Hey Faye, I just started residency and this week I had to call in sick, I felt the same way you did, so guilty, even though I feel like a complete scam most of the time. It was lovely to listen to you, you are doing great!

Faye this video is massively made a positive impact on me as an intern and I couldn’t be more thankful for you sharing a lot of the feelings and experiences I’ve been through personally. Thank you for dropping these gems, I’m going to save this and rewatch every time I suffer from imposter syndrome. You rock!

Faye this video is absolutely brilliant. I especially loved the puffa fish and road rage analogy. As a Paeds nurse who has recently moved to a new speciality (I’m 3.5 years qualified) I relate so much to the feeling of imposter syndrome. It’s been so humbling starting somewhere new and feeling like I know nothing! Thank you for the tips 💓

i've started a new job at the end of last year and i've felt massive imposter syndrome every single day, especially since everyone around me has a degree and i dropped out of uni after 3 months lol. but it's been important to remind myself, they wouldn't have given me the job if they didn't think i was capable. thank you for this faye, loved every point you made

think i teared up like 4 different times! i'm coming from a slightly different angle w/ experience of this, but your experience nonetheless shone such a brave and honest light on it all; thanks so much!

Girl I never wanna hear you have imposter syndrome again👏🏼you’re educated in what you do and that education wasn’t given to you on a silver platter or drop from the sky, those are classes you spent your valuable time in, studying late nights while maintaining balanced life, and you passed those exams all. by. yourself. You earned this right to be called a doctor.

Love your videos, thanks for them - as a woman of colour, just wanted to point out that Sheen Gurrib stole that whole impostor syndrome/bicycle face example from Reshma Saujani (Moms first, Girls who code), another woman of colour who used the example during one of her commencement speech at Smith's College. Saujani is also excellent on impostor syndrome generally if anyone is interested to look more into it. xxx

FAYEEEE!! You have no idea how perfect the timing of this video is for me. I'm losing my mind. I just finished my first semester of law school in the US. If you know anything about how they typically work, we're graded on a curve... only so many A's to go around. And I? Am smack dab in the middle of that curve after the first semester. Not great, but not failing. And while I know people who got Cs or potentially worse are probably in a tougher spot mentally... I am still losing it and experiencing imposter syndrome for the first time. Logically, it feels ridiculous when I hear myself say this (or even as I type it now). I can't believe I feel that way... and maybe deep down, I don't believe it's true? But nevertheless, there it is. Thank you thank you thank you for making this video. The big sister energy we all need

Hey faye, im appearing for my step 1 in a few weeks and i've been feeling like i don't deserve to be here literally everyday. Feeling like i don't know anything and im going to fail because there are way smarter people out there, constantly comparing my prep and hard work with others. I really needed this video and thank you so much for reminding me why we are doing this anyways!
Im just going to give my best shot now because i've worked way to hard to give myself a shit time and only count my weaknesses🤌🏻 Thanks girl! You're always a life saver👏🏻

my old car wouldn't change from full beam to half unless I smacked the thing with both hands multiple times, not knowing when it would actually change. this is not safe to do when driving at night so I would often accidentally blind people. I felt so bad, and other road users made me know how they felt. I now have a different car, and the lights work like a dream. I found myself getting angry at people blinding me the other day and started flashing them. I then realised the irony of this situation and I'm trying to apply kindness in these moments and remember this example in other areas as much as possible

Completely relate to the imposter syndrome.. starting my midwifery degree in September & keep thinking to myself that I’m just a normal person, I can’t be a midwife. I have no common sense or intelligence! 😅
