun girly party drink Valentine's Day: box of Chocolates, bouquet of roses or a snow globe with glitter, hearts & a romantic scene inside St. Patrick's Day: a mug of green beer with frothy cap Easter: an Easter basket Mother's Day: a spa kit with an assortment of your favorite scented soaps Memorial Day: A floral arrangement Father's Day: Boat in a bottle, sports stuff or paperweight Flag Day: a soap "cake" with flags on it 4th of July: soaps with a bunch of sparkes in them to simulate fireworks, you could experiment with injecting colors into clear soaps to simulate fireworks Labor Day: bunch of corn, barrel of apples, other harvest fall items, pumpkin spice latte in a coffee cup Halloween: jack-o-lantern, haunted "gingerbread" house, trick or treat bag with treats Thanksgiving: Cornucopia or a pie Christmas: "Gingerbread" house, Christmas tree, little wrapped gifts or a stocking with goodies Again, all made of soap. Feel free to use any of this with my blessings. It would be a fun marketing tool & would translate to all social media platforms where you'd leave a link to your current auction.

I have a tip for ginger bread roofs. Put a ribbon in between the house and roof, set the roof on and tie the ribbon at the peak. This holds the roof on until it's stuck on and then you can remove the ribbon.

Oh it's perfect! I've loved every one you've made, but this one really shows how your skills have advanced. Honestly, just transfer what you do here into frosting for your next cupcake challenge....Your frosting skills are already "baked" in. :D
It came out awesome! Reminds me of making gingerbread houses in the pastry shop haha. One thing that might help with attaching the roof is if you score the top edges of the walls where they meet the roof piece with a paring knife (like make some rough scratches/cuts in it) that would help with holding your soap glue and give it something to grip rather than the smooth soap surface. You can also score on the underside of the roof piece where it meets the walls too. We actually do this when making chocolate displays 👍 you could also score the edges of each wall piece when you put those together to make the bond stronger, although that part seemed to go pretty good for you.
