Will we do it better than the Amish in the long run? Probably not. It strikes me as a flight from the world- instead of aiming to be in the world but not of it
Very interesting. Let’s see, a right wing, Appalachian, Christian intentional community. That will be interesting to see how it all works out. I wish them well. There’s already one that is well established in Moscow, Idaho. Led by Doug Wilson. It’s obviously not Appalachian but similar in many ways. Now if someone proposed a left wing, California style (sun & surf) , Progressive Christian intentional community I would be seriously interested. Thanks Karen & Nate.
@@RichardCosci I was about to say, “But wouldn’t it be more fun to develop a community where all of good heart could live together in safety?”, and then I thought perhaps safety is not a value for all points of view. We live in a complicated world.
@@TheMeaningCode Safety, I think is a natural universal value. Hard to imagine otherwise. My best friends son attends Doug Wilson’s church in Idaho. The deacons there are all packing heat. Just in case the “government “ or some crazy mass murderer tries to harm them or try to make them wear masks.
I believe he's simply being more transparent about his situation than TLC's reluctance to openly admit opposition to wokeism, for example. Today's partisanship isn't confined to political parties; rather, it lies within the cultural rift between the woke minority and those who oppose them. Again, look at JBP, the inspiration behind TLC's formation. It's not a coincidence he landed on the right.
Would love to talk about how Nate (and many other bodies) are doing it wrong from an information technology perspective. For example, I haven't received an email indicating they received my information after submitting the form.
I emailed your comment to Nate and here is his response: “Karen, thanks for flagging this - have heard from a few people. We actually send out auto-response after sign up and have also sent a few updates, so maybe caught in spam filter? Will look into it on our end.”

Really interested in your comments on this. Is it a good idea? A bad idea? Why or why not?

That being said, I wish him the best of luck
This is very Interesting! I'd love to talk with him. Forwarding this video to a few of my conservative friends.
Wow, he's so far ahead of most of us. I don't mind avoiding all the trial and error haha.

I share a lot of other Nate's vision, but branding it as of the right is a mistake.
I totally agree. Wrong turn. How could we help him get that straightened out?
Maybe if you had a conversation with him?
People who leave normie society are Left. It is the Right who sell their soul to The Man.

@@EmJay2022 Some TLC are as political as JP. But that isn't what TLC is all about. PVK is Left.

@@TheMeaningCode thanks Karen, maybe a text message or phone call will need to happen too. Email can be less reliable for sure.
Does Nate practice making Jesus his king?
Either way, I'm trying to fill out the form.
I filled out the form. I was actually looking for something like this. I was pointed this direction this morning.
The spirit of trying to help connect people is a good one. Hopefully it is done in combination with the Holy Spirit.

Sounds like BS to me.
