The funny thing is that this really comes down from top management. If the sales people don't get the runway to build those relationships it doesn't help. Also Management dropping the price at the end of the month / quarter won't help the sales people build that trust. especially in this time, its easy to sell in a great economy but relationships matter in a downward economy.
