got to say ive just recently brought one and had a few issues with this plane.thought id mention a couple of the main ones i found. big gap where the rudder meets fuselage ,the angle was way off. had 2 retract rods missing from kit.. had to relocate fuel tank lower in fuselage to avoid siphoning effect of 0s 55ax engine inverted to get carburetor and fuel tank inline as per os instructions after fixing all issues its a great flyer
Very Informative video as expected from you. When you do the Build Video or Maiden Video, please let us know the Parts you use. (Motor, ESC, Servos, ect.) Where you got them would be nice and if you include the price you paid, it would be even better! I also like the Power Runs you do with the Motors. Since you said you were going to use a known Power Package, if you have already done a video of that Power Run, please include the link to it. Thanks!
@@RCVideoReviews yes Sir I'll be watching. I think it's crazy that you went to a Phoenix War Bird. I've been eyeballing the Phoenix Model Focke-Wulf FW 190 .46-.55 GP/EP ARF. I was about to pull the trigger on that. So your review of their P-51 might come in handy when picking parts for the FW 190 and the build I might expect for that plane. The Flight characteristics would be different for sure but the Build might be close.
@@davidknutz3314 I'm sure the wing loading will be similar. I'm using an Eflite Power 52 with a 100a Turnigy Red ESC for the Mustang. Prop will probably be a 14x8. Will know more after testing. I have the Phoenix Spitfire and PC9. All are similar. You can check out the motor on the PC9 for a two bladed Cobra setup and the motor on the Spitfire for a three bladed setup. Both planes fly with plenty of ooomph.
Ciao , io l'anno scorso ho comprato un PC9 Pilatus della Phoenis model, tutti hanno un problema nel fissare le ali nella fusoliera ,volevo chiederti se' anche il Mustang ha lo stesso problema, grazie ciao
Very good video, thank you. I have older model then this which one didn't had EP version, so it didn't had battery hatch on top. But almoust all other is the same. I think catalog number of mine was PH065 and catalog number of your model is PH068. But, mine problem is what I can't find anywhere User manual ( CG special) for it either for this or older model. Do you maybe know where I can downbload it or if not, can you tell me where is CG on this Mustang, please?
I use you tip abput CG and make a dot on wing, perfect. But I forget to ask about throws. Can you give me some info about low and high manufactor values, please?
Phoenix models should never have scraped the orange Strega Mk 1. I'm curious as to whether the wing halves on your particular P51 came off the strega templates. They look almost identical apart from the gear cut outs.
@@RCVideoReviews Phoenix stocked the orange Strega up until about 3 years ago. It had the hall marks of a P51 but was stripped of all the finer scale details. They now only have the Mk 2 red and white version in the 46 size which im sure yourd be aware of. It would just be interesting to know whether they use the same wing templates across a number of their P51 46 range.
@@RPM-wd9rb I've looked at that Red/White Strega many times. I have more P51s than any other plane--that's why I keep passing on the Strega. No idea on the wing template though, sorry.

Phoenix is the perpetual "get it close" plane. Always have some little issue with them. Thanks for the report.
Did Phoenix models just install the retracts backwards?

I've had the motor for a while, but it shouldn't be too hard to include that info...and I know you'll keep an eye out for it.

Ho avuto molti aerei Phoenix. Il Pilatus è l'unico che mi ha dato quel tipo di problema. La Mustang è andata bene insieme.
@@RCVideoReviews ok grazie,lo consigli? Ciao grazie
Solo se sei un buon pilota. Ti morderà se volato lentamente. Ho visto i tuoi video però, penso che tu possa farlo. Come sta il Pilatus?

I never saw an Orange Strega, just their red one. Isn't the Strega just a heavily modified P51 racer?

Does the controller come with the plane or do you have to buy it
This plane is an ARF. You have to supply all electronics.
